A reckless driver has killed four students of the Ugwube Primary School, Oba, Anambra State, after losing control of his Jeep while using his phone.

The tragic incident happened, yesterday, at the Old road, when the children – two of them from the same parents – were heading home.

The man, said to be driving a Pathfinder Jeep, was making/receiving a call, when he lost control and veered off his lane into the other lane before ramming into the kids, killing 3 instantly, while the 4th one died at the hospital.

The two women who are of Yoruba and Hausa tribe were seen arguing over who owns the bag of the empty bottled water in the process the Hausa woman said she will slap and beat the Yoruba woman.

Here is the moment a ploitician was seen fighting a TV presenter for questioning him too nuch about his political party.

The man could not contend with the question anymore because the TV presenter was just asking him question upon question.

The politician stood up to pick a fight when the lady ask him "Do you care about the starving million of African people in this country, Do you care about the farm workers who are being oppressed here in this country.

The Former Arsenal and Manchester United player Robin Van Persie who set to retired from football. Van Persie who has had a very good successful career in football played his last match with Feyenoord on Sunday.

Van Persie was given guard of Honor as match was stopped for him to walk down as he was being substituted.

Taking twitter to share his appreciations, He wrote: "On Sunday I played my last professional game. Looking back on a 17 year career I can only say it has been a wonderful journey. Senate Threatens To Shutdown Bet9ja 'For Non-Remittance Of Dues' To Nigerian Government.

The Senate Committee on Youth and Sports on Tuesday threatened to order the shutdown of Bet9ja office if the company failed to honour its invitation for a second time.

Speaking on the floor of the house during the verification of loto companies with license to operate in Nigeria, Sen. Obinna Ogba (PDP, Ebonyi), Chairman of the Committee, said it was unfortunate that Bet9ja refused to honour the committee’s invitation.

He instructed the clerk of the house to write the popular betting site again, threatening that failure to honour the House's invitation for the third time will earn the betting site permanent closure.

“Clerk, write to Bet9ja again. If they did not honour our invitation, we will ask the National Lottery Commission to seal their offices,” he said.

According to him, the Senate is making efforts aimed at assisting the Lottery Commission to generate money for the Federal Government.

”We want to see bet9ja. They can’t run away,” he said.

The chairman explained that the verification followed series of complaints against the betting companies, adding that ”some don’t even have offices while others have not been making remittances to the government.”
”Some got the licences but they are not operating. The new regulation only give them one year to start operations,” he noted.

Meanwhile, about 20 other betting companies appeared before the committee for the verification exercise.
