I don't know if this question fits here but I need your opinion.

1)I'm a young lady that needs a car(1st car) just mostly for work ,church and back home.

2) my budget is 400k to 500k so I'm looking at Nigeria used

3) between Honda civic(2001-2004) and Peugeot 206 which will you recommend or if you have other suggestion I'll be grateful. Easy maintenance and cheap part is important. Thanks

Kindly note I know nothing about cars.thank you

Getting a car of 2000-2005 is less expensive than getting a car of 2010. No point buying a newer model car if you are just going to buy a car.
thanks

I drive by myself.
It depends on what figures you are looking at.
I will advice, since you are just buying the car, go for a less expensive car and target around 25k weekly
. Less expensive car like which and which

Uber they are thieves. Instead of them to increase fare once and for all, they keep deceiving hard working drivers with their useless artificial surge. My elder brother wanted to take uber yesterday, the estimated price was just too high so he did Taxify. He was happy cos the fare was fair both d driver and the rider were happy. Taxify fare is fair to both d drivers and d riders but uber, its either is too high or too low. Just like gamble. Uber are loosing their customers by the day and I'm also helping them to loose more customers as I always spoil uber when I'm driving a customer on taxify. Once we have conversation about uber and taxify, I kill uber no be small. One had to delete his uber riders app in my front. They complain its taking forever to get a ride on uber. Me too I'll now add too much pepper and salt.

Nice to see that you are board now.
On Tues, I made 9k5 after fueling and yesterday, I made 9k, which is not bad considering Uber fares. It will only get better as I get more experience as this is my second full week on Uber. And I started driving each day around 8am. I am resting today.
are you driving your self, cos everyone I talk to I get discouraged because I won't drive myself, how can one benefit from this if are buying and giving to someone to drive

I have even seen Nigerian used for far less, but I have not inspect it anyway.

My sister bought hers 600k (American 2000 model auto with AC) when dollar to naira was 400+ and the engine wasn't good, the person who inspect it didn't do a good job, new changed for 90k borne by both parties (seller and buyer grin).

@Naturelle05, the Civic is your best bet, the European version looks more solid in terms of body and can withstand stress more than the American version.

You can even get the tokunbo of the European as little as 650k to 900k depending on year and type of transmission. It has a wagon too, so good, if you intend to use it as a transportation vehicle during your free times (for eggs, bread etc).

No civic experience leg pull, I have not seen it once whether it's European or American leg pull isn't associated with this model.

If you get one very clean without rust at 300 to 350 even if engine is bad, it will be good as the remaining balance can be used to source for engine and do solid leg works for the car which will give you peace of mind

European version pix attached
thank you very much was actually thinking of this

It was 2 years old. Still looking clean.
Not the dealership cos they've long forgotten they sold the car.

Not at gun point. Was parked in front of a house within an estate. It was realised within an hour after it was stolen.

but they usually HV a tag the security give at the gate, ask the security men please

shocked

Was it snatched at gunpoint?
If yes, what model of gun was used?

It hurts me to tell you the truth, but it has to be said.
Move on man!
This is Naija...you will never get that car back.
That your car is either being sprayed to another colour for resale or being butchered up to be sold as spare parts at Nkpor, Ogidi or Nnewi.

Instead of looking for this lost car
Start looking for a cheap replacement on OLX.
is this the best you can say

Uber is still lucrative, depending on your approach. If you are car owner and looking for a driver to rent and pay you weekly, you still get within 25-30k weekly. And if you drive yourself, you should make higher.
This is my first week driving my self on uber and I made more than 30k, without any experience or prior knowledge on how it works. And I didn't put in the whole day into driving as I had to do other stuff in between.
is it still 2002 model sedan car above?
