The petition has exceeded 23,000 as at presently. That man has been instigating the North against the South. If religious war starts Igbos will not only be affected here, but the entire Christian and Muslim communities in Nigeria. Reno went overboard. He is hate-filled and Igbophobic. And his comments are inciteful. I hope this goes a long way. If Trump was banned then why shouldn't Reno be banned? I have already signed the petition, and I am going to sign it again and again if given the opportunity. No matter how you guys twist it, I am a pan-Nigerian and I want the best for my country.

There are somethings that are really baffling. Despite the insecurity in the North East. They are technologically and economically behind the Southern Nigeria, but why is it that when it comes to population they don't ever drop. Geographically because of the desertification happening up North, there should be reduction up North and increase down south.

I am not against the North o, but I have discovered that every other country within the shore or coast of Africa has greater population concentration in the southern areas. But in Nigeria, the reverse is the case.

In the weekly update, The Independent National Electoral Commission Summary. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has given the analysis of Nigerians in each state that recently registered to get their Permanent Voter's Cards, PVCs.

According to INEC:

Many Nigerians who saw the headline on social media storm the comments section to share their opinions. Read people's reactions on Facebook:

Governors of South Eastern states appears to be unconcerned about the poor performance of their states with respect to the ongoing PVC registration. I haven't seen any action from them with regards to the mobilisation of people for PVC registration and collection. What will it take them to constitute various mobilisation committees that will work round the clock towards ensuring that more people are registered.
Does it mean that after the massive number of people this data remains the same? We are ready to change the narratives looking at the number of youths that registered.

It's awesome that Ebonyi State is the highest in the South East in terms of PVC registration. Please other states should improve more because Ebonyi State is one the State that has the least population in South East.
There is something that I am yet to understand. It is like there is an everlasting system or structure design to permanently give Northerners upper hand in anything that has to do with population against every other part of Nigeria. So, even the online registration they are still ahead? How? This thing really weak me I swear!

PoliticsRe: I’m An Igbo Man From South-south ~ Gov. Okowa by Neatboy(m): 3:20pm On Jun 18, 2022
redseason:
See how some people are saying it’s the GEJ format! If you fell for the GEJ Azikiwe format, that is your personal issue because how an ijaw man(ijaw is one of the largest ethnic tribes in Nigeria after after the big 3 spread across several states) metamorphosed into an ibo man is strange.

This is not a brief for Okowa, I benefit nothing from his government, that b toeing said, while I cannot tell much about river state, I know for certain as an ukwuani man from NDOKWA west that we identify as delta ibos, an acronym for all the ibo speaking parts of delta which spans across NDOKWA west, east, some parts of ukwani LGA, Oshimili north and south, Aniocha north and south and the whole of IKA. Have you heard a terminology like “delta bini or delta edo? Did you take cognizance of the names of these people and their dialect? Even the names of their towns and communities? Their dress sense? Their culture? Their masquerades/festivals? Even their local gods? But of course we expect the across the Niger ibos to come forward today and tell us how an IKA man is a lesser ibo man, even when the urhobos, ijaw, itsekiris, isokos all class them as the ibos among them.

This is one of the reasons the average ibo man from places other than the south east should be wary of the southeastern ibos. Their oneness is when power and money is not involved. The moment money or power is introduced, you will see their inherent greed. The very reason am ibo man will never be president is because an ibo man will always sell the ibo tribe to an outside bidder.

I pity my people at the actualization of Biafra which we hope to usher a better life, because the marginalization from the east will dwarf whatever the region experiences from other parts today. You think the average eastern ibo will allow power rotate equitable? Even in delta, they allow it rotate equitable around the 3 geopolitical zones. The eastern ibo is so greedy that he would rather sell his brother than allow power stay with his neighbors. Who sold the ibos in the first republic? Who did the core ibo heavy weights campaign for in the ruling APC primaries? When the ibos had the slot of the senate presidency under obasanjo, remind me again how many times they were used to do hatchet jobs and impeach themselves? In one government, we had Emwerem, okadigbo, wabara, Anyim etc.

I graduated from Unizik in 2009 and I saw first hand how power drunk they are, every district, you have an igwe because nobody wants to be subservient to his neighbor. Igwe Nodu, Igwe okpuno, igwe nodu okpuno, igwe every single department, igwe every single faculty, igwe every single hostel, igwe every single fellowship, igwe every church, igwe anything about everything. Even the streets have igwe. These are the people that will allow power rotate to Delta or Rivers in a Biafra?

How convenient that in my country of residence, we just discovered that every count of people we have had issues with regards to betrayal and bussiness deals gone bad is an eastern ibo from imo state, save a single edo exception. 11 total cases with a whopping 10 from one eastern state.

They will never see anything wrong in themselves. I expect them to bash me and ignore the barefaced truth, it will not stop it from being the truth. And yes, presidency is far from the east until the put their greed and betrayal tendencies behind. Obi will not be president, even though he is the best man for the job. I don’t live in social media delusions.
Just one word to describe all what you've written:

SELF-HATE.
PoliticsRe: Peter Obi Visits Egypt To Study Their System by Neatboy(m): 10:24am On Jun 15, 2022
I have come to realize that education has very little impact on how most of the average Nigerans think.

Listen, I have my own candidate which is Peter Obi, and every other candidate that I will not vote for I can objectively and constructively give you reasons why the other candidates can't win my vote, and my opinions are not subject to tribe or religion.

Most of the comments that I have read here have made me to realize that Nigeria looks or seems irredeemable. Do you guys really know what constructive criticism is? Even the so called owner of this platform, Seun made a comment that made me realize that this country needs help. I also heard and saw Dr. Reuben Abati on Arise News sharing the same sentiment, then I wondered, who has bewitched this country? A country where even lecturers and learned people can not be objective and constructively put ideas together. Nigerians are just too emotionally and sentimentally attached to bad leadership.

Is there no way we can see things objectively and even criticise constructively? I saw Deji Adeyanju and Aisha's comments and realized that these guys lack depth, sincerely speaking.

What is bad with Peter Obi visiting Egypt now? Why do you think he should not even move an inch out of Nigeria at this electioneering period? Why should he be in Ekiti State the same day that APC are having their own outing? Does the Labour Part have a candidate in Ekiti State?

Sincerely speaking, I want a better Nigeria. Now, if I see a candidate better than Peter Obi I will not hesitate to pitch my tent with him/her. But as it stands now, he seems to be the best both in character, in depth and with the capacity to deliver without fear or favour!

Nairaland GeneralRe: My Take And Why I Think Obi Should Withdraw by Neatboy(m): 4:45pm On Jun 10, 2022
Kingozymandias:
I am an Igbo man , a rpiud one at that and I love the gentleman candidate Peter Obi so much.

But I am also educated, a master degree holder and a strategic thinker. Hence I know there is no way on earth that Peter Obi could win ok the structure of labour party. Not because well meaning Nigerians across all tribes won't vote for him, no they will but those votes will be out scored by the huge network of riggers in both the ApC and PdP . Structures which the Labor party doesn't have. It took APC and PDP mergers and decades to build this sort of network , hence idealism and a passionate enthusiasm can't over come this.

Hence I feel Obi should withdraw and we give support to Atiku. But in the flip side every vote for Obi is actually one less for Tinubu and there is no way in hell Tinubu can defeat Atiku in the north forget the propaganda this is why he went to Umahi and he is visiting soludo next. This is why the thugs atatcked my brothers and sisters in Lagos who went to register for their pvc.

They know the truth , they know all the numbers pandered by their southwest media that Igbos have the least vote is 100% false , we all know this too . For the first time since the civil war igbis have determined and deicded to come enmasse into politics and nothing can stop this movement.

Now the every southwest who denied us a chance in Aso rock will want to make parley in the coming weeks , watch and see.

The truth is Tinubu is no match for Atiku in the north and the southwest vote alone is nothing compared to the Northern vote . So the battle ground would be whoever wins the southsouth and southeast votes.

The southwest is the second most populous tribe in Nigeria after the Hausa , it would be known this period and established. The massive registering for pvc going on in the southeast, in WhatsApp griuos and tinder groups everyone is being encouraged to register .

In town union meetings the same message 8s being passed . The southwest labelled us 5% and inconsequential for long now the truth will be glaring an fit favours the north to allow this as it strengthens Atikus position this is why Igbos are free to register massively in the north .

Now I believe if Obi can withdraw and we vote masisvely for Atiku it gives us a string bargaining chip for the next four years . I don't care who is VP now.. but let us make a bold statement by voting massively for Atiku because either Atiku or Obi favours us
Atiku has never ever expressed tribalsitic feelings towards us Igbos , one of his wives is Igbo.

Unlike the southwest who have time and again attacked us, targeted us ,used us as scapegoats. We are better off with an Atiku presidency.

Let Atiku rule us for 8 years that better than a Tinubu who hates the southsouth and southeast.

He has openly criticised the southsouth during GEJs government, he took away the Dangote refinery and to Lagos that is 12000 jobs lost to the southwest.

Tinubu cares into about his people. He will make sure all the airprirts in southsouth and southeast are not functioning. He will close all the ports else where permanently so the new one at Lekki can thrive .

He will subjugate other regions just so Yoruba can lord over everyone else. And then for the next 16 years he will be the one choosing all the governors and all senators in Nigeria the way he does in the southwest
Not need to tell us that you are a master degree holder or a strategic thinker.

All that I can see is the fear to fail or the fear of starting up something new. Every hypothesis or theory can actually be disproven, now, soon or later. My problem with your likes is that you approach things straight-jacketedly without leaving rooms for eventualities.

With PDP's massive structures, they boasted that they will be in power for over fifty years until something happened! Listen, it was not even about the merger because many political parties had been merging to dislodge PDP to no avail. But something happened within the PDP itself that destroyed their strength and gave APC greater opportunity. And funny enough, some within the PDP thought it was the normal, "We disagree to agree," but they never knew their end was coming.

Now, with all what you've written, you deliberately shut the door against hope and possibilities. Even as factual as Natural Science is, it still does not rule out possibilities outside its guiding principles, then how much more Social Science in which Politics falls under. Anything can happen but only when you try. If you don't try then nothing will happen. Humans are not scientific materials that are kinda static. Politics has its own dynamics.

Before that period of election, something may happen in Nigeria that will build up a deeper political consciousness among the masses, even to the people in our rural areas to the extent that it may make them not to even consider party or money anymore but just to vote the right person. So, please, don't rule out possibilities. Let him try, even if he loses no wahala! He will learn and Nigeria will miss.

PoliticsMy Honest Opinion Concerning The Killings In South East by Neatboy(op):
Seriously, I weep for what is happening in Nigeria, and most importantly in the South East Region. It really breaks my heart to see people die everyday in this country. Can we just stop this wickedness for the sake of humanity and in the name of God? I beg whomsoever is responsible!

What is happening in the South East is condemnable. And no reasonable Igbo person should support this. But the fundamental questions here are: how did we get to this point? An average Igbo man that we know really love life and that is why wherever he goes he beautifies the place to make the place like his own home. If the Igbo man is in the habit of beautifying another man's land then do you all think he would set his own house or land on fire?

Can't we just sit back and think about what is happening to us all and how we got to this point? I am not happy with IPOB and the way they are handling this secession matter. If they are responsible for all these let them let us know that they have turned violent, but if they are not responsible, then let them be so quick to condemn any act of barbarity and not just wait until the Nigeria media have finished painting them black then they will now start their damage control denial method.

Are the killings done by ESN, IPOB or UGM? I am not in defence of IPOB, but even if IPOB had come out and stated categorically that ESN are in the forest chasing out Fulani Herdsmen, still, my questions are: Since we've not heard of the Fulani menace much again in the South East then where are those ESN boys? Where have they gone to with the arms? Who was paying them before? Are they the ones parading now as the UGM? Have they become loosed and monstrous because they no longer have a central command since Nnamdi Kanu was captured?

*THE ORDER SIDE OF THE COIN:*
Another side to this is: are these UGM Fulani Herdsmen in disguise trying to make South East ungovernable because of the South East outright rejection of RUGA and of Fulani taking over their farmlands? Or are they the foot soldiers of our politicians --- Hope Uzodimma, Rochas Okorocha, Andy Uba etc, that have gone out of their grips just like Herdsmen had also gone out of the grips of the Fulani Oligarchs?

And even if they are sponsored by these politicians or rather used by them, then why are the UGMs singing secessionist song? Why are they killing security officials and why are some people from the South East passively singing their praise?

All these are questions begging for answers!

To me, I believe that whatsoever is bedeviling the South East today is caused by the Nigeria State or system. If you had travelled to the South East before this time you'd realize that these people are not Nigerians but conquered people. From Delta to Abia State you might see up to 100 Police and army checkpoints or extorting points--- And it is not even like that in the besieged Maryopol of Ukraine. My point here is, it is not all children you should beat with a rod, some you beat or discipline with words. If you choose to go with rod all the time you might end up hardening the softhearted. Do you remember how the Nigeria Army were killing innocent IPOB protesters like flies? No respect for human life at all! They will even kill you if you are putting on an ordinary Biafra insignia, and now, they have succeeded in hardening these people. Now, the same security personnel will barely move around freely in the South East with Nigeria Security Insignia without being gunned down. Generally, the high-handedness of the Nigeria Security Force, most especially the Nigeria Army is so disturbing--- no rule of engagement or human face at all! I believe many have lost touch with humanity because of the incessant wasting of innocent people's blood (END-SARS comes to mind). Sincerely speaking, the Nigeria Government has succeeded in creating another monster in the South East.

Was it IPOB\ESN that killed Dora Akunyili's husband? No! It was politically motivated! Was it IPOB\ESN that killed that Anambra Law Maker? No! I don't think so! I believe all these are politically motivated! But what will they gain by roping it on IPOB? Why is the Nigeria Government with the help of the media are so bent in roping this IPOB--- just like calling a dog bad name just to hang it. Why are they struggling so much to put IPOB in the same category with Boko Haram, but have refused to proscribe the Fulani Herdsmen as terrorist group even when UN had done so? How can IPOB be peaceful in the United States, UK, Japan etc, and be violent in Nigeria?

Just like Edwin Clarke said, if you don't want them let them go! You can't keep them and still be subjugating them. It is only a matter of time and there will be an uprising. It may be worst than the Arab Spring or French Revolution.

How I think this problem can be solved: The Nigeria government and the South East Political leaders, if they are really sincere enough, they should organize a political-cum-security summit concerning the South East in the South East. Let this matter be thoroughly discussed. Giving the South East the presidency will not stop all these--- in fact, there is a natural deep hatred for the Igbo man in this country. I have interacted with many Igbo people, even most of the rich ones do not really believe in this country because of this deliberate policy of exclusion. And if not for the fact that Igbos have made themselves indispensable the Nigeria system would have totally severed them. Let the President and the Igbo political and religious classes act like fathers now and call these boys and ask them to drop their arms. Where is our revered Reverend Ejike Mbaka, please speak up! I am really tired of this bloodletting!
