Fellow nairalanders, i want U̶̲̥̅̊ αℓℓ to advice me concerning my girlfriend. I met her more than a year now, she is a xtian from Akwa Ibom state and am a Muslim from south west. We met at working place and we started dating after i disclosed my feelings to her. Everything went on smoothly untill early this year when she asked me to come and meet her family and she said she will let them (her family) aware of my visit first . To my/her suprise, her family said she shouldnt come home with any man who isnt a Xtian. Though we're still together because she claimed she love me but not like before. Nairalanders, should i continue with her? |

We didn’t arrest Aregbesola’s son for money laundering —Customs The Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos Command of the Nigerian Customs Service has said that it did not arrest the son of Osun State governor, Kabiru Aregbesola, for alleged money laundering on May 12, 2105, as widely alleged by some persons in the media. The media reports had stated that the governor’s son was on his way to the United Arab Emirates aboard an Emirates Airlines when he was allegedly nabbed with a huge amount of money. But the Acting Public Relations Officer, MMIA Command, NCS, Mr Victor Ogagbo, told newsmen at the airport, on Thursday, that the report was false. Ogagbo explained that some people made inquiries regarding the said “arrest”, saying he had told them that the governor’s son was not arrested by the command anywhere at the Lagos airport. “The report is false. We did not arrest him. People made inquiry that period and we told them it was false,” Ogagbo said. Osun State Government had also since refuted the claims. In a statement by the Director, Bureau of Communication & Strategy, Office of the Governor, Mr Semiu Okanlawon, the government maintained that Kabiru neither travelled nor detained by security agencies for money laundering. The statement had read, “It has become pertinent to inform Nigerians and others generally that there is no iota of truth in the story being peddled around by some misguided elements, claiming that a son of Governor Rauf Aregbesola of Osun, Kabir Aregbesola, was arrested at the Muritala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos with a huge sum of money in foreign currencies. “The younger Aregbesola neither travelled anywhere nor had any encounter with any security personnel. It is obvious the evil minds at work are out to drag an innocent young man’s name into this dirt in order to get at his father.” Sources; The Nigerian Tribune |

No doubt, for the first time in history of the senate electing the SP is keenly contested. The era of PDP was selection. News says Ndume and Akume have stepped down, right? We are left with these 2: Lawan and Saraki, right? A summary of their profile; Lawan is from one of the legacy party that formed APC which is ANPP. ANPP have been in opposition since 1999, right? It will be safe to say Lawan is more of a progressive, right? Now Saraki is from the nPDP that decamped to our party after APC have been formed, right? Is he a progressive minded, I don't think but make no mistake, he's qualified and competent to head the senate. He will bring colour and glamour to the senate but I can not guarantee some difficult executive bills to be passed like bills on corruption and cutting down NASS members earnings. GMB is an old man who will need team players to make his work load light. Between Lawan and Saraki, who do you think will be a better team player?
