luminouz: You are not in Nigeria, I see. Everyone seems to lose their moral stands once they are abroad yet they always call their home country 'backward mentality' because they wanna form woke.... Yet you have forgotten that you are also part of the 'typical Nigerian mentality', or did your blood or DNA change because you now live abroad? so you are just abusing yourself and that's low self esteem right there...
So shût dafuq up, fishlips... You keep using the word "woke". I guess you are just a small boy that doesn't understand life. This is part of what people protested for during "end sars". So many lawlessness in the country. I am a full blood Nigeria and will definitely return one day and this kind of news is what we are all afraid of. It goes beyond "woke", it saddens my heart. |

luminouz: So because the dude is young and could be bald by 40, he should rock any hairstyle he likes when the school rules say otherwise? Then you equate the age-old 'spare the rod and spoil the child routine' to frustration on the part of parents? You are one lost soul and your kids are gonna turn out very bad. Y'all always quick to quote the whites when it comes to unrestricted freedom which equates to lax discipline but quick to forget that your own culture has a significant component of moral virtues and values attached. These mentality is very poor. My children , though in Europe bows to greet older people in public. They are well mannered. I really do not understand how their choice of hairstyle will affect their conduct. Most robbers and kidnappers that are paraded on channels TV rock the most decent hairstyle I have ever seen. |

Advancedman: Most of you are stupid after you insult and commit unimaginable abomination against those that instill value and trade into you, When you get to where their labour and investment in you will start feeding and giving you life pleasure and fulfillment you will abide by the rules of those you are giving what the people you didn't respect have given you in exchange for a life time opportunities. Wisdom.
Never dress the way a president, governor or great captain of industries will never dress.
How many fashion designer wear those rags they showcase on runway. They dressed simple and respectfully. You are the stupid one here. The guy is at a particular age in life where he could be adventurous in everything he does including is choice of hairstyle. At 40, this guy could probably be bald and rock a skin cut. In a modern society, people appreciate this and let people live their best lifes as long as it doesn't hurt others. Unfortunately Nigeria is a jungle where parents beat thier children to stupor all in the name of discipline when it is actually out of frustration of hunger and anger and nothing happens. There is no decorum in Nigeria and this is why a lecturer is bringing a scissors to class. Even if the school has its rules and regulations, are there no procedures regarding deterrence? |

ogaontop: You guys should stop being senselessly woke, each school has their code of conduct both in character, dressing and learning which ranges from suspension to expulsion when you default, and I am so sure of UNIZIK because I did I diploma in the school and you sign these things during initial registration. Also, the school have their code of dressing written and pasted on strategic notice boards inside the campus. Why coming to the school when you can't keep to their rules? Why flounting the agreement you signed?? If I am the lecturer I will recommend him for appropriate punishment!! This is how people begin to cultivate the habit of lawlessness at young ages!!! Some 18+ is young age? 18+ in a reasonable society is considered an adult with capacity to make good decisions and judgement. Plenty 19 in America and England that are fathers doing jobs to look after their family. You need to wake up! |

honour7: The lecturer is just being nice, if it were some lecturers they would just ask for the student mat number and the student would continue falling his course till he starts dressing well according to his profession.
Education is not all about passing exams, character is among. This doesn't make any sense. Lack of exposure is the cause of this kinda mentality. If a lecturer fails a brilliant student because of his character in a modern society, the lecturer will definitely loose his job. You only need to call for your papers and make a case to the board of examiners. Nigeria is indeed a jungle! |

But when it comes to subsidy scam, they are untouchable, it is common man that must be punished for fraud committed by our elites and politicians instead of fishing them out and be punished, we have the statement; subsidy gone. Let it be known to the wicked Nigeria politicians that they all laughing at the masses calamity of hunger and suffering now, while they are living extravagant life, Nigerians masses are going to laugh over them at last, for an adage says he who laugh last laugh best, a day of accountability from God is on the way for them. Travel › Currency Depreciation- Nigeria Students Forced Out Of UK For Tuition Default by ndidibabe(op): 12:22pm On May 22, 2024 |
Nigerian students have been thrown off university courses and ordered to leave the UK after a currency crisis left them struggling to pay tuition fees on time. Teesside University students were blocked from their studies and reported to the Home Office after the value of Nigeria's naira plummeted, wiping out their savings. Some told the BBC they felt suicidal as they accused the university of taking a "heartless" approach to those who fell into arrears as a consequence. A university spokesman said failure to pay was a breach of visa sponsorship requirements, and that it had "no choice" but to alert the Home Office. The Home Office said visa sponsorship decisions rested with the institution. Nigeria is currently experiencing its worst economic crisis in a generation, which is having a significant impact on Nigerian students at some UK universities. Average inflation is almost 34%, and the situation deteriorated when the country's president attempted to replace old currency with new. The currency subsequently depreciated by over 100% against the dollar in a year. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c888926qx58o |
