Date of start of my program and the end date of my master degree program.

Good evening my E-family, I just received an email from the embassy this evening stating that I should send my passport and travel health insurance (ie my visa is ready). I wish to use this opportunity to thank all members of this forum for making this possible by your wonderful contributions and sometimes advises, both the Ogas in Germany and the so called newbies, I can't count how many times most of you paid for my Uni-Assist fee right from part 2, I may not be able to mention all your names coz your many, you guys know yourselves, may God continue to guide and be with you guys in all you do...

I did my interview on 30th June 2017, and I also funded my blocked account before the interview.


Please my Ogas in Hamburg , ur boy dey come oooo, make una help me arrange accommodation before October 1st. Though I have applied to Hamburg studierendwerk for accommodation in student hostel since May, however am still on their wait list ,so any suggestions for alternative accommodation is welcomed .....

May I also use this opportunity to remind those still waiting for their own interview dates and visa result to be hopeful that God is in control , at the end of the day, they all will also praise the Good Lord Amen..

waooo congrats for the admission. Well still press on. Presently German consular to Nigeria is presently in Nigeria. I watch him visiting enugu state governor yesterday. We just have to send series of email to them and their headquarter in Berlin.

@Johnnyessence please all that are affected should bombard them with emails oo,, its very disheartening for someone to undergo the stress of admission and the expenses involved , and after just to be told that the dreams will die off just like that, because the embassy cannot schedule appointment when we all know that its not prospective student's fault on when the admission status/results are released.... If there is quota to the number of Nigerian students they can accommodate in any given semester then that should be made public for for Nigerians and the whole world to know, other than that its not a enough reason to deny people the opportunity of pursuing their academic dreams.... Those that are affected we stand with you and pray that a positive solution will come in time... Never give up on your dreams guys...... We will achieve our goals, fulfil our heart desires and dream come through to all who believe Amen...

Relax man! I didn't tick it too. So long as you were not contacted by the embassy or FedEx/DHL after the first 2 weeks from your interview to come for your documents, it means they have very strong interests in giving you the visa. They were simply waiting for you to fund your account, that's all. Since you've funded now, just ensure you send them the notification from the bank once you have it by mail so they can start processing your visa. In short, you have the visa already bro. Congrats! Go and start celebrating. Start packing your things and get set for #WINTER

It simply means you will apply for the Ausweis when you get to Germany to cover your period of study.

I did not tick it when I submitted my visa application, I thought it meant that since I will spend two years which is more than a year that I should not tick??, hope it won't affect my visa application, it has been up to 20 days after my interview now and no message yet from the embassy and I have equally funded my blocked account ...?

Embassy notification for blocked account: 30th May
Blocked account funded: 2nd June
Notification sent to Embassy: 5th June
AM (in Ghana it is a phone call): 13th July
Visa received: 13th July

PS: I'm not opening a block account because I'm going on European Union scholarship.

prepaid courier envelop is among the things listed in the student's checklist that you should bring along with other documents for your interview , the envelop is needed for your original documents to be sent back to you after the interview, you can use Dhl, FedEx etc, the envelop should be addressed to the German embassy/consulate Lagos Nigeria, it should also contain your own address....

Visa fee as of today is N20,500 equivalent to 60 Euros.

Health insurance , I ticked NO, the addressed to the German embassy Lagos, it should also carry your own personal address where your original documents will be mailed back to you.

who is the chancellor?

What are your plans after studies ?
Means of substinence?
How did you pay for blocked account?
How much did you pay?
Which bank did you use?
Who is sponsoring you?
Parents occupation?
My own occupation?
These are all I can remember for now, if I remember other ones then I will come and modify it again, meanwhile do not be startled by the behaviour of the white man at the gate(Paul) or so?... He is another thing, just keep ur composure no matter how he shouts at you. The man embrasses people easily but don't argue with him , follow his instructions and be focused coz everything is in d hand of God. Another thing is passport background is white and according to specifications. I had to retake another passport and submitted after my interview coz the one I had with me was rejected by them... My passport was returned to me but my original documents are still with them, they will mail it back to me with prepaid courier envelop that I submitted.... I really need prayers now for a positive outcome , thank u guys and I wish the next winter guys success oo.....

I think it's the one with the account details u should attach because I attached that one that contains the contract details and I was told that I did not attach the necessary doc for student visa app. although I was a given a date.

The same with me I applied with the fintiba contract details form with and I got two mails, one stating that I did not apply with the necessary documents and another mail with a date so I ignored the first one.. So apply with the fintiba documents with the payments details..

That VDP certification is not necessary because UNI-ASSIST will forward the same to the school (Uni-Hamburg). In my own case I forwarded certified copies of my other other documents after I got the admission.. Thank you, hope this helps

Yes, in my own case i had to send the vpd again with other documents to the admission committee, it was compulsory , so make sure you cross check the requirements and the procedure and send the vpd along before the deadline.. If you have doubts then you can as well mail the course coordinator of the program your applying for or the admission committee, they do always reply mails too.. I wish you the best of lucks bro
