Right to personal liberty.
Oga, you right to personal liberty does not mean that you are at liberty to slap me unprovoked. You are not at liberty to commit treasonable offenses because of this so-called right to personal liberty of yours either.

Preach that sermon to the birds. cool

Again, Gowon introduced the unitary government in Nigeria by abrogating the regional system of government with quasi-independence and replaced it with state format without quasi-independence. Gowon had no such power to mess with eastern region which did not recognize his usurpation of power hence the civil war.
If you accept Ojukwu as the Chief Executive of the eastern region, then you must also accept Gowon as the supreme head of Nigeria at the time.

You can't eat your cake and have it.

Per the bolded, are you this slow to bring issue of dumbass Adaka boro's madness into the quagmire between eastern region and illegal government of Nigeria led by Gowon? Do you for once ask yourself what was the essence of peace conference at Aburi, Ghana? It appears most Nigerians have penchant for illogicality. What have the goofy characters such Isaac Boro, Sam Owonaro and Nottingham Dick got to do with the status of eastern region led by Emeka Ojukwu?
Stop pretending to be a dummy. The point is that your biafra does not include the Niger Delta Replublic declared by Isaac Boro and others. Leave these people alone and fight for your cause by yourself.

DerideGull:
Per the bolded, Gowon was not recognized as anything in eastern region therefore has no slightest of authority to divide eastern region. Why would Gowon and Nigeria had to fight a war to step into the so-called states created by him? Only in your goofy world that you share what does not belong to your father.
The eastern region was part of Nigeria at that time and even Ojukwu had to comply with the decree or face court martial. Ojukwu or anyone from the Eastern region never raised any objection to the formation of Rivers state. It is only in your delluded world that the civil war was fought because of the creation of Rivers state.

Stop this crap about Niger Delta being part of biafra while you are ahead. As I stated earlier when Isaac Boro, Sam Owonaro and Nottingham Dick alongside their supporters proclaimed a "Delta Peoples Republic", they did so without including the Easterners. Do your biafra thing without the people of Niger Delta, you do not need them. ko kwa?
Politics › Re: Glaring Difference Between Igbo And Biafra by nduchucks:
DerideGull:
Per the bolded, the above is a trash as it comes. Gowon does not have the right to divide Nigeria without the consent of eastern region talk less abrogating eastern region of Nigeria. If he had such powers, there should not have been a civil war. Again, you are wastefully educated.
Oga, TonyeBarcanista is very correct in saying that when Ojukwu declared is Biafra, he was Governor of Eastern state that excluded Rivers, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom and Cross river. Old Rivers and Old Cross river were already created by Gowon.

In February 1966, when Isaac Boro, Sam Owonaro and Nottingham Dick alongside their supporters proclaimed a "Delta Peoples Republic", biafra was not included in the said republic. On 27 May 1967, under the administration of General Yakubu Gowon, decree No. 14 was issued, allowing the creation of Rivers State. Ojukwu's Eastern region at the time of "secession" did not include Ijawland or modern day SS area.

The good people of Niger Delta fought alongside gallant Nigerian soldiers to defeat the secessionists. My Gull, there is no need to try to revise history, though we have come to expect that from you.

If you and the likes of Kanu want to lead Igbo youths on another suicide mission, be rest assured that the people of the Niger Delta will fight you once again.

Kokori has spoken the truth.

However, I disagree with Kokori's call for the release of Kanu for the sake of peace. What nonsense! No one in this great country should be above the law, more especially an alleged treasonous criminal. If Kanu was brave enough to get in trouble with the law, he should be man enough to face the consequences.

How about we release all the arrested boko haram terrorists for the sake of peace. mtcheeew.

How will u invest in real business when there is no clear economic policy. You go into importing of an item the next morning govt bans it.

You wake up and you can use your card to make payment abroad.

You can't place your finger on the price of the dollar.

You don't even know what the price of the item your selling will be when you want to purchase again. You don't know if your making profit or loss.

You don't even know if Naira will be devalued.
This is the unfortunate state of affairs in Nigeria at this moment. It is difficult to divorce our current predicament from the massive looting which took place during the last administration. The damage done will take a few years to rectify.

Having said that, it is very clear that this is not a season for Import business in Nigeria. Wise businessmen are diversifying and focusing on exports because the naira has become very cheap, rendering exports very cheap to buyers overseas. The government also plans to encourage investments in manufacturing and producing local products for exports in addition to boosting economic activities within the country by providing stimulus funds as contained in the current budget.

The bitter truth is that, it will get a bit worse before it gets better, but many of us are optimistic about the outlook.

Why are they killing their own?
Will it change their Muslim identity or their Islamic root?

As much as I condemn all attacks on any gathering of people, bombing a few mosques does not change the fact that terrorism is the moslem jihad against civilisation & humanity.
You seem to remain in a bigoted denial in the face of the glaring truth that these animals are simply criminal terrorists rather than Christian, Jewish, or Moslem terrorists. How can you continue to believe that they are carrying out jihad when the vast majority of their victims are Moslems? You should educate yourself to become free of this unhealthy bigotry.

Oga, all governments engage in extreme measures to deal with criminals on a regular basis. These government actions do not decriminalize the crimes perpetrated by the accused.

I support my government's use of millitary force as needed, to ensure the safety of the vast majoirity of law abiding citizens.

Trust me, Zakzaky and his organization have been terrorizing the citizens of Zaria for many many years with impunity and lawlessness.

Look pal, Ojukwu's period has been blown over like a harmattan wind. Most of the kids agitating for Biafra as an independent homeland have mothers born or not born during civil war. This is a new world order and Nigeria does not have basis for unity according Gowon in 1966. If Gowon knew there was no basis for unity in 1966, it is very sorry that more than 40 years later, Nnamdi Kanu, IPOB and MASSOB arrived as the conclusion as Gowon in 1966.
Again, those agitating for biafra today are in the minute minority. They are primarily ill-advised youths whose minds have been corrupted by people like Dede1, who used to come here for youth pollution activities. IPOB youthful members are victims who are being used, much like the Boko Haram foot soldiers, because of the hopelessness the youths face due to unemployment.

The good news is that this government has already planned massive economic stimulus packages included in the 2016 budget which would jumpstart the economy which was wrecked by GEJ and his thieving thieves.

Duru1:
Bros where do you reside? The dude, Nnamdi Kanu, has been granted bail by the court yet the government refused to obey the courts ruling. You talked about right of the authority to bring charges before the court, what about the right of defendant before the same court? It is a pity most Nigerians are blinded to idiocy and one wonders if there is any way forward.
Oga, he has not been granted bail on the current charge. The man appears to be a serial criminal.

Was the initial charges against him not dismissed? Why did the Nigerian silly government not grant him freedom as adjudged by the court?
Our laws allow for folks charged with crimes to be held until they are bailed out. He was charged for a separate crime which the authorities have every right to do. There are probably 10 - 15 criminal charges awaiting Kanu.

I've already told you the solution, go and negotiate else the poor boy will rot in jail.

Per the bolded, why should any dullard instruct Ndiigbo or IPOB or MASSOB how to tread in Nigeria? Nigeria is created by men and must be disintegrated by men.
Your intellectual, physical, and spiritual superior, Ojukwu himself chose to remain in this great country and fully participated in politics. You need to retool and learn how to build coalitions to protect your political interests in this great country. No one is interested in sacrifising the lives of hundreds of thousands of the good people of Nigeria.

You are well advised to keep biafra in you minds and hearts. That is where biafra belongs and no one can take that away from you, but as far as a physical entity called biafra, carved out of this great country goes, you people are on a very looooog tin.

The court has granted him bail several times, but DSS has disobeyed the order making the judiciary look stupid

That's why I believe that the security apparatuses should be placed under the control of the judiciary since the executive arm is fond of disobeying court order using the security apparatuses.

It is only in Nigeria that a mere verbal expression is regarded as treason. I can honestly say there is something fundamentally wrong about a Nigerian society that act on idiotic assumption. Nnamdi Kanu has right to tell anybody to "go to hell". In addition, the constitution granted him the freedom of free speech and pursuance of self-determination. Nnamdi Kanu, like most Ndiigbo as well as IPOB or MASSO, does not believe in the zoo called Nigeria hence the agitation of independent home land. Per the bolded, why should any dullard instruct Ndiigbo or IPOB or MASSOB how to tread in Nigeria? Nigeria is created by men and must be disintegrated by men.
I am with you regarding the protection of the constitutional rights of every Nigerian inclusing those of Nnamdi.

You are however wrong or being intentionally deceptive when you stated that Kanu's verbal expression is regarded as treason. You are yet to see all the evidence the government has against him.

You people need to organize your elders and other respected Igbo people and go and negotiate for Kanu's release. Unfortunately, credible Igbo elders, including Justice Eze Ozobu, have already disclaimed the poor guy.

Duru1:
Why would he not choose to remain illegally detained when the moronic dumbasses in DSS and the executive branch of the Nigerian government have flayed the rule of law by not obeying the orders of the court?

You have to respect Kanu's constitutional right not to entire into a plea and his choice of remaining in jail as a consequence - this has nothing to do with a cockamamie court order.

I am not surprised at all. Nigeria has a way of turning even the brighter ones into dunces. It really sucks to be a Nigerian.
I'm sure you can be honest enough to admit that Kanu's activities call for government actions including bringing criminal charges. Admitedly Mr Kanu's cause and even his courage may be admirable, but anyone who calls for the death of a single Nigerian, most certainly, needs to answer some queries at the very least.

You people need to go and negotiate with the Feds. Make sure the negotiations include Kanu's complete disavowment of violence. Kanu is much more courageous than most of your thieving governors. Turn the movement into a political movement and seek political justice the right way. Send Kanu to the Senate or make him one of your governors and stop fighting battles which will send your youths to early graves.
