Politics › Re: Electronic Transmission Of Election Results Must Be Mandatory - NBA To NASS by Naustine(m): 2:52pm On Feb 08 |
LibertyRep: You really didn't get my concern. The word MANDATORY means it has to be there. What happens to the result of places where for whatever reason the transmission couldn't happen in real time? You still do not get it... making it mandatory is a form of having a two factor authentication on the results. I work in an organization where I transmit data everyday, there is an offline mode of transmitting these things which you cannot recall after sending, but once you get to a place where there is network is automatically synchronizes and sends c'mon men this is 2026 not 1996 for Christ sake. Besides a country like Nigeria should be ashamed mentioning service unavailability in 2026. Y'all should stop encouraging these politicians to use their own failures against our progress |
Politics › Re: Falana, Utomi, Bugaje Kick Against Rejection Of E-Transmission Of Results by Naustine(m): 2:41pm On Feb 08 |
sailor2011: Alaye , shut it...this Nigeria , anything can happen at anytime...as you are shouting yourself hoarse on e transmission , other rogue elements are planning a sabotage that will Invalidate a lot of results...use your head not your a****s Like they are not already sabotaging the existing process right? So it's better we continue on this current heavily flawed process? If your are patriotic as you claim, you would support anything that can improve our electoral process in in anyway.. as for the last line.. I'll suggest you put on your thinking cap whenever a thread comes up before responding like a bot |
Politics › Re: Electronic Transmission Of Election Results Must Be Mandatory - NBA To NASS by Naustine(m): 2:34pm On Feb 08 |
LibertyRep: I think the operational word is MANDATORY.
So what happens in case of network glitch or anything that prevents the transmission? The result is invalid.
You don't get the idea do you? This is to ensure that there are two copies of the authentic results gotten from the pooling centre. One electronic and one hardcopy. It's that simple. It gets us closer to a free and dair election than this manual where they can mutilate before or even at the collation centres |

Alliswell248: Clown and noisemaker. Even in the US and the UK, there is nothing like that. Do they mutilate result sheets there too? |
Politics › Re: Falana, Utomi, Bugaje Kick Against Rejection Of E-Transmission Of Results by Naustine(m): 1:38pm On Feb 08 |
sailor2011: All those shouting Real time transmission of elections data are not even aware that there are people that could sabotage the transmission in a particular zone thereby Invalidating the results from that zone , giving undue advantage to their preferred candidate...🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 See the kind of argument you are making in 2026... aren't your ashamed of what you just typed? Transmitting results real time is a way to make sure that what is counted at the pooling units is the same as what the returning officer submits at the collection centres. Thereby removing this issue of mutilated results and politicians writing results at the comfort of their homes. Besides if anyone would have the ways and means of hacking INEC, it should be the ruling party. So why are they afraid? |
Politics › Re: Falana, Utomi, Bugaje Kick Against Rejection Of E-Transmission Of Results by Naustine(m): 8:57am On Feb 08 |
R2bees2: Their argument is that there are communities without power supply which could be a serious problem during E-Transmission of results, so how do we ensure it won't be a problem. I think it is a strong point Even 5% battery life on any electronic device would confidently transmit results. That argument is dead |
Politics › Re: Falana, Utomi, Bugaje Kick Against Rejection Of E-Transmission Of Results by Naustine(m): 8:54am On Feb 08 |
LibertyRep: Wait, is it that they completely rejected e-transmission or refused to make it mandatory. Those aren't the same though
Making it mandatory will open more room for litigation. Imagine if for any reason the transmission could not happen, then the result will be invalid because it is mandatory to do so.
We need balanced discussion from those for and against the electronic transmission, if course, without the usual emotion and pettiness. What are those things that could make the transmission not to work? Identify them and fix them . It's that simple. Transmitting results from pooling units takes just kilobytes not even megabytes, why are we making it sound like it's rocket science with all these flimsy excuses |

Exousiang01: LoL 90 % of you Nigerians just walk around with certificates, zero education. We are talking about realtime upload of votes you lots are mentioning South Africa. You think electronic voting automatically means real-time ? You are obviously in teens. South Africa never did electronic but never transmitted realtime. Get some education please. You are obviously naive and have no knowledge of 2026 tech. Stop disgracing yourself with stupid takes on this issue. You are stuck in 1993 method of manual election. U need to update your OS |
Politics › Re: Nigeria Not Ready For Real-time Transmission Of Election Results – Shagari by Naustine(m): 8:08am On Feb 07 |
franchasng: What are you blabbing about?
Someone like you is not supposed to have access to Internet Honestly.
Realtime transmission of election results (snapped election results sheet not even figures which makes it impossible to rig) is possible because it will be done once within few minutes or even seconds.
Realtime transmission means after the polling unit concludes voting, the INEC collation officer there snap the result sheet before everybody present, switch on his device and an internet transmitter which will connect directly to starlink network or even three alternatives, and within a minute the polling officer has transmitted the snapped polling unit result sheet to the central INEC server accessible to all Nigerians to view and note down.
So where does this some villages does not have internet network comes from? Starlink network is in space covering all over earth, all you need is the starlink internet accessories to access it which will be provided to every INEC polling unit official.
This evil and backwardness you guys are supporting because you believe it will favor your tribesmen currently in power, it will affect you one day, keep supporting evil with unfounded excuses I shook my head after reading that nonsense he wrote. I can't believe people still have that mindset in 2026 |

Exousiang01: The one major problem we have in Nigeria is ignorance.
The opposition leaders are not ignorant, they know what they are asking for cannot work, but they also know the kind of followers they have, they those set of things don't think, they know whatever they say will be taken hook-line-sinker.
Ask them how many of the 1st world countries with centuries of advanced tech than Nigeria are doing real-time and they won't be able to mention.....
Many are ignorant of the true meaning of words "Compulsory" and "real-time" in this context
Please can you show us where the countries who are doing it "REAL-TIME" and "COMPULSORY"......
Well these guys pushing you lots know you won't take note of those two words You sound educated and at the same time uneducated.. I'm shocked |
