Where is that Amaechi's police aid that helped beat up a legislator.

So the police attached to Wike would not go out with him abi?

Wike should absorb them in to Rivers state employment. Firstly, they should work closely with any security officer attached to Wike.

No radio station in Nigeria beats these three:
Nigeria info lagos
Cool Fm96.9 lagos
Beat FM 99.9 lagos.
They practically have the best oaps in Nigeria.

I seem to have a tepid crush on Nelly Kalu. Those who listen to Nigeria info would be familiar with her. She's a true definition of beauty and brains, not those Nigerian college girls that memorize to get a first class, but can't express themselves articulately or use their degrees to create any useful impact in society.
The person you mentioned is even the worst OAP in that organization... I understand you being love struck, such feelings affects judgment normally.

Secondly, you need to listen to other stations, some even outside Lagos do faar better.

smiley You seem directly touched by this article. Well, the very fact you haven't done anything worthwhile with your life all through the aforestated period doesn't mean others haven't (or aren't willing to). Let those who wanna get motivated by the OP do so and I hope you'll do so too, cheers and happy new year.
I believe my earlier post must have given you a better idea of how not to be a motivator.

That nonsense you put up there is shallow, Simply put. A good motivator don't start a write up that way. My point may not popular but it's the truth.

You may have it on mind to write another thing, don't do it this way. Don't inflict people with your useless bias as the first point to make.

Take it to the bank.
Nairaland General › Re: Now That The Cross-over Jamboree Is Over (must read) by ndcide(m): 8:00pm On Jan 04, 2017
Reiyvinn:
"Next year is my year! My year of breakthrough, success and divine upliftment." — So says the yearly 31st Mantra.

We go to cross-over services, make resolutions, undergo some sort of illusional "clean up" within the edifices of our personality, assume a new state of being for just about the first few weeks before incontrovertibly reverting to our default settings.

We seem more occupied with creating mental pictures of wishful "would-be's," rather than actually figuring out how significant every passing year is to our lives.

It's indeed sad and it goes to show how planless and — so to speak — directionless a vast amount us are about life until it apparently gets to where you'd have to rush through life than you ought to.

Take a look at these for a moment:

* What exactly have you done within the last few years to better your life than you perceive it to be other than just hope?

We are the most hopeful yet the most pathetic; a suffering-and-smiling generation that bases her entire existence on just one thing: hope. For how long will "next year" — which surely never ends — continue to be "YOUR year" yet not so true. When does Hope get exhausted, in the grave?

* How and where do you see yourself next 31st?

Be real, have you got any plans on how you intend to work on those resolutions or are they just ceremonial wishes? Examine the difference between what you were last 31st and this and where you see yourself in the next?

The clock is ticking and it isn't waiting for you, or me or anyone, it's on its way to the next 31st and the next after that and sooner or later the shades of grey on your head would begin to question if there are many 31sts left to see. So why not start now to make a difference?

* What happens if 10 years from now, the job market gets saturated or your services are no longer required?

It is no secret that the job market is on a high-velocity nose-dive as companies are constantly looking for how to cut costs on labour thus the increase in Machine automation. Take a quick look at how much of the once human-induced labour has been taken over by technology and you may as well see a future apocalypse for paid employment.

So what happens ten years from now when there's little or no job available for your well-deserving qualifications, blame the government as usual?

* What if I told you you're closer to your grave than you think?

I can almost hear you subtly saying to yourself "that's not my portion," really?

Knowing how "religious" we get whenever we come across this subject, it comes as no surprise to me why it is dealt with such laxity.

Yearly, children are being born into absolute squalor where their procreators are neither fit nor capable. It is, to say the least, unfair that these kids are — so to speak — merely products of wild oestrogens and testosterones rather than planned parenthood thereby exposing them to avoidable extremities. And when Nature knocks and the bucket is kicked we leave this helpless children with just themselves to look up to.

So it's time you asked yourself what exactly you are doing for these precious kids (whether they're unborn or already here) and what you intend to leave behind with them when you kiss this world goodbye.

In summary of all these, did you just go to that cross-over service to make that regular new year wishe like you've always done OR are you willing and ready to make this different and INDEED bring those things into reality in 2017?

Have a rethink, go back to that drawing board and do whatever it takes to make this a REAL HAPPY NEW YEAR;

Wish you all the best guys...

Kriss Ray
Actually, this is 80% crap. Absolutely bunkum.

The ONLY good thing here was the last two paragraphs. I mean the summary. All those trash you said earlier were unnecessary.

You that is writing, what have you made of yourself. I hate people who try to trivialize other people's beliefs, especially if it's not wrong, just to make a point.
Politics › Re: Fuel Price To Increase As Landing Cost Soars To N213 Per Litre by ndcide(m): 2:32pm On Jan 04, 2017
Hear the Governor, “Now, we should be enjoying cheap fuel if the price of oil has dropped globally. And even as we import the product, a major component has reduced in price. While this has reduced, the pump price of fuel in the country still remains the same. Something is wrong.
“If the price increases in the country when the price of oil goes up globally, then it should also reduce when the price of oil drops.
“I understand that I am not an economist; they (federal government) are the economist. But I have some logic and common sense to ask critical questions. For instance, if one buys flour at N10 per kilogram, and the bread is sold at N1 per loaf, if the price of flour drops, the price of the bread should also change”, he pointed out.

@op, forget nairaland once it is about marriage issues. The man will be at fault by default.

Even the case where the woman killed the man, many still spin it against the dead man.

Can't you see some of them telling you if you are just knowing? Others even claimed you may not have talked to her. They foolishly think nairaland is the first point of call for any issue.

Many of them attack the poster, forgetting that you just wanted get various objective opinions on the issue.

Most of them see things from their weaknesses and put you in a disadvantaged position from their comments. Some have been consumed with prejudice because of their own experiences.

In all, you have to be careful with nairaland.

On your issue, you need grace and wisdom. Pray to God and he'll lead you.

Realize that if it was by intelligence and mere human reasoning just like the way most replies are stressing, you would have long solved this issue.

I understand you very, and I must say I understand that some persons are naturally very difficult to deal with. Maybe your wife is in such category. You'll have to handle it with care. Many people will wrongly support your wife in this situation.

What I think you should do is, face your children. Let your children be your friend, invest in them. They may be too young, but invest in them set out money for their education, A special savings or something like that. Reduce house hold expenses greatly, no new car or appliances. let every expense be for needs and not wants, there should be no extra wastage or anything for anyone to brag about. This will take so much discipline from you. Your wife will on her own know there's no money for the smallest of frivolities and she will do the needful don't mind if she calls you stingy man, It's all defensive mechanism. You have to do it.

When she eventually changes, you may reward her efforts. Don't be confrontational about it, be strategic. As you implement this, nice ideas will come to your mind.

In all honesty, is that the kind of school you'll send your child(ren) to?
Not everyone will send their children to
British international school or greensping or loyal Jesuit. There are different grades of schools and their products will succeed in life too.

I remember those days igbinedion education center was established in Benin, we told people to relax, as Many will still fall back to Uniben or AAU/EDSU. That was what happened. Funny enough students from Edokpolo keep beating students from those big name schools. Read my earlier posts again and you'll see I pointed out the problem of perception especially for some of us in Lagos. You think children from the lower class are not doing well? Think again.

My guy in GE schooled in a public school before things changed.

I may not be able to convince you, but I know what I'm saying.

I had this feeling the year I hit 32. It was a deep soul searching for me. In my compound I was seen as a big man. My landlady will clap for me. But my fellow tenants had their wife and children yet don't have the whole world.

I think Lagos life plays a role in this thing.
You'll be forming corporate life yet the years are rolling by. Some of your mates at home are married with kids, They buy land for 200k, build their house. While you will be forming hustle and insulting ladies.

The artisans you invite to work for you have their wife and children in school.

It's an evil thing. My dad told me this thing when I was moving to Lagos years back.

Thank God I'm free indeed.
