Keep the advise to yourself bro. I know you have been there several times. You don't even know if I have been there several times too? Your experience is different from mine. Don't ever condemn what others are doing because you think you know it all. We have our different circumstances and experiences so don't force yours on others. I DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW YOU GOT HERE IN THE FIRST PLACE SINCE YOU ARE NOT INTERESTED IN LEAVING NIGERIA.

fairfora:
Did I hear you say Indians and Chinese who came here to tap the opportunity you guys are not seeing cheats? LOL. Go find out the brains behind indigenous toothpicks, handkerchieves and cotton buds. They have started making them here and are made by chinese. You no dey use toothpick and cotton bud? haba. Why didn't you see this before they hijacked it from you hun, clever naija youth? That greener pasture and oven-baked job opportunities you guys crave is not found anywhere. Those who had papers there have no good jobs. See, you're not talking to a novice oo. I have been there severally and have seen it all. You too go and feed your eyes. It's better you go on holiday and come back home. Unfortunately, many are not seeing the untapped opportunities here. Have you heard of the young ugwu and lettuce farmer in benue who rakes in millions of naira every month? what of Ngozi who studied law but turned fashion entrepreneur now known all over the world? I remember the guy who made michelle obama dresses when her husband was president. what of Adepeju Jaiyeoba, etc? Instead of going to work at the laundary company out there, why not open one in Nigeria and be your own boss? laundromat and garmentcare quickly rushed back home to set up their laundary companies and they are well known nationwide today. They even employ graduates with good degrees, lol. They wash the oil and gas facilities, apart from washing clothes. I can see your mind is made up . But you'll thank me later, if only you could look around for opportunities and grab one. Go and read about Ford Motors owner, tommy hilfiger, pierre cardin, Honda, Toyota. Had they followed your line of thought, you would not have heard of them today. They failed many times but believed in themselves. What of wright brothers? that plane you wan enter go canada for no dey today, thanks to them. Do you know you can make cool money by selling latex(condoms) to hospitals? They use it for TV scanning but many do not know this. They always ask my brother to get it for them but it's not his line of business. Rather than attack me, I'd want you ponder on my points.

I will not blame you. When you are kidnapped and come out then we can hear from you. I used to believe in Nigeria butt I no longer do. The Chinese and Indians you are talking of are cheats too and that is why they are rushing to Nigeria. How many people working for them earn decent salary? Abeg keep your advise to oyourself before I will call you enemy of progress.

fairfora:
Oh Nigerian youths. Please think, think again before you leave for that canada whether it's really worth it or not. The opportunity you are looking for is right here, but which millions of Nigerians are too blind to see. Abuse me if you like but you won't say I didn't tell you. If I were Nigerian youths, especially the professionals, I would research into what makes a chinese guy or an indian man come to our own country with a shirt and a pair of trousers but by the time he's going back, he's a rich man. He still uses your brain to make his millions, amazing lol. Please ejowo, bikonu, du alah, think twice

News release
From: Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada

April 19, 2018 – Ottawa, ON – Members of the Ad Hoc Intergovernmental Task Force on Irregular Migration met for the ninth time yesterday to discuss continuing the close collaboration and better ways to address the increase of irregular migrants crossing into Canada over the last several weeks.

Federal Minister and Task Force Chair, Marc Garneau, began the meeting by reiterating the importance of ongoing federal and provincial collaboration in order to manage the influx with compassion and in accordance with Canadian law.

Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship (IRCC) Ahmed Hussen, added that last summer, and throughout 2017, both levels of governments were successful in responding to the movement of irregular migrants by working together to address challenges as they arose.

Minister Hussen underlined new federal investments of $173 million over two years to support the intake and processing of asylum claims, security screening, detentions and removals. This includes an investment of $74 million in the Immigration and Refugee Board (IRB) to expand capacity and process claims faster. He noted that a 40 percent increase in claims finalization was achieved at the IRB last year due to efficiency measures and that the new funding will support decision-making capacity at the IRB, which will relieve pressures on provincial services.

Recently, Minister Hussen met with the ‎High Commissioner of Nigeria where the issue of Nigerians transiting through the U.S. to claim asylum in Canada was discussed.

During his trip to Washington last week, Minister Garneau met with Department of Homeland Security (DHS) officials and raised the issue of irregular migration. Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness Ralph Goodale will be meeting with DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen on the margins of the upcoming G7 Security Ministerial meeting to discuss joint border security and public safety issues, including irregular migration.

Minister Hussen concluded by saying that IRCC and Global Affairs Canada (GAC) continue to work together on outreach in the U.S., meeting with organizations and community leaders. As well, GAC’s U.S. mission network continues to proactively communicate how a rules-based immigration system works and correct any misinformation.

Moving forward, the members of the Task Force agreed to take concrete actions to ensure a coordinated and effective response to the irregular migration situation. To this end, members announced that they will be working together to assess details of Quebec’s claims for additional financial resources.

Officials were directed to explore the development of a possible triage system at or near the Canada-U.S. border. This would include gathering information on asylum claimants’ including their intended destination in Canada with the goal of alleviating pressures on major urban centers and reducing labour shortages in certain regions.

Members also agreed to intensify efforts to work constructively with the United States (U.S.) on the issue of irregular migration.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Minister Garneau encouraged all members to maintain an open dialogue and work together to address shared challenges. Members also acknowledged that those whose claims have been accepted as genuine refugees fleeing violence and persecution will help grow our country as permanent residents.

The Task Force will continue to collaborate and share information moving forward.

I have heard that they verify only certificate sometimes. You can get the school respond to their mail and see how it goes or you can call their attention too it if you want. It all depends on you.

gaggle:
Hi everyone, please I am having a little bit of confusion here. I registered for wes and scanned a copy of my certificate via hellofax some days back but I am still in the process of sending my transcript to them. I am surprised to get this mail this morning :-
"This is to advise you that photocopies of your documents have been sent to University of Port Harcourt for verification and that your file has been placed on hold until we receive their written response. If we do not receive a response from them within seven weeks, we will automatically send another request. There is nothing that you need to do."

Please wat could they possibly be evaluating?...Just the certificate? . Should I now just work on sending a verification to wes or what? When the school replies to wes verification mail do they include another copy of the certificate and transcript . Please anyone with similar experience let me know.

It happened to me too.
I only used the contact us form on the WES website to call their attention to it. You can do that if you wish but they will change it when the school sends the transcript.

Good morning house.
Please permit me to ask this not so intelligent and recurring question.
I faxed my certificate to WES and this is what my account is showing. The school is yet to send the transcript.
Does it mean WES have started working on my evaluation without waiting for the transcript?

Wonderful. My searches were not quite successful. Only saw some numbers that were not active. It means you have an eagle eye . When did your wife finish her programme with NTI? My wife finished in 2009 when they were still affiliated to Usman DanFodio University and we have been afraid the credentials may be difficult to evaluate. Getting support from their regional offices has also been like hell. There is no word on the transcript we applied for in their Enugu office since Nov last year.

Engr2000:
Funny enough I got the guy contact on google. But so far so good, the journey have been smooth with him. my wife transcript have been sent to WES and we are just waiting for the verification from NTI.

Good morning my Fellow Fighters. Congrats to all that have shared their good news

More strength to those that are still in the process

Now straight to my issue

Ever since I opened my WES Account (2 weeks ago), I have not sent any document to them

On opening my account yesterday, I saw we have received your documents and they are under review. Your Evaluation is in progree and you are not required to do anything.

Im very confused as to what document they must have received. Because my school/ICAN is yet to send my transcript to them in hard copy

Moving on, I used Hellofax to send my own personal documents since yesterday but it has not been updated?

Im quite patient when it comes to things like this but I just want to know if there is anything to be worried about?

Thanks for your usual help

Thanks Cochtrane. I will apply for the remark. Am confident I did a good job. My problem is that BC doesn't have enough information on how to apply for the remark and their contact numbers are not reachable. They don't have an office where I am. I just need to know how I can apply for the remark without going to their office. I can wait for the 12 weeks. I will retake later if I feel I need to do that.
cochtrane:
If you are confident you did a good job, you definitely should request a remark. From my experience, I wouldn't really trust their examiners to deliver a good assessment.
