Webmasters / Re: ***make Money With Facebook Apps For Webmasters***** by nauvel: 2:52pm On Nov 18, 2010
No demo! No try before you buy!

If this is really your first app, you are not instilling a lot of confidence in people.

How do you expect people to drop 5k on something that has not been proven to work flawlessly.

You should provide a free, limited-functionality version first, let people get a feel of it, then a paid full version.

my 2.2 cents

Puhleeeease!

Google, Facebook, Yahoo, Bing. They are all the same as far as i am concerned. All interested in getting every information they can about you.
They keep data about everything you do on their servers. That is what their business is all about afterall. If you love your privacy so much, be very careful about what you do online.

Computers / Re: Globacom Submarine Cable - Glo-1 by nauvel: 9:54am On Nov 10, 2010
Looking at the new AlwaysMAX plan, i.e 7,500 for 6 GB all day, the others just don't make sense.

These packages are senseless
6,000 for 3GB - 8am-9pm
5,000 for 3GB - 8pm-9am
5,000 for 1.5GB - All Day

Glo still needs a major attitude adjustment *shakes head in disappointment*

Computers / Re: Globacom Submarine Cable - Glo-1 by nauvel: 7:07am On Nov 09, 2010
It's like the engineers at glo haven't figured out how to connect glo-1 to the existing architecture.
Meanwhile, Main One that landed after them has been operational for quite a while now.
*shakes head at glo's state of mind*

Poor Cactus, many messengers usually get shot. wink
Computers / Re: Globacom Submarine Cable - Glo-1 by nauvel: 1:32pm On Nov 08, 2010
Well, i for one use Glo. Posting with it right now. Apart from all these "fair Usage" crap, the speeds are fantastic.
Imagine having a 1-2Mbps connection with a limit of 3-5GB per month, it's frustrating. angry

Politics / Re: Is Aba A Reflection Of What Biafra Would Have Been? by nauvel: 11:26pm On Sep 30, 2010
When thinking about secession, try looking at it from a proper socio-economic angle.
In 1966, the Nigerian society was not as inter-tribal as it is now, where an Igbo man now has multi-storey buildings and businesses in the south-west or Abuja.
If a secession takes place, there will be heavy loses for whoever is seceding.

What also happens to those who have married into other tribes?

Instead of the cry for secession think of ways to improve the quality of life in the South East as a whole. Implore your leaders to implement policies and projects that will enhance the lives of everybody.
This advice also applies to Nigeria as a whole.
Tribalism and finger-pointing will lead us nowhere as a nation!
Webmasters / Re: Between Mtn F@stlink And Cpanel by nauvel: 9:15am On Sep 25, 2010
Dual Core is correct.
Had the same problem months back with Glo. I thought my webhost was the problem. I then used another ISP, it worked flawlessly.
This issue cropped up on Zain too! Don't know if it has been solved. Our GSM-based ISPs need a serious attitude adjustment.

A lot of the responses on this thread only shows that people can be selectively blind, deaf and dumb when the truth is before them.
