Every assistant can fly a plane , me personally I prefer the snr pilot and a male , just that we don't have the right to pick pilots

The snr pilot you prefer might have low flyinghours compare to the junior pilot.

On the right seat , ok

If na left I go fear

What happen on she being on the right seat? She is qualified to fly without the captain but things most follow due procedure, if the captain is incapacitated while in mid flight she will 100% fly and land the plane, in Airline industry, seniority matters.

You could be flying from the Left seat in another company but once you change company, you experience does not matter to the new company as you will start from the right, the airline companies take seniority by years you have been with them and not your previous company.

The difference between rich people and broke people is that the rich always buy things to add value to them and spare the change to keep their wealth increasing, but the broke try to impress by paying for things that they don't necessary need, but try to prove that they are so updated without being prudent of their pulse tomorrow like the rich do.

Some of you can be very annoying for real.
If you want to get enlighten them good.
But here is my point, the said Aircraft was bought for insurgent war like someone said, which is not a problem, but argument here is that if it was for conventional warfare with Mig-29 or F-16, it stands no chance.

Because those have powerful radars compared to Tuc.And can Dec text and struck from a great distance.

You are obviously not intelligent enough to express yourself with valid counterviews, just yapping your mouth for the sake of talking without any reference or your own sane and valid views is a sign of ignorance and lack of intelligence.

Mr man, I have read majority of your posts on nairaland and have seen engaging you is a wast of time. I don't do partisan politics, I say it as it is be it right or wrong, You saying the aircraft is a mean one shows already that you don't know anything about modern warplanes, I can give you histories of all warplanes starting from world war one, but then you have to stop this your partisan politicking.

You sure took your time to find this highly misleading list, let's break it down;

- First this list is for total military strength, the topic at hand is about Air strength.

- Even at that the way it is measured is highly misleading, population, road coverage, oil production all factor into the ranking and Ethiopia has no oil, a smaller population and is a mountainous area.

- It makes no mention of tactics at all.

Now let's get to the main point.

- It measures number of aircraft as superior but makes no mention of the types of aircraft available.

- Nigeria has more helicopters and trainer aircraft with trainers making 1/3 of the "military strength".

- The 13 dedicated attack aircraft are the Super Tucano planes that we have bought but are yet to use.

- Ethiopia has less aircraft overall but more fighters which are designed specifically to destroy other aircraft. If we were to have an air superiority battle with Ethiopia Nigeria would lose because most of the air power is focused on fighting ground targets.

- If we are even to take this list seriously Angola would destroy Nigeria in the air.

Thanks there is someone that is enlightened too. Nigeria keep buying tainee aircraft and equip it with or configure it for fighter. Ethiopian Airforce Migs will destroy ours even before we know they are there.

I don't want to bring up Egypt, those one will smoke us for breakfast as they operate f-16.

This is the most sophisticated fighter jet in the world, the F-35B Lightning II aircraft armed with the Paveway II.

Our Tucano are coming with 200 Paveway II laser guided bombs.

The super Tucano is a mean beast, there's almost nothing the latest jet fighters deploys that the Tucano can not.

You know nothing about jet fighters with what you just wrote above.

Well it was bought specifically for the war on boko haram, not for conventional war

( Every country must have the ability to fight unconventional war).

Good, but the price is too high, they should buy drones instead that would have served us better with more endurance while they operate it at a safer distance and very cheap. Imagine have drones that could loiter for 2 days in the skill both day and night while waiting for those elements to get out of their holes and strike.

For the record the Tucano turboprop is effective for the job we want it to do. That's why we are buying it.

Jets might be handy if boko haram too had jets. They don't.

Read the posts on this thread by naptu2. You will understand why Nigeria is buying these planes.

If it's for tackling insurgents, that is no problem, but for conventional war, with well equipped country, then it's just another toy and the price what do you have to say about it?

Other African countries are seriously upgrading military arsenal, na this world war 1 stupid ancient refurbished jet we dey buy. How the might has fallen
This is not jet but turboprop Aircraft. It can't stand a chance with any jet fighter aircraft be it Russian Mig of 60s era, which even Nigeria Airforce uses, because they will actually outrun and out manoeuvre this. I'm still wondering how they bought this at such a high price.

We need something like f-16 if only U.S. will see it to us or we go for Russian Mig of the 80s which Ethiopian Airforce currently uses, Nigeria Airforce don't stand a chance with Ethiopia Airforce in Air to Air combat, just a pity.

@op.....diaris something I wanna suggest to you, which is how you see betting from ur angle... honestly, I was in ur shoes years back (same way I got introduced by a friend). Mine was nice.....I devised a strategy that made me win on a daily....until it got to a time I started misbehaving since I've made lotta money (which made me lose so much to d extend I was broke)....sins av gotten addicted to it, I couldn't quit.... instead I was searching d internet to look for a strategy that'll favour me.....I now saw a suggestion made by a white guy.....d guy said d best way to win in sportbet is to see it as a business (i.e when you wanna place a bet, u do it as if it's your business).....if u had a business worth 1million naira, will u be looking for a way to make a profit of 10million naira on a daily?.....so I thought about it found a way that favours me.....
so what I'm tryna say is that you see bet as a business....if u wanna go into a business, first you make your research, secondly you look for a way it will favor u.... that's how bet is.....infact if you understand FOREX Trading, you will erstand sportbet to a reasonable extend...
I rest my case.

There is nothing good about betting, you will always end up being broke. Invest your money on real business.

What a none sense, and why do they refer to Turbo-prop training aircraft converted to or modified to be a fighter plane as a jet fighter? All these dumb Senators self.
If the runway can not carry it, they should relocate it to Lagos pending when they built the said runway since that plane has turned to heavy duty heavier than 747 planes.

I’m Igbo and I agree with you to an extent.
Simply because I know not everyone or every part is like this. But Anambra tribalism is on steroids.
They don’t even want to marry other igbo people.

Had a friend divorced in his 40s after having teenage kids and the main issue is that he never listened to his mother on whom to marry. The sister of this person too ended up divorced. All due to family interference.

Other igbos call them “Ndi mmanyi si “ meaning “our mother said”. Once their moms said something (especially regarding your choice of spouse), it’s final.

Who wants that kind of daily frustration?

Ah, you get mouth o, Abeg no dey insult Anambra people Na, which one is "tribalism on steroid again"?.

Abeg do you have web site where you post how you make you foods, that is my concern and reason i dey follow you, oyigbo food no go kill me.
