"He asked for it" - Woman says after being caught sleeping with a 13-year-old boy In Zimbabwe.

An unidentified Greendale woman has been arrested after she was caught having sex with a 13-year-old boy in Houghton Park, Zimbabwe.

The boy mother got the shock of her life when she returned home and caught her son being sexually abused by the woman.

She immediately called the police, to arrest the woman.

The Police spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Mr Paul Nyathi confirmed the arrest and also disclosed that investigations into the case were already underway and details will be released in due course.

He said; The Zimbabwe Republic Police would like to confirm the arrest of a woman alleged to have been caught having sex with a minor in Houghton Park."

Upon being interviewed, the lady said she didn’t commit any crime as the minor was the one who invited her to have sex at his parents’ house.




What did I do wrong and how did I know his house if he hadn't called me?

We had protected sex and I do not see any reason why I can be treated like a thief or robber




The woman was taken to Waterfalls Police Station where she is currently being detained. He added that, having sex with a minor is a criminal offense even if the minor consents. It is a serious crime that attracts jail term In Zimbabwe.

The Anambra state government has announced the introduction of a curfew in the state, to help check the spread of COVID19 virus.



The Secretary to Anambra State government, Professor Solo Chukwulobelu, who disclosed this, said the curfew will start from Monday, February 8, and will last from 9pm to 6am daily until further notice.



Chukwulobelu said the state governor, Willie Obiano, has directed that civil servants in the state, from grade level one to twelve should work from home until further notice, with immediate effect.



Professor Chukwulobelu also announced other measures the state government is taking to help stop the spread of Covid-19 in the state.



“The state government has activated and made operational mobile courts to try Covid-19 protocol offenders, beginning from Monday, 8th February 2021.

Also, the state COVID-19 Task Force, including the Ministry of Health, and Ministry of Trade and Commerce have been empowered to increase their hospitals and markets surveillance, and to close immediately any hospital (private and government owned), and markets that do not comply with Covid-19 protocols in their operations”he said

A popular Abuja-based disk jockey, DJ Tunice, has died.

DJ Tunice is said to have died on Monday night, February 1 after suffering a domestic accident.




According to his close friends, the deceased was mopping the floor in his apartment when he slipped and hit his head on the ground.

He was rushed to different hospitals but was allegedly rejected until he died.

A man's skin turned yellow after decades of heavy drinking and smoking, doctors from the central Chinese city of Huai'an.

A 60-year-old man, identified only by his surname Du, was rushed to hospital in Huai'an and doctors found out that he had a giant tumour that caused his skin to turn bright yellow.

Doctors say they discovered two tumours, one of which was located in his pancreas are blocking his bile ducts.

Disturbing photos of Du show his neck and stomach turned a dark shade of yellow. He was also diagnosed with jaundice.

The tumour blocking Du’s bile duct was diagnosed as malignant, and doctors have now asked him to quit the alcohol and smoking.

A Mechanical Engineering graduate of the Delta State Polytechnic (Delta Poly), Otefe-Oghara, Delta State, Friday Abiligo Orhomre, has drowned in a river three months after he completed his compulsory national youth service programme.



It was gathered that the speedboat he was travelling in with his mother and siblings capsized in Ughoton River, Okpe Local Government Area of Delta State while they were returning from the farm.

It was further learnt that divers have begun to search the river to locate his body.

"Today I received the sudden news of your demise and till now my heart is still bleeding. O death why? Even as I can't phrase the correct words to express myself, the shock that the news of your demise has brought upon us the Ughoton people, Okpe Kingdom, Delta and Nigeria as a whole, it is indeed glaring that we just lost one of the great leaders of tomorrow to the cold hands of death," he wrote.



"Also I commiserate with the Abiligo Orhomre family over the death of our son and brother, pls accept my condolences and I pray for God to grant the soul of the faithful departed eternal rest. Rest in peace.

13 persons have been reported died in a terrible car accident that occurred in Ogodumu, along Otukpo-Adoka road in Benue State.


The accident was reportedly caused by an articulated truck that lost control and rammed into a fully loaded bus going to Abuja.


Among those reported dead were a mother and her three kids, between the ages of 3,5, and 7, who were traveling in the bus.


At least 9 other people also died in the crash and only a few passengers survived the tragic accident.
