That's Nigeria for everyone, a country where people fake it and present it to zombies and they accept it without questioning.
Some people attended a primary school before the said school came to existence, we never question it.
They never attended a secondary school yet the certificate was stolen by an army officer, and Nigerians never question it.
Same individual attended a Chicago State University with female gender identity and the judiciary rules it over without questioning and Nigerians accepted the judgement without questioning either
Even a top national personality have a dual citizenship, once caught in drugs cases in America and forfeited his asset to the US government according to the United States criminal law, came back to Nigeria and rule over zombies and no one question it.
Biko this is Nigeria where anybody can be anything. Free the man let him go in peace In your small mind, Tinubu is uneducated. |

mistacoco2: Hello guys,
For some days now I have been on a serious dilemma whether to resign from my federal government job that pays me above N200k for my current position and migrate to the UK or stay in naija and set up a business to augment my salary. I will be 34 years next year, I feel traveling to the uk for studies next year September will delay my chances of getting married, as I have planned not exceeding 34 years without getting married.
I belong to the school of thought that believes can make it in Nigeria despite all odds. However, considering the economic realities of the country, I have recently contemplating of japa and maybe get a Nigerian lady for marriage after my studies.
Please I earnestly need matured advice from you guys to know how to start the coming year. With the new immigration law in UK, don't consider travelling there. Many people in the UK will be returning home from next year. |

So there's nothing wrong with commemorating a day in which both heaven and earth rejoiced. Don't let JW confuse you with their confusion Una go just dey package wetin no dey. Christmas is a worldly celebration without any scriptural background. I don't have a problem with all the merriment but it is a sin to attribute it to Christ. |

MT: Not always. UK universities have moved down the slope. It's all about money now.
Just check the curriculum, you will understand what I am saying.
And moreso, how will you be focused when you are hustling for money to pay bills and tuition ?.
It's crazy out there. It has always been about the money for UK universities. Once you have the qualification and can pay, you are rest assured of your admission. However, do not get it wrong, the standard is quite high in terms of teaching and infrastructure. It is not the Uni's fault that students are hustling rather than being focused. |

MT: Most of these Schools abroad are scams. They do not teach the students to be ready for the industry.
I was checking the curriculum for one school in the UK and was shocked that they were still teaching a technology already retired by Microsoft.
As odd as it may sound, why don't you pay for all these online courses, study hard, within few months, you would have upskilled in specific area, more than you would achieve in these universities. Even save lot of money in the process.
Ask most of the students that graduated in the UK uni this Sept, most cannot compete globally as they only wasted millions of naira to enter into the complex, expensive route leading to citizenship, and NOT learning or gaining anything in the process. They outsourced their assignments to other people in Nigeria, and this explains why most are doing care jobs despite graduating as so-called techies.
They can never be employed in tech. They are so much aware of that.
After upskilling, post your CV online, especially linkedln and start having interviews. You will enter into these countries tech market as a talent, rather than a long, endless, expensive chase for a citizenship. If they paid attention, learn and not outsource their assignments, they will definitely be employable. UK has one of the best educational system in the world. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Everton Deducted 10 Points By Premier League- Skysports News by ndidibabe(op): 1:59pm On Nov 17, 2023 |
BREAKING Everton handed heaviest points punishment in Premier League history; Club "shocked and disappointed" by ruling.
The true cost of relegation is not yet known Everton have been deducted 10 points by the Premier League for a breach of profit and sustainability rules.
Everton say they are "shocked and disappointed" by the ruling and have vowed to appeal.
"Both the harshness and severity of the sanction imposed are neither a fair nor a reasonable reflection of the evidence submitted," said the club.
The deduction, which was meted out by an Independent Commission and will be imposed with immediate effect, is the largest in the history of the Premier League and plunges Sean Dyche's team into the relegation zone.
According to the Premier League, Everton admitted during a five-day hearing it was in breach of the league's Profitability and Sustainability Rules with the Commission "determining Everton FC's PSR Calculation for the relevant period resulted in a loss of £124.5m, as contended by the Premier League, which exceeded the threshold of £105m permitted under the PSRs."
After narrowly avoiding relegation to the Championship last season, Everton were, prior to their points loss, 14th in the league table, eight points above the bottom |
Education › Re: Japa: UK Varsities Hit With Low Revenues As Nigerians Turn To Canada by ndidibabe(f): 12:01am On Nov 17, 2023 |
tshtsh: Don’t compare U.K. universities with universities in Nigeria. When you leave Nigeria to U.K. or elsewhere your competition is in U.K. not Nigeria. Most Nigerians attend mushroom schools in uk. In Scotland there are many universities but the ancient 4 are the most recognised by employers ( St Andrews uni , uni of Aberdeen , uni of Edinburgh , uni of Glasgow ). You’ll find most Nigerians in Glasgow Caledonian uni , uni of west of Scotland , Robert Gordon and the likes which employers don’t really value as much as the ancient universities. If you come to canada you’ll find thus cana da has very competitive universities but most Nigerians are attending colleges ( Humber college , Seneca …). A Nigerian with a bachelors or masters degree goes to Canada to study at a college just to get student visa . Where I work there is no college graduate in the engineering team. Most are from uni of Waterloo, uni of Toronto , queens uni and a few from McMaster uni.
When you leave Nigeria your income , skills and education should be applied to your new location and not comparing with your previous location. Many leave Nigeria from upper model class ans settle at the bottom in Canada but still beat there chest saying they are better off than person A or B in Nigeria I do not really understand your argument. A lot of Nigerians are working in the UK with a Unilag degree which is far rated below Robert Gordon Uni which you have just referred to as a mushroom uni. Infact, I know a FUTA graduate working in your almighty St Andrew Uni as a Network Engineer. What competition are you referring to specifically? Schools will always be rated above one another and while you attend a first class uni, that might give you an edge to be shortlisted for an interview, it doesn't give you the job. Not even in those countries you have mentioned where they place more value on your skill than your certificate. |
