Guys, there's this v-boot we parked for years, but I started using the vehicle of late and I noticed that the water in the auxiliary plastic radiator never reduces. this vehicle has covered over 5000km within the last 3-4 months of its usage, and the water hasn't been topped. I always check round the radiator spot for leakages but couldn't find any. Is there any cause for alarm? Considering the fact that the water in the radiator of a camry 2007 keeps been replaced whenever it is used.

I eventually replaced the engine. I instructed that all other peripherals like Alternator, Fuel Injector, Spark Plugs, AC Condenser etc be left in-situ in my car. So the engine was coupled in, It took a whole day to get the job done. But it was eventually done. When we started the car it started well at the first attempt. It has not given any issues since then. And the acceleration has been perfect. My only uncertainty is that I don't know how many miles have gone on the new engine. I tried looking for the engine 'casting/block' number but didn't see it. It's just the serial number that was clearly visible.

But since the engine is working well, I will just ensure timely oil change to keep the engine in a premium working condition. I'm still looking at where I can get Mobil 1 5w-20 here in Lagos, but if I don't get I guess I'll stick with semi-synthetics with 30% synthetic blend for now.

I happy to announce to the whole house that the deal is signed, sealed and delivered.

The engine fixing was concluded and it was a one start, the only initial itch was the oil sign showing on the dash board, we had the oil filter loosed and signs of dirt’s was obvious in it even though it was a new one, we had to get the sump out and there we are, the oil lifter was virtually blocked with dirt’s perhaps as a result of the engine been on ground for sometime.

We got it washed, filled back the oil and insert the filter and there was no issue on the engine for now having driven the car for sometime to do some initial run around hoping to take the car for a spiritual clincing at a car wash tomorrow. I think i noticed a different level of power behind the whell with the new engine,though i need sometime to really confirm that.

It’s been a tedious week and I bet you I ve learnt a lot past few days, it’s interesting, time consuming and memorable too but over all it’s worth the experience.

I will feed back on the initial guarantee period as time flies by.

I am very grateful to all those who read, meditate, contribute, hoping that lots of people will learn from this and help save the economy some expenses, time and inconveniencies associated with an engine change.

I wonder what would have happened if I had no time to monitor my mechanic at interval.

Think I am ready to explore Nigeria with my car now.

There is dis meral grinding sound i hear from my engine compartment, everytime i hear the sound and i report to my mechanic he recommends i should change engine metal, i have changed engine metal twice now and i discover that about 3-4 months after change the sound returns. This time around i contacted a friend who is more experienced and he was very furious, he said my oil pump was the culprit, he said my mechanic should have known that for engine metal to get grinded like that it is because the oil pump wasnt pumping efficiently. What are you thoughts concerning this? I really want to be sure of what the problem is.

Gurus in the house i need your inputs.

The fact that we are yet to have xhaka and toreira in this team is a kinda frightening to see the selection headache for unai . Its still pre-season but already there is a sense of aggressiveness building up and the coach trying to enforce his personality on the team. Great to see Arsenal pressing teams aggressively again.

Belerin for me still needs to work hard on a lot of things apart from pace which he has. A top four in unais first season would be an achievement in my own opinion.
