folake4u:You way de fear to see me. Shebi we're both in Lagos, we can meet this weekend make I see if you go get liver to knock me. 😏 |
pocohantas:Don't worry. I'll keep you posted. I just don't like giving too much details about my love life online. |
Deicide:Try something like this Administrative Assistant | Google Workspace, HubSpot & Excel Specialist You're putting excel because most virtual/administrative roles comes with lots and lots of data entry. So you'd have to know your way around Excel in order to perform efficiently. |
GloriousGbola:You too like wahala. 😩 |
You're obviously still a learner in the game. There is serious hunger in the land. So you don't ask girls out cos that's like opening the door for unnecessary billing. But you can still get her laid without spending shi shi. The problem with most of you guys is that you're too impatient. You want her for yourself, you want an answer now, you keep bugging and disturbing her every 30 seconds for a reply. No be so my guy... If you see a girl you like, just vibe with her and avoid mentioning anything relating to love. And as you do, keep complaining about the economy and how things are difficult. That way she won't mistakenly bill you. Now the question is if she isn't billing you, what is she gaining from you. She should be gaining something from you. This is where my next paragraph comes in. In Lagos today, just have a good well furnished apartment and if possible a car and like I sad before you won't spend shi shi. Infact she's the one who would be calling you that she wants to come over for weekend. Just respond by telling her you don't have money and she'll tell you no problem and come with her money. Just ensure there's provision in the house so she'll cook when she comes, open your wifi or Hotspot for her, share Netflix with her... Etc. She'll spend the entire weekend with you and your wallet wouldn't blink. Now to the issue of dating, you must make sure she genuinely desires you. If she does, you can take it further. If she doesn't just keep enjoying your free coochie until either of you gets tired. People who suffer the most in the hands of girls are broke guys who are struggling to find their feet. You can't be in that state and be talking about love and relationship. Find your bearing first, then love can come later. |
Deicide:You can try virtual assistant. Add HubSpot and Google Workspace to your title so that prospective client would know that you're tech savvy. |
US speaks just one language which is English. I don't think there's any state you'll go in the US and you wouldn't be able to communicate because of language issues. There are rural areas you'll go to in Nigeria that if you're not from that ethnicity you'll need an interpreter in order to communicate. |
I experienced this during the COVID lockdown. I was so scared cos I couldn't smell anything. But it went after a week or so without me taking any medication. It would heal by itself don't panic and begin self medication. |
FrankNetter:This is nice. I would be following for regular updates. |
Deicide:This isn't an answer. You can't be open to anything cos that's not how upwork works. You'd have to pick a niche, then optimize your profile using that particular niche. This makes you qualify for jobs within that niche. So pick something, any skill. Could be witting, editing, life coach...anything. Then you build your profile in line with that skill. |
Deicide:They're thousands of niches on upwork. The question is what can you do, it's from there you'll know the niche that best suits your skills. |
enemyofprogress:Same here. It's either Victor Oshimen mosque or nothing. It's high time Africans are recognized globally. |
Madam koi koi not lady koi koi And we also had willy willy Karashika. And many more. |
Me I've already donated my 1bn. I might even make it 2bn sef. E get as e de do me. |
It's often said that poor people are extremely violent and always angry. Now I'm beginning to believe that saying. |
I'm not a fan of Kwam1 but I think I have to agree with NCAA that it's not the same incident. At least he didn't damage the aircraft or assault anyone. |
pocohantas:Could have been the church members that raised money to buy it. The pastor just presented it to her cos he's the head of the church. 😏 |
pocohantas:Maybe he couldn't afford it. Things are very expensive you know. 😏 |
According to Google lense, it's a tropical house cricket. |
henrimoto:Ebonyi State Broadcasting Corporation (EBBC). That's where he became famous. Cos he had listeners in both Ebonyi, Abia and Enugu tuning in to the program to listen to him. |
pocohantas:My argument was on indigenous companies. But sadly, people kept mentioning non indigenous companies and even the non indigenous companies they mentioned are few and extremely difficult to gain employment into. My roommate in school got employed in chevron after NYSC. Chevron pays close to a million for a start. But I can't bring such into an argument cos less than 1% of Nigerian graduates who completed their NYSC that year would be fortunate to experience such. If UN says 80% of Nigerians don't have access to clean water, you might easily counter such report and call it lies cos you have a borehole in your place and treat it regularly, but Nigeria has 36 states. How about those in other states, rural communities and all, do they gave access to clean water? My submission is that any evidence that doesn't make up at least 40% of the topic at hand shouldn't be brought into an argument or even referred to as A Truth . If at least 40% of job seekers across Nigeria cannot easily gain employment in companies that pay above 500k for a start, it means these companies are technically non-existent. Cos what's the point of bringing the extremely few who do into an argument when the vast majority (including the people who mentioned them) don't have the privilege of working there. Doesn't it surprise you that the world regards Nigeria as a poor country even though we can boast of the richest man in Africa being from Nigeria. The reason is because more than 80% of her populace are poor so the remaining % regardless of how rich they are - are irrelevant. That's the point I'm trying to make. |
It's his nature. And besides he's still young and agile. So he should be allowed to enjoy his youth. Maybe when he reaches 80 like our daddy GOs I believe he'll start suiting up. Mark Zuckerberg wears polo shirts and shorts to official events and heaven doesn't fall. So why should this man be prevented from putting on something he feels comfortable in? Abeg people should learn to mind their business. |
I knew this man back in the day, around 2015-2017. He used to host a relationship program on air and callers would call in to give advice. It's during that program I heard marriage stories till I became weak. He's the one who made me develop a phobia for marriage. |
JovialJune:Nigerian jonalists are more interested in clicks and traffic on their page than credibility. That's why when you read some updates written by a Nigerian journalist, you'll just shake your head cos they'll end up saying nothing. |
I said this some months ago that I'm yet to see an indeginous company in Nigeria that pays their staff up to 1m, and I received a trailer load of mentions. Suddenly everybody knew tonns of people who earn more than a million. Even during my 9am - 5pm days it would take you about a decade's worth of experience before your basic salary crosses the 500k benchmark, let alone 1m.That's just the sad reality. If everyone is earning that much, why do people complain each day about hardship? If you apply for a job in Lagos today. The highest rate any company can start with you is 300k. Most would even tell you 150-200k. This is because they spend more trying to sustain their business. No thanks to our unstable economy. If you carry out a random research on people between the ages of 25-35 on nairaland who do 9am to 5pm jobs, I can assure you that less than 10% of them earn above 500k. A vast majority of people between the ages of 25-35 who earn a million and above every month are mostly freelancers who earn in dollars. It's almost impossible for an indigenous company to pay you such an amount. Most especially if their customer base are Nigerians as well. Cc GloriousGbola, pocohantas, Karleb, folake4u... |
If you're buying fuel in your car, switch off the engine, come down and look at the fuel pump machine to confirm that it has been reset back to zero before they sell for you. Also watch and confirm that they input the correct amount you told them you want to buy. Cos once they notice that you just want to sit in your car and allow them fill up, they'll tell you to move front a bit. This is to ensure that you cannot properly see the machine while they sell to you. Thus making it much easier for them to rip you off. |
Domainer1999:You're welcome. |
pocohantas:Very true. If he takes that picture to Arena, Idumota or trade fair those Igbo guys there would find it for him. It's definitely still in the market. |
Domainer1999:Search for trolley bags. |
2m today is like 200k during Buhari's administration. It's nothing. But she try sha. A lot of girls can't even spend 5k on their man. |
Domainer1999:You can check jumia or Temu. They should have it in stock. |

This post doesn't dispute the arguments that day and if I remember right, people mentioned some company names that pay much at starting. A tiny percentage earn well, they are truly not the majory and no one will ever say they are. Two truths can coexist, Naz.
