if ur entire family was kidnapped, would u want the govt to negotiate a ransom if there are no viable means to rescue ur families without ur mom, dad, all ur kids all ur sisters been killed through collateral damage, and only u will survive during the crossfire. Secretly paying a ransom so it wont sent a message to others kidnappers and therefore using intelligence to capture the kidnappers later on. Now imagine the kidnappers have even killed ur dad during the hostage situation or u want them to storm there gun blazing everywhere without no guarantee that the kidnappers wont even killed all of you at the first sound of a gun shot.?

That is exactly why hostage rescue is one of the hardest operations any military or police unit can undertake.... if u are human enough and u are able to reason completely sound, u will realise that the goal of a rescue mission is not just to stop the kidnappers, but to save many important lives as possible. Every innocent lives matter. Or too you so long as they are not your families their lives don't matter?

The monetary aspect and landed property ownership are not hard for someone like El Rufai to get 2 people in Kaduna to sign on his behalf.

El Rufai can even cough out that amount on behalf of his sureties


So what is stringent about this ?

It's the case of phone tapping that is being prosecuted by the DSS that has more stringent demands which the judge set for him that will be difficult for El Rufai to meet , one of which was to get serving civil servants at Grade level 17 who own properties in Maitamma, Abuja.

As per this bail set by the Kaduna State High Court, El Rufai can easily meet it but even if he does, he still won't be free as he is still facing another charge for phone tapping before an Abuja Federal High Court.

That is the one he can't meet because I doubt there are any serving civil servants who own properties in Maitamma. The ones who did have probably sold theirs or have since retired.

Government pressured the kidnappers to free the victims. After they released the victims, common sense would tell you that the soldiers who already surrounded the place would not just walk away. They'll attempt to arrest the terrorists. During that attempt, there'll be a shoot out, and of course, there was one in which a soldier died. But eventually, arrests were made.

To the victims, the situation would look as though they were released. But to the government and the soldiers, they were rescued. Government pressures and might were major factors that led to their release, otherwise, the story would have been different.

It is a shame on Atiku if he expects to be spoonfed with such details as this. Some people, and infact, many people just have low IQ.
