The way Buhari just allowed this guy to kill so many people still baffles me till today. Buhari was so scared of this Army Chief that he couldn't even call him to order... |
According to a civic group, the Africa Centre for Human Rights, an extensive investigation has been carried out on the two former military chiefs and the centre has gathered sufficient evidence in a 500-page document to indict the former service chiefs at the ICC in The Hague, Netherlands. Aformer Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen Tukur Buratai (retd) and his Nigerian Air Force counterpart, Air Marshal Sadique Baba Abubakar (retd) will soon face criminal charges at the International Criminal Court (ICC) over alleged human rights abuses and extra-judicial killings during their time as security chiefs. According to a civic group, the Africa Centre for Human Rights, an extensive investigation has been carried out on the two former military chiefs and the centre has gathered sufficient evidence in a 500-page document to indict the former service chiefs at the ICC in The Hague, Netherlands. The five years, six months-tenure of Buratai and Abubakar was allegedly characterised by rights abuses and extrajudicial killings of Nigerians by soldiers. Speaking for the African centre, Dr. Ifure Atafure catalogued on Tuesday the alleged atrocities under the two former service chiefs which would be tendered at the ICC. In 2015, Buratai allegedly ordered the army to kill over 500 defenceless Shiites on the ground that they “touched a General’s chest.” The incident which was tagged the ‘Zaria Massacre’ has further worsened the insecurity situation in the country. He is also believed to have ordered the October 20, 2020 shooting of innocent civilians who were protesting at the Lekki Toll Gate and sanctioned the extrajudicial massacres in Oyigbo, an Igbo settlement in Rivers State. The soldiers and officers involved in the killings were never prosecuted or punished, an indication the atrocities were committed with the approval of the army leadership, the group said. Atafure said, “Meanwhile, civilian fatalities from airstrikes in conflict areas across Nigeria were a recurring dilemma under Abubakar. In April 2020, at least 17 people, mostly women and their children playing under mango trees were said to have been killed when a fighter jet belonging to the Nigerian Air Force ‘accidentally’ dropped a bomb on Sakotoku village in Damboa Local Government Area (LGA) of Borno State. “In Sept. 2021, a dozen civilians in Buhari village in Yunusari Local Government Area of Yobe State were bombed by a military aircraft, and more than 20 other residents suffered different degrees of injuries. “Two weeks after, 20 fishermen were killed when the Air Force targeted terrorist camps in Kwatar Daban Masara in the Lake Chad area. Ground troops were also victims of these ‘accidental’ bombings. In April 2021, some soldiers were killed after a fighter jet belonging to the Nigerian Air Force shelled a military truck in Mainok, Borno State. “But just as ICC Chief Prosecutor, Fatou Bensouda, said last year that the court had received sufficient information to investigate the pair for alleged war crimes, they were confirmed as ambassadors. “While Buratai was posted to the Benin Republic, the Senate confirmed Abubakar as the country's Ambassador to Chad. Article 29 of the Vienna Convention protects diplomats from arrest and grants them immunity against civil and criminal prosecution. “Diplomats must not be liable to any form of arrest or detention. They are immune from civil or criminal prosecution, though the sending country may waive this right under Article 32,” it states. However, after nearly a year, Abubakar in particular can be prosecuted after relinquishing his role to join partisan politics. “He is the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Bauchi State for next year’s general elections. And the Africa Centre for Human Rights said it has compiled a 500-page document and will petition the ICC to resume its case of corruption, rights abuses and extrajudicial killings against the former CAS.” Atafure added that Abubakar should be in jail in the first place and not rewarded for his crimes “in a sane society.” He noted that the centre had been in touch with the ICC and the coming days, the retired Air Marshal would be invited and prosecuted. Atafure said Abubakar must provide explanations for the multiple avoidable crashes under his watch despite billions invested in purchasing fighter jets. “So far Abubakar has not accounted for all the crashes involving NAF jets under his watch. This is despite spending billions of naira for the procurement of training and fighter jets,” he said. “It is on record that virtually all the aircraft that was purchased by the former Chief are not only poorly refurbished with record-breaking highly inflated prices but were technically risky and not safe to undergo the kind of pressure it underwent. “While the nation and the aggrieved families of victims of corruption, official ineptitude and greed in the system continued to wait for a futile report of the crashes, there’s so far no hope that justice will ever be done to revisit the scandals in Abubakar’s tenure and how such practices caused the lives of very vibrant, intelligent and promising young officers and Nigerians as a whole while the nation also continued to lose billions of naira in allocation to fraudulent supplies,” he noted. Quoting the forms of crimes against humanity listed in the Rome Statute, he said under Abubakar the NAF committed “murder, rape, imprisonment, enforced disappearances, enslavement – particularly of women and children, sexual slavery and torture.” https://saharareporters.com/articles/former-military-chiefs-buratai-abubakar-appear-international-criminal-court-over-alleged?utm_source=operamini&utm_medium=feednews&utm_campaign=operamini_feednews |
This is the most hilarious video I have seen today! |
Definitely they will grant you audience but not the votes |
Don't know why the average Hausa-Fulani political class are scared of state policing. |
How many terrorist and bandits did they kill? If it was ESN Camp they stormed corpse would have littered everywhere. We know this is simply a damage control or rather to save the face of the Presidency concerning the threat from the terrorists. |
femisplash:I just don't know why you guys deviating from the main issue. Go out and investigate. The fear is real. And so many tactics are being employed by APC to slow down the number of young people getting registered. |
femisplash:Nope, you are very wrong sir! Believe it or reject it no wahala. But all I no is that based on what I have seen so far, power may likely change hand in Lagos. |
Danmboss:I am not day dreaming, I telling you the reality. This is what is on ground. I said, "THEY MAY" meaning that there are possibilities. And the way you guys talk at times really baffle me. Now listen, you talk with so much certainty like this is a natural science. Even in natural sciences hypotheses can be disproven, theories can be faulted and even Laws can be maneuvered or manipulated and how much more social events that are dynamic and subject to change? APC CAN LOSE LAGOS AND HEAVEN WILL NOT FALL. |
AtikuNetwork:Very incoherent |
jerseyboy:Personally, I can't call Lagos a no man's land. And the Igbo people I know around have never seen Lagos as a no man's land despite their huge investment. It is simply because your kinds are fast losing Lagos from being a typical tribal enclave to a metropolitan city that is why you're resorting to suspecting that Lagos is seen as a no man's land. It is fear of losing Lagos that is why you always suspect every move of an average Igbo man. And any statement he makes as an ordinary citizen is perceived as a ploy to snatch Lagos. Lagos State's political power has been in your hands since time immemorial, nobody is dragging it with you, military might is with the North cause they run the barracks, the Igbos only have commercial or economy power and yet they are your greatest suspect. Why do you think that it will be easier for the Igbos to take over Lagos than the Northerners? |
AtikuNetwork:I don't resort to insult. Between you and I who is sounding more like an IPOB or thug? You can disprove it instead of name calling. You're just being emotional and hiding from the reality. Just try and go to any of these registration centers and shout PDP and you will see the way young boys and girls will bundle you out. |

NyamiriSlayer:One can actually sense fear from the tone of your voice. |
AtikuNetwork:You guys don't know what will hit you guys since you've refused to jolt back to reality. PDP will continue with its oppositiin role while APC will feasle out as Buhari's administration ends. |
jerseyboy:How aggressive are the Igbos? Have they snatched your land without paying before? Have they established business without paying their taxes? Or, have they ever fought inter-tribal war with the Yorubas in Lagos before? Please tell me, what is your perception of aggression? |
AtikuNetwork:Ok, thanks. |
AtikuNetwork:I said that because we are more interested in the presidency most. But personally I want a change in Lagos, and LP's candidate is not really popular. People will vote anything but APC this time. |
NyamiriSlayer:You guys are just scared and pained Just open up your mind cause anything can happen in this election. It is so open. |
AtikuNetwork:If you explain to me how to put it on YouTube I won't hesitate |
AtikuNetwork:If you explain to me how to put it on YouTube I won't hesitate. |
I know Labour cannot win Lagos, but let PDP win Lagos. This thugs done run Lagos down finish. |
aycapri:Everything is possible. Like I said, the outcome of the Presidential Electionlection will either motivate or DEMOTIVATE people. The outcome will influence Lagos' Election. |
OkutaNla:Like I said, I can't upload videos because the files are too large. When compress them I will upload them. I was only being careful so that people will not complain. I will upload that of various centers too and interviews. |
AtikuNetwork:Keep deceiving yourself. |
I couldn't upload the videos cause the file is too large. Lol

I have been monitoring INEC registration for the past one months here in Lagos. And with what I saw, APC may lose Lagos because the hate on Tinubu is too much. In the bus, in the Church, at business centers etc. Except you visit LGAs, that is where you'll find people that can die for Tinubu, including Igbos working directly and indirectly with the LGAs or those playing party politics, these make up only 00.50% of the Igbo population in Lagos. The hate on Buhari has been transferred to Tinubu. AT MOST, 90% OF IGBO VOTERS THAT CONSTITUTE 30% IN LAGOS POPULATION WILL VOTE AGAINST APC. AT MOST, 60% OF NON-IGBOS THAT CONSTITUTE 15% WILL VOTE AGAINST APC. 5% OF HAUSA/FULANI THAT CONSTITUTE 10% OR 15% WILL EITHER NOT VOTE OR VOTE AGAINST APC. 50% OF THE YORUBA CHRISTIANS THAT CONSTITUTE 30% OF THE YORUBA POPULATION IN LAGOS WILL NOT VOTE APC. 5% OF YORUBA MUSLIMS THAT CONSTITUTE 20% ARE NEUTRAL OR MAY VOTE AGAINST APC. Listen, the anger I saw on the masses, I can bet you that this time around there will be limited snatching of ballot boxes, because one of the reasons ballot boxes were snatched is because in some polling units you would only find five or ten persons being attended to. Thugs barely disrupt election where people are much. They find it very difficult. So, the only way it can work is to employ more Agberos for the dirty job. But when you check the number of the entire polling unit in Lagos alone and with this upsurge of new registration then you'd wonder how many thugs Tinubu will be needing to command victory again in Lagos. Now, the issue is that PDP and Labour Part have no serious contenders and many are really focusing on the outcome of the Presidential Election. The outcome will greatly determine who will win Lagos Gubernatorial Election. I have been going to various INEC registration centers repeatedly for over two months, and there hadn't been a time that I had not met over 500 persons at every given point in time despite the fact that at least over 300 persons are registering everyday (though very low). INEC should please employ more hands. Let corp members be recruited into this registration process too to lend helping hands to these tired hands. And my plea goes to the leadership of INEC, to postpone this registration to one or two more months to give Nigerians the privilege to be part of this great revolutionary change.

Also in a Church very close, the bishop organized INEC staffs to come over on Sunday. But somehow the area boys got to know and informed the APC chairman in that area. The chairman called the INEC boss to complain, and the INEC boss in turn asked the staff to go back. Now, my point is: if religion does not matter then why not allow them organize it in the Church since the staffs were willing to do so? They knew that 99% of the Church in Lagos will vote against APC. |
THIS MAN HAS ALREADY SOLD HIS SOUL TO THE DEVIL, KILLING HIS OWN PEOPLE WITH GOD FORBIDDEN IMPUNITY. I HAVE NEVER SEEN THIS HEIGHT OF WICKEDNESS BEFORE MY COUSINS ONLY ESCAPED BY A WHISKER. SO HE WOULD HAVE ALSO CALLED MY LITTLE COUSINS BANDITS? MY HEARTFELT PRAYERS GO TO AS MANY THAT LOST THEIR LOVED ONES IN THIS DASTARD ACT. BUT TO YOU HOPE UZORDINMA, GOD HAS RISEN UP TO JUDGE YOU IN ANGER! AND YOUR END SHALL BE CELEBRATED!

Oloruntobi4382:Your MURIC say if it is not Yoruba Muslim that they won't vote for him, and here you are accusing Yoruba Christians. This is so bad. Those that bombed the Church at OWO did they tell you that they don't know where the nearest mosque is? Why the Church? They want to make a statement to either the governor or the Christian community. The division might not be feasible before, but as it stands now, Buhari's maladministration has divided the once indivisible Yoruba Nation to the extent that even animist or traditional worshipers are feeling marginalized--- we've never had it like this before. So, stop blaming Yoruba Christians. Blame the hate-filled MURIC! We couldn't distinguish Yoruba Christians from their Muslim brothers until MURIC started raising false alarm and false marginalization up and down at the expense of the Yoruba Nation as a whole--- their loyalty does not lie with their nationality but with the Sultanate. |
