Hey guys! Been so long. I just wanted to share my thoughts since this Rumble made me love wrestling again.

Probably my favourite Rumble ever, topping 2001 and 2007.

Bianca Belair is a superstar and I loved her performance so much.

Bray actually had a good match that wasnt underwhelming and I'm so happy for him.

The Chosen One finally getting his chance!
Brock steamrolling through the rumble was a good way to set up the Drew elimination and subsequent match up.

The women's Rumble match was damn good even if Charlotte didn't need to win.

Becky and Asuka have great chemistry. I loved the ending and Becky's reaction at finally getting the win.

So good to see MVP again.

Shayna Baszler has a really menacing look and I like it!

And EDGE. OH GOD I COULD NOT BREATHE.

Paige should do well. Would be cool to see how she improves the women's division over there. WWE have desperately needed a female authority figure besides Steph for a while.

I am so livid.
Almost every time I get hyped for a WWE Pay-Per-View this bullshit happens. Especially Wrestlemania.

GOOD:

•Ronda Rousey & Angle def. Stephanie and Triple H.
This was by far the best match of the night. Who would have thought that two part-timers in their 40s along with a 41-year-old mother of 3 and a rookie who is green AF would put on the best match on a card that featured Charlotte, AJ, Asuka, Daniel Bryan, Reigns, Nakamura and SamiKO??

•The Intercontinental match was exciting and well paced.
Glad to see Rollins become a grand slam champion but I feel Balor really needed that win more than anyone else.

•Charlotte def. Asuka. Good match but deserved more time.
A bit irked by the ending, but since PWIinsider is reporting that Charlotte was booked strongly so we could get WM Main event featuring Charlotte and Rousey next year, I'm okay with it.

•Nia Jax def. Alexa Bliss.
Okay match, better than it had any right to be. But Bliss got in way too much offence.

•Undertaker def. John Cena.
Good to see Taker back and he looked healthy. Was nothing but a feel good squash but I'll take it.



BAD:

•Jinder wins again. Why? A boring match and an undeserving winner. Why not have Randy retain or give it to Rusev? What is Jinder going to do? Feud with Randy again? Good lord.

•Braun Strowman & Nicholas def. The Bar.
Horrible matchup that was filled with time-wasting, pandering nonsense. Decent idea tbh, but horribly executed.

•Smackdown Tag Championship.
What the hell was this? A match that everyone was hyped for was just thrown away and for what? The crowd was dead and nothing seemed to click. Why didn't they make this a TLC?

•Daniel Bryan and Shane def. SamiKO.
WHOSE BRILLIANT IDEA WAS IT TO HAVE DANIEL BRYAN SIT OUT MORE THAN HALF OF THE MATCH??! THE MOST ANTICIPATED IN-RING RETURN OF THE MODERN ERA AND YOU HAVE HIM DO A STRETCHER ANGLE FOR THE MOST PART?! JESUS. At least thank goodness he actually moves well and looks healthy.
But still, another underwhelming match. And talk about underwhelming...

•AJ Styles def. Nakamura.
Fucking hell. Who booked this match. A so-called dream match that turned out to be nothing more than a glorified Smackdown main event? My god. I havent been this disappointed since Royal Rumble 2015.

AND FINALLY

What the Bleep was Vince thinking booking the Universal Title match like that?!
Roman kicking out of 5 F5s??! Or was it 6 or maybe 37 F5s? AND THEN ONLY TO HAVE LESNAR STILL WIN?
How are you going to try to play the match like Austin vs Hitman at WM13 when your Austin in this case is hated by both casual and smark fans?
I AM HAPPY THE CROWD SHAT ON THE MATCH ALL THROUGH.
AND I AM HAPPY BROCK GOT ANGRY AND LEFT WITHOUT POSING FOR THE CAMERAS.
MAYBE THAT WILL FINALLY PUT SOME SENSE INTO VINCE'S HEAD.

Taker has tried, he is old, should be retired and chilling in the hall of fame.
That's not really why though.
My main problem is that the buildup to this match is BS. Cena can't find anyway to enter wrestlemaina and in an act of desperation tries to latch onto taker?
Story line is DOA.
What's actually the point of the fight? Taker doesn't need to prove a damn thing to cena. His records speak for themselves. And it's worse because I know the only reason I am watching this is because wwe was looking for a way to throw cena and taker to wrestlemaina.

No, they haven't developed the storyline at all. There are rumours that Taker is showing up at Mania tonight but not for a fight. The rumour says there will be an angle to build up Cena vs Taker next year at WM35 similar to the Cena vs Rock thingy at WM27.
I doubt it though as that would be anticlimactic.
What I am hoping to see is ABA Taker making a return with Kid Rock performing his theme live.

And as for the point of the match, there really isn't any except for the fact that it is a dream match. Nothing to prove to each from both parties. This is just a dream match up featuring two stars who have yet to face each other at the prime of careers. The last time they did battle, Cena was still in Thuganomics mode and Taker was riding a bike into the ring.
We had several missed opportunities with Austin vs Goldberg and Taker vs Sting and I'm guessing WWE do not want this to wait again since reports are that Taker is feeling very healthy and strong.
I still feel we should have had this match at WM30 and Taker vs Sting at WM31.

As for the mixed tag match, Ronda will probably not injure anyone since all four parties will be playing it very safe. What I am scared of is Ronda facing people like Sasha who bump hard and Nia who is a fellow botcher. There could be a risk of injury in both match ups.
I do hope Ronda gets better in the ring though since she has been training passionately under Angle.

Anyone watching Takeover: New Orleans tonight? I see the male and female titles changing hands. Johnny's always having issues with his friends. But they should do quick and promote that guy to the main roster.

On the topic of Wrestlemania predictions, if Charlotte doesn't end the streak, then it will definitely be Rousey.

I think Asuka wins and keeps her streak.
Carmella cashing in is a real possibility. If she doesn't cash in on WM night in the Charlotte-Asuka or Bliss-Nia match, then it will be on the RAW after Mania.

Yes, I'm looking forward to the Ronda/Angle vs HHH/Steph match but it can quickly turn to shit because:

1. Steph was never good in the ring and hasn't wrestled in ages.
2. Angle used to be a world beater in the ring but we've seen in his last few appearances that he is far from good these days.
3. Ronda is green AF and I'm scared she'll do way too many botches.
HHH is the only person decent in ring there but i'm not sure if he'll be able to carry the match alone.
Still optimistic though.

As for Cena vs Taker, I'm curious, why don't you wanna see it?

You shouldn't miss it. It has the best card in years. 10 (possibly 11) matches on the main show featuring AJ, Brock, Asuka, Bryan, Roode, Reigns, Charlotte, Angle, Orton, The New Day, Shane McMahon, Braun, Nakamura, Ronda Rousey, Rollins, HHH etc and potentially Cena vs Undertaker! I'm so hyped.

It will be an amazing show.

There was a leak sometime ago from the WWE website prematurely announcing the stipulations. It has not been made officiall yet though so I'm guessing they are either leaving it late or have changed their minds.

Brain Strowman was a nice touch but I still feel we'll get a decent surprise partner.
I am very hyped for Wrestlemania. This is the best Wrestlemania card for ages and I hope they don't blow it.

Usos vs Bludgeon Brothers vs New Day in a TLC match
Bryan & Shane vs SamiKO
Ronda & Angle vs Steph & HHH
Brock vs Roman II
Charlotte vs Asuka
AJ vs Nakamura
and potentially Cena vs Taker.

These are the marquee matches of what is just a jaw-dropping card that also includes Orton, Rollins, Miz, Strowman, Balor, the Bar and Rusev. Amazing.

Shawn Michael's will main event Wrestlemania again before CM Punk comes back to WWE. Punk left WWE with enough bitterness in his heart to neutralize all the sugar in a mountain of Coke. WWE will have to offer him an executive position in heaven for him to consider coming back

My take however is that while it is very unlikely he returns especially with HHH and Steph moving into controlling positions soon, it is not improbable.
If Vince and WWE could bury the hatchet with Brock, Warrior, Alundra/Medusa, Hogan and Bret, CM Punk coming back is not impossible. Brock went as far as filing a law suit and shitting on WWE after he left. And we all know the animosity between WWE and Bret was a lot more heated than the one with Punk currently is.

Never say never. I wish to see CM Punk make a return one day and get his deserved WrestleMania main event. The pop we are going to get when the static kicks in along with "Cult of Personality" will be loud and glorious!
Imagine Punk returning in the no.30 spot at the Royal Rumble... in Chicago!
