Theres a way Amazon does it, they can bill you direct in Naira, which is way better than bank exchange rate, or they bill you in Usd and the bank changes with ther own rate. Open an account with Amazon and choose Naira as ur currency or when you enter your card detail

Wow lemme do it right away then !! That's so cool. Tnx dear

It's not easy for both parties especially people like us that took toddlers.
I can't count how many potential hosts; some family, some friends that point blank told me to leave my son in Nigeria as they won't be able to take care of him when I'm in the hospital.

Sometimes, you'll 'mu oju kuro' (overlook somethings).
Just hang in there especially because when you're in the hospital they will have to help you take care of your kid. You don't want to be worrying about her when you're pushing or supposed to be resting.

Pele, it's almost over.
Happy New year!

My dear o not easy coming here with a kid .. But her daddy will join us soonest.. Not easy on both side!!!

All these "monitoring spirits" you guys won't post anything

Anyway I don't have Dr E's email. Abeg leave my pm alone. I won't reply any pm asking for her email or full names.

U people like to b fed... Mscheew imagine after all explanation u r still asking for email

If u have gone through the thread you wldnt even ask what her full name is.

I know how their stuff works cos I asked a lot of questions during my stay/experience there.... Doesn't necessarily mean I must have d email. I didn't use her correspondence...
Mbok I even said it here...

MONITORING SPIRITS LEAVE MY PM ALONE.

Congrats dear, I see u r preggy again !!! #When hormones take over lol

All these harshness discourage people from posting their visa transcripts and people like Chizeez02 and I who are yet to go for interview need to read them. I understand everyone can't be as detailed as KDK.

Pls as a fallout of kemmytino's post, I need help from guru's in the house. For the purposes of visa interview, what's d difference btw doctors correspondence and doctor's appointment letter. I already contacted a doctor and his assistant has mailed me his bills. Will that suffice? Cos I understand doctors appt as a mail saying i'm to meet the doctor in d US on so and so date. Pls someone kindly clear my confusion.

It's pretty much the same thing dear.. Don't mind us here it is all love u hear?? But u guys should just try n read back cos some people find it hard answering d same questions all over , don't worry in 3 months u will be pissed if someone is asking a qts u answered like 50 times 5 secs ago. So go ahead with the email n d quotes cos na same thing diff grammer. Good luck

I think NIC may have increased their rate as most mamas that gave birth of recent didn't get same $335 I and oda old mamas got.
Or maybe it's just the whatever screening dat resulted to the extra cost.

Na wa o,, aren't they aware of this dollar rate?? Increasing any fees now is suicidal. When I get there I will beg them to collect all my money before delivery abeg.. This trip is not for gain hearted oo

Please my dear experienced mums and dads, I need ur advice on the exchange rate to use for my budget sheet. Used 250 naira to $1 and it summed to approximately 3M . @ KDK used 200 for his wife's recent interview, thinking of doing that but I want to be on a safe side that's why am asking. Please ur candid opinion will be appreciated. HAPPY NEW YEAR IN ADVANCE

I think u should use the official rate for now unless it goes up..

Had someone make the deposit with the Dr office to cover, part of the total cost (hospital,Dr etc) then got a letter from the dr office on oakbend letterhead that I had made deposit towards the total medical cost. Note that they didnt even ask me any questions abt hospital or dr at Poe.

Aww that's good!! Congrats on Poe

In ma reply from embassy for change of intent , was adviced to hold receipts during "this particular visit" and future visa interviews. So just decided to make some deposit out of the projected cost to the doctor (but total projected cost covers doctor, hospital, pead, labs n prob epidural).

As in u paid oakbend?? Pls throw more light cos I read they don't accept pre registration !!

Wow they are so mean!!

isysleek:
Refund with arik? Hmmnn..its best you just manage to fly back with them cos the refund amt will b less than N30k.

I used them when I went to give birth. On my return, wanted to change to Virgin so I asked for a refund. They said since its voluntary, then they will charge for it and also take out taxes. When I asked how much I wil get,it was like N20 somthng and virgin ticket was like N500k. I just closed my eye and flew back with arik o and swore never to fly them again both local and int'l.
