Politics / Will Nigeria's Population Reach 300 Million By 2050? by Nefort: 12:15pm On Jul 13, 2023
There are several forecasts predicting that Nigeria's population will reach 300 million by 2050. Considering the way Nigerians are obsessed with marriage and the prevalence of poor and less educated people giving birth to many children it's very easy to agree we are likely heading towards 300 million by 2050. But can this actually happen? Or will hunger and poverty put a stop to it?

In spite of the difficulties in the Nigeria I am actually surprised Nigerians still want to keep breeding. As Nigerians keep bringing many hungry mouths to the world than our economy can accommodate we will start blaming government for being incompetent. Unfortunately no government in the world can take care of a surplus amount of human beings above what their economy can handle.

I doubt poverty will ever be eliminated in Nigeria because any small development and comfort Nigerians get they will use it to give birth to additional 100 million people to saturate the available resources and keep the hardship constant. If the performance of the government increases and the population increases more then the hardship will always remain constant.

Exactly what I've been saying. If they arrest Simon Ekpa, another fool will just take his place and the gullible followers will take the new lord's words as gospel. It'll just be a never ending cycle.
I am wondering how Simon Ekpa became popular. Nobody knew him before.

So you know all these facts yet choose to come elsewhere to ask us all to acquire guns against sit at home .
Yes we need to acquire guns to fight the TERRORISTS. Those guys imposing the sit-at-home and shooting people for not complying are CRIMINALS. You don't force people to sit-at-home and kill them if they don't comply. It doesn't make sense and sitting at home doesn't solve anything. You can't terrorise your own people as a means to achieve secession. That's madness.

A new innovation that will help to jointly pay for Uber/Bolt/etc.

The only disadvantage is for a cool headed lady to share a ride with a very useless moronn, unknown at the beginning.
Same as entering public transport. Will you refuse entering a bus because you feel the other passengers are morons?

Politics / Igbos Should Start Acquiring Guns by Nefort: 7:58pm On Jul 10, 2023
As it stands now some terrorists are now imposing their will on the majority of Igbos in the name of "freedom fighting" through sitting at home. These terrorists are less in number compared to the general population of Igbos, but the reason they are having the power to impose their sit-at-homes on majority of Igbos is because they have guns. They show up at random places in Igbo land to shoot and scare the majority of Igbos into sitting-at-home. This is actually a red flag and Igbos should be worried about it because they can easily take a step further to terrorise Igbo land when they notice people are scared of them.

Nobody knows where all these madness is heading to so my suggestion is that the good ones in Igbo land should start acquiring guns to protect themselves and prevent only the terrorists having guns and terrorising people. When the bad guys are the only ones having guns then the good ones will suffer. When the majority of good Igbo people have weapons to protect themselves these terrorists will never show up to cause problems.

The way MNK and Simon Ekpa succeeded in zombifying Ibo people ought to be studied as a course. As in, a whole region of over 15-million inhabitants under siege by a bunch of wanna-be gangsters posing as freedom-fighters. Smh.
Nnamdi Kanu and Simon Ekpa are not actually the reason why Igbos want to want secede from Nigeria. Before these two guys came up I hope you recall we used to have MOSSOB since many years ago. I would say there are two reasons why Igbos want to secede whether Nnamdi Kanu and Simon Ekpa are there or not. The first reason is that Igbos feel Nigeria is a failed state and Biafra is the solution. The second reason is due to the civil war loss. They desperately want to turn that loss to victory and feel good.

How will army Generals , Navy Rear- admirals and air force Air vice marshals honour a meeting summoned by a police officer?
grin grin grin

Fingers crossed

Your question is like asking how the military officers will honour a meeting summoned by the president who has no military background.

In the military appointment supercedes rank. Same thing should also apply with other appointments outside the military. Your appointment should supercedes Generals, Navy Rear admirals and Air vice marshals.

Tinubu knew it was his time, so despite all the obstacles put in his path by even his own party and the now retired government, Tinubu's time did not pass him by.

How on Earth did people get decieved that a failed Governor in Anambra who was regarded as a curse and bad omen without vision, would be a better President when compared to Tinubu who was a very forward thinking and economic genius as Governor of Lagos State?

Imagine the delusional optimism that a constantly dull Obi had something better to offer which he never offered Anambra state.

Tinubu should have resumed office first,go through the records, balance the accounts, negotiate the negotiatables, meet the marketers, evaluate the market, negotiate with Dangote,do a market survey, and conclude the best case scenario for Nigerians before announcing the subsidy removal.......Now marketers are cashing out big time because of tinubu's reckless pronouncement......with a new indeginious refinery and a ready market Nigerians should have a better deal in terms of Pump price......But our Mandate thief wants to recoup the money he used in stealing the position immediately without caring for the masses.....and subsidy payment was the only spare aspect of the Nigerian Budget that the thief Tinubu can use to recover the Billions of Naira he used in Getting the position....... Nobody invests money to lose the money 🤣........ Forget about the fraudulent quote the wife of tinubu is putting up that God has blessed the Tinubu's family and they don't need Nigerian money🤣🤣🤣🤣....... God has blessed them but they have clinged to Lagos State's mega revenue and resources for years now......God has blessed them but they have made sure their stooge continue as Government in Lagos to continue their stealing of Tax player's money......God has blessed them but they used billions of Naira to bribe their way to power and snatch political power to run away with it.....God has blessed them but they spent billions to bankroll many youths to kill, intimidate, snatch ballot boxes, and even impersonate online as patriotic Nigerians for them to remain on the good books of Gulible Nigerians ....... Anyone thinking Tinubu is the solution to Nigeria's problems is just totally blind...... Nigeria is doomed or else The New Nigeria comes to pass.

Young junior officers are mostly the master minds behind coups. Even if there will be a coup today it will be by a young junior officer.

I don't agree with you. Apart from Gowon no other military head state was young. Abacha, Babangida, Buhari, Obasanjo, Murtala Mohammed and Aguiyi Ironsi were much older and senior military officers.
Politics / Re: 38-Year-Old Egbedun Elected Osun Assembly Speaker by Nefort: 9:42pm On Jun 07, 2023
Zxcvbnmghtr:
Yakubu Gowon was 29 31 years old when he was head of state of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Most of his colleagues at the helms of affairs were not up to 35 years old.
That's because the military officers during Gowon's time were recently recruited and young just after independence. Then the military coups easily made it possible for young men to become of head state. But these days we have older senior military officers and even if there is a military coup it will be very difficult for a young junior military officer to become head of state.

Yorubas are very few in number in Igbo land. If their population was higher they will certainly get appointments. Igbos in Lagos is a different matter because their population is quite large enough to influence the state.
