The impact of removing Wike would have been almost unbearable as the entire region would have been set on fire. No doubt, there was a deal between the powers that be to prevent setting the region on fire. We don't need that at this point. Wike is now poised to crush the IPOB goons in Rivers state. I expect to see a photograph of Wike hugging Amaechi in the next 2 weeks. ![]() |
Dotng:Practical solution! All the herdsmen want to do is use the grazing areas they've been using for hundreds of years. They are denied access to these areas by insensitive folks who fail to see that urban sprawling is a threat to the lives and livelihoods of the herdsnen. |

Did Yerima commit a second crime of destroying evidence while in custody? Metuh brought this harsh bail condition upon himself. The man is fooloish. |
Let me first state that, it is not exactly clear what the specifics of Methu's bail is. Thanks to junk journalism. Below are the terms and onditions upon which bail can be granted in Nigeria (1) Bail on self-recognizance: In this case, the accused or suspect is not required to enter a bond or provide sureties but only on the condition that he will ordinarily appear in court or the police station on a specified date to answer to the allegation made against him. However, in practice bail is rarely granted on this term except the alleged offender is a reputable and a responsible member of the society and the alleged offence is a minor one. (2) Bail on a bond for a fixed amount: A bail bond is a written undertaken executed by the accused person that he will appear when needed but with a fixed amount of money. Where he fails to appear to the court or police station when his attendance is needed, he is liable to pay the amount of money stated in the bond. (3) Bail on bond with surety(s): It is a three-party undertaking which involves the State, the accused, and a surety. The state releases the accused person on bail on the guarantee given by the surety that the accused person will attend his trial. (4) Deposit of money instead of a bond. In addition, the courts often demand for additional security that the accused will attend his trial. Consequently, a court may demand that the surety must be resident within the jurisdiction, own landed property, or swear to an affidavit of means, or that the accused person shall deposit his international passport with the court. The sensational journalists have painted the picture that Methu's bail is in the form of cash deposit (option 4 above), but it is not clear that this is indeed the case. One would have to read the speciic bail conditions to be sure. My own guess is that Methu's bail includes option 3. As to whether option 2 or 4 is included, I'll have to read the full text of the judge's ruling on the bail. |
Frankly the mechanic and the owner of the Lexus should be charged with murder. |
viviangist2:Good observation. Another observation is that, when an accused has once before eaten evidence like a goat, you have to keep his hands in cuffs, lest he puts those around him in harm's way. |
This is the result another failure of the last administration which refused to enforce safety laws while looking the other was as DGs pocket implementation funds. Having said that, we should note that oil and water are immiscible so there is no chance of contamination here. That man is very likely more hygienic than many of the bigoted loudmouths here. |
My people will go to ridiculous lengths to justify or attempt to cover up what is otherwise glaringly clear to sane observers. Usually these excuses are provided when the criminal comes from their tribe, or region. If Tompolo is not directly responsible for these attacks, then he most certainly knows the people responsible for it. Nigerians remind me of the ostrich and Rakumin dajij below. According to friends of the former CSO who shared his photo on Facebook, Mr Obua has continued to suffer both physically and mentally and has been in great pain since the day he returned home on July 21st after being detained by the DSS. They say his abdomen is swollen and he has great difficulty moving around. P.S. As of this writing, him stomach never burst o. ![]() |

@OP, The problem with the hardened hymen of your uncle's wife can be resolved surgically using a procedure known as hymenotomy. A hymenotomy is a medical procedure involving the surgical removal or opening of the hymen. It is often performed on patients with an imperforate or septate hymen, or other situations where the hymen is unusually thick or rigid such as Microperforte Hymen. I'd recommend that your family should try to send her abroad for this procedure. An old nairalander friend of mine with the handle naijaking1 is an expert doctor who can hook you up with the right doctor in the US, if he doesn't wanna do the procedure himself. |
Oil plummeted below $30 a barrel on Tuesday for the first time since December 2003. The latest wave of selling leaves crude oil down 19% this year alone. It represents an incredible 72% plunge from crude oil's June 2014 peak of almost $108.As soon as the war between Saudi Arabia and Iran starts, prices should go back up. ![]() |

RightBoo:The point made was, Ikemba the great, is probably turning in his grave in disappointment that current crop of Igbo/APGA leaders are unable to build that party into a real opposition party, particularly now that PDP is dead (dying). Imagine these shameless leaders trying to defect to APC. Hope its now clear. |
RightBoo:No one is disputing who founded APGA. I hope you got the point I was trying to make. |
I wonder whether Falana benefited from the dasuki gate billions through some of his clients. |

The Hijab has been given a bad name by terrorists who try to use victims dressed in the attire to hide suicide bombs. This has prompted my dear President, Buhari, to threaten to ban them. Well Mr. President sir, if you must ban, please exclude these kinds from the ban list or you too will fall my hand. ![]() www.nairaland.com/attachments/3280601_1_jpeg83b5009e040969ee7b60362ad7426573 www.nairaland.com/attachments/3280602_2_jpegea571676ce9b75b0730a5d56350ae93e www.nairaland.com/attachments/3280603_3_jpeg182845aceb39c9e413e28fd549058cf8 www.nairaland.com/attachments/3280604_4_jpeg9679ccb5a92f650b83fcf29e0a6a6775 cc |
I have very bad news for the ethnic bigots, the suferers of superiority complex, the racists, and narow minded folks on this thread. The following provision will become part of the Amended 1999 constitution in a matter of months: a citizen of Nigeria is an indigene of a particular community of a state in Nigeria if he was born in that state One day, the governor of Lagos will say yammiri/yim miri (give me water) when he requests for iced water out of Alausa. ![]() Now, since the amendment to the constitution has not yet been ratified by the number of states required (Thanks to GEJ), how does this administration plan to "initiate policies to ensure that Nigerians are free to live and work in any part of the country by removing state of origin, tribe, ethnic and religious affiliations and replace those with state of residence." ? Osinbajo and Buhari will fall my hand if they try to circumvent our constitution blatantly. |
One of the most disappointing thing about our leaders from the SE is that the great Ikemba left them with APGA, yet they are unable to build that party into a real opposition party, particularly now that PDP is dead (dying). Imagine these shameless leaders trying to defect to APC. I bet Ojukwu is rolling in his grave now. ![]() |
OrlandoOwoh:I think David Abioye is more of a man of God than a businessman with global exposure. |
Some of these photographers need to learn how to snap photographs from the correct angles. Look at how they exergerated the sizes of the heas of these people because of bad camera angle. smh |
It is disappointing that Seun, Mynd44, lalasticlala, and some of his Mods, project the image that the site's Rule 8 is really a joke. While this may not be the true picture, it is fast becoming the perception; and you know what they say - perception is reality. I, as a log time member of this forum, opened a thread to call this potential problem to the attention of the Admins, but there was not a single reply from the authorities. (See the thread here )The Admin's should really address this issue. |
FFK & Okupe, you people should please start perfecting your stories. we know say una too collect blood money for campaign. barayi banza |
OP: The rice farm allegedly burnt by Fulani herdsmen in Ugbene community, Awka NorthOnce again, the usual suspects are blaming herdsmen for a crime which could have been committed as a result of rivalry between the locals. Nobody saw herdsmen setting any place on fire nor arrested a single herdsman. This foolishness should stopp. |
When you own a multimillion naira farm, common sense should tell you to invest in securing your assets. |
