Dear Admins, I reported a post which violated rule 8, "Don't post false information on Nairaland." The deceptive post was hidden, or so I thought. A day later, I viewed the same thread without logging in and to my surprise the post which was hidden from me when I logged on was visible. My question is why do you keep a deceptive post which was reported on your site while giving the person who reported it the impression that you removed the post. I hope you can explain the rationale for the way you handled this situation. Until now, I believed you genuinely want to maintain accurate information on this site and actually removed offending and proven false data from view. I didn't think you hide such reported posts from the person who reported them but left them visible to continue to deceive the remaining forumites. I hope it's a software bug rather than a policy. MrAnalyst:Interesting. Given your definition, one has to agree with Afam4eva who stated that Biafra is a movement of people who are mostly Igbos but not supported by majority of Igbo people and as such should not be classified as an Igbo movement. |

francizy:Please find the meaning of bigot below: Bigot (Noun) 1.a person who is intolerant toward those holding different opinions dolo |
francizy:I'm sorry to say that you sound like a bigot. I wonder what you mean by "you lot" in your post above. You assume that everyone has a one-track mind like you do and make yourself appear silly in the process. Here are some threads I opened during GEJ's reign, read them and apologize to me. dolo President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan Deserves Credit In Some Major Fronts GEJ and Almajiri Schools Derivation On Solid Minerals |
PassingShot:Indeed. This could have been fun but the OP's pompousity destroyed the thread. If his IQ were as high as he claimed, the result of his method would have been obvious to him, unless he had an ulterior motive in the first place. |
AlfaSeltzer:Happy New Year nwanne m. Please ignore the narrow minded goat spewing rubbish here. Let the thread die a natural death, do not feed him his drug by responding to his useless crap. |
Some threads can tempt one to put a hole in some people's heads in order to put them out of their miseries. Just one click would do it - shame it is not yet posible to do so through the web. |
og2711:This must be the joke of the year! ![]() Under the law, a person can be arrested with or without a warrant of arrest. There are specific procedures laid out in our Criminal Procedures Acts for this. Please stop being lazy and do a bit of reading before coming here to spew rubbish. |

Afam4eva:You are correct. I should have said "primarily from the Southwest" Afam4eva: The reason why it's different with Igbos is that You benefit more from the Nigerian state of you're not Igbo and that's why some Igbo I'd groups will go to any length, even insult Igbos to prove their none Igboness. And they have reasons on why they're not Igbo. They will tell you that they're not in the South East but South South. They will also tell you that their dialect is different from that of Igbos as if Igbos have only one dialect. If all these does not work, they will tell you that their people migrated from Benin. Like I said, it depends on which part of the divide the person you're asking belongs to. All over the world ethnicity is determined by similarity in language and culture.Wow!! I find it most difficult to believe the bolded above, but you may be correct. |
Afam4eva:I don't think we have any such controversy to speak of among Hausas or Yorubas. As an example, Yorubas in Nigeria typically have states of origin located somewhere in the Southwest. They all speak and understand Yoruba while some speak different dialects in addition to Yoruba. An Ijebu person or Lagos person will agree without any controversy that he/she is Yoruba. The same applies to the Hausas. Why is this different with "Igbos"? |
I ask without prejudice, what makes a person an Igbo? Would somoeone knowledgeable enough be kind enough to shed some light on this question. There seems to be a controversy on this issue; a controversy which should not be ignored. |
Just Imagine!! This is one of the Colonels who recommended the death penalty for the protesting soldiers charged with mutiny. They stole the money earmarked for weapons and sent the soldiers on suicide missions only to turn around and recommend that the soldiers who complained should be shot! These goons are the real Boko Haram sponsors! May this Colonel rot in the guard room! ![]() |

krendo:This is exactly what the current administration is working on. Couple that with a significant reduction in corruption and it becomes easy to believe that we are headed towards greatness, once again. |
GEJ and his administration recorded some successes without a doubt but there is nothing outstanding there - they were simply doing their jobs and serving the masses as they were supposed to. I recall great progress in the Agric sector as well. Kudos to the said administration for these successes. Having said that, the same administration does not deserve forgiveness for presiding over the greatest looting spree in the history of this great country. May Allahu punish every single one of those involved in the monumental looting. May they rot in prison, Ameen. |

Any Senator with latent but lofty ambitions is well advised to raise all hell regarding this matter. He/She should use social media, TV, newspapers to oppose this nonsensical N4.7billion car purchase. Such a senator will endear him/herslf to the Nigerian people. This is also where NLC should lead the masses in protest. Unfortunately, the NLC is currently busy trying to protect the subsidy cabal while refusing to acknowledge that the economic realities on ground is not the same as what obtained 2/3 years ago or even last year. |

ademusiwa1e:You be correct guy. Kanu has been given a very long rope to pull. As depicted in your graphic, he was in Aba back in May 29th exercising his right to march in honouring biafra heroes and heroines. He became careless because he was not arrested even though there was already enough evidence to do so. That carelessness got him to where he is today. What a foolish man! |

Sincere9gerian:You should be ashamed of yourself for this nonsensical post. We are talking about thieves who looted billions and you are here talking about #50 collected by some corrupt policemen. Dasuki and his accomplices are not only Buhari's enemies but enemies of Nigerians. We are 100% behind Buhari in his fight against you people. |
MXrep:Why should he explain what has been reported in all newspapers but you all chose not to read like educated folks, but instead allow your prejudices becloud your better judgements? Every single one of those acccused was released as ordered by the courts without exception. None of you folks have the right, and should not have the audacity, to tell the authorities when to arrest anybody. Recall that the NIMASA DG was released on bail but was rearrested outside court premises in public view, during which he commited a new crime of resisting arrest. People like you will come to nairaland in a couple of months and accuse the authorities of not releasing the DG as ordered by the courts. nansense ![]() |
Analysiscorner:Are you saying that because they were granted Bail the authorities should give up the right to arrest them for other crimes they perpetrated? Who cares if the arrest came 1 hour or 2 after they were released but didn't get a chance to abscond? |
Analysiscorner:Name a single one of the accused persons who was not released as ordered by any court. The answer is zero. How dare you, sir, and the Washington Post to tell our authorities when to file charges and when to arrest anyone? These people are multiple criminals and will be rearrested for each crime they've commited at the pleasure of our authorities. Criminals don't get to choose when the authorities can arrest them. abi you people daft ni? |
winniz:You people are misinformed. Kanu was released as ordered but was rearrested because of a different crime. Sources tell me that he committed 10 - 15 additional crimes for which he is yet to be charged. |
jmaine:lol. e be like say dis man like soup. |
The Washington Post should not be taken seriously. This is an organization which consistently fails at Fact-Checking but pays more attention to sensationalism so that they can sell more newspapers produced by their dying media empire. nansense hypocrites |
