An accident involving a trailer, an 18-seater bus belonging to GUO motors, a Sienna car, Toyota Corolla and a Toyota Matrix car occured in the early hours of Thursday, Feb. 9, on the Kara Bridge axis of Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.



According to eye witness report, the trailer rammed the vehicles from behind which led to the Toyota Matrix car falling off the bridge.

The number of casualties is currently unknown. However, the unconscious body of a hawker was seen lying on the road.

A fight has ensued betweern a commercial s3x worker and a customer who refused to pay for her service

Russian model, 37, who fell 80ft to her death from apartment during ‘sex party’ while on holiday in Phuket as police probe if she was pushed after they found hair in her hand

Thai police believe a Russian model who plunged 80ft to her death from an apartment in Phuket may have been pushed after they discovered a clump of hair in her hand.


Webcam performer Evgenia Smirnova, 37, suffered fatal head injuries and a broken leg after a fall from an eighth-floor balcony at one of the Patong resort’s residential complexes.

The Russian woman is known to have operated multiple social media accounts under different names and regularly live-streamed on an adult site until shortly before her death.

Local authorities are now carrying out a forensic analysis of the hair sample that was clasped in Smirnova’s hand to identify whom she may have grabbed onto as she fell.

Smirnova was originally from Nizhny Novgorod, but moved to the Russian capital Moscow as an adult.

She arrived in Phuket on Saturday May 25, while her body was found earlier this week in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

In the wake of the incident in the infamous Patong nightlife zone, another Russian woman Natalia Kosenkova, 35, was detained along with two men apparently on suspicion of drugs use, according to the Bangkok Post.

The detainees were named as American Jamaal Antwaun Smith, 38, and Jordanian Ahmad Radi Mustafa Alatoom, 28.

The Jordanian was held after seeking to board a flight out of Thailand following Smirnova’s death.

Reports citing police said there was evidence of a ‘sex, drugs and alcohol party’ at the Emerald Terrace condominium complex in Patong from which Smirnova fell.

Kosenkova, a model and DJ who also worked as a dental assistant, claimed today she had been released, and said Smirnova’s death was an ‘unfortunate incident’ but did not give further details.

‘The case is not complicated because we are not guilty,’ she said, adding her lawyer had instructed her not to talk in detail about the case.

‘The only thing I can say is that this was an unfortunate incident, but it was not a murder, and none of the people involved are to blame.’

Kosenkova said she had only met fellow Russian Smirnova on the night of the incident.

And she denied reports in the Thai media that the party involved sex and drugs, amid claims that condom wrappers and cannabis had been found by police.

‘I didn’t know Evgenia until that evening.

‘I didn’t know the girl, she just came to the party where we were.

‘And she called her friend [Ahmad Radi Mustafa Alatoom], who came, too, and behaved inappropriately.

‘I can say that me and my friend [Jamaal Antwaun Smith], who I have known for a long time, behaved with dignity and decency.

‘The police trust us. The police say they are not worried about us.’

She added: ‘I am just a tourist here… I’m an ordinary tourist.

‘It was a regular boozefest – someone dies here every day.’

Thai reports citing Police Major General Sermphan Sirikhon said his officers are looking at three theories – an unfortunate accident, suicide or murder.

Earlier Police Lieutenant Colonel Chomphunuch Anantayakun had said: ‘We believe that the woman might have accidentally fallen from the balcony while looking out at the view.

‘However, it could be a homicide resulting from an argument.

‘We are in the process of interrogating the people involved.

‘The hair in the woman’s hand will go through DNA testing to find who it belonged to.

”I don’t know why I went to study law” – Lawyer cries bitterly after being barred from Kanu’s trial by security operatives (Video)

A lawyer has expressed regret for studying law in Nigeria after he was barred from court during the trial continuation of the Leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu.

The trial of Kanu which held on Tuesday, Jan. 18, was again adjourned after he objected to the fresh charges brought against him by the Federal Government.

The Federal Government had filed fresh terrorism charges, increasing the initial seven counts bordering on treasonable felony and terrorism against him, to 15.

However, only the IPOB leader’s legal counsel led by Mike Ozekhome SAN, were allowed into the courtroom.


Security operatives barred other lawyers from accessing the court and they were made to wait outside in the scorching sun.

A video shared by former Chairman of NHRC, Chidi Odinkalu, showed some lawyers lashing out over double standards as anti- Kanu protesters were allowed to demonstrated within few meters of the High Court.

One of the lawyers could be heard expressing deep pain and regret over his decision to study law because people in authority act with impunity.

”I don’t know why I went to go and study law,” he said.

A Nigerian man has raised alarm after he was reportedly chased away from a branch of the Redeem Christian Church of God (RCCG) because of his full beard.

Three police officers have been confirmed dead following an accident which involved a police van. 

 

The accident reportedly occurred along Kubwa-Zuba expressway, opposite popular Gwarinpa Estate in Abuja, after the tyres of the van which had men of the Special Tactical Squad (STS) of the Nigerian Police as passengers blew out. 

 

An eyewitness told Daily Trust that the Police Hilux van suddenly veered off the road and entered the drainage where three officers among the occupants died instantly, leaving others seriously injured.

 

The eyewitness identified as Musa said; 

 

“I was about crossing to the next lane when the police escort van on speed suddenly lost control and crashed into the drainage, leaving three policemen dead."

 

Another eyewitness told the publication that he learnt the officers are escort who were heading to Kaduna for a special assignment.

 

It was gathered that some officials of the Kubwa unit command of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) and FCT Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) arrived the scene to evacuate the bodies to an undisclosed hospital.

 

FCT Police Command spokesperson, Josephine Adeh confirmed the incident and described it as a sad one. 

 

Adeh said;

A Zimbabwean sex worker has been arrested for allegedly having party with two underage boys.



The two juveniles who cannot be named due to their ages, reportedly hired 23-year-old Nothabo Sibanda on 27 December following a night out. After negotiating on a charge for her services, the three went to Nothabo’s house in Emthunzini suburb.





The three got intimate till late hours. After the boys realized it was too late for them to return home, they both decided to spend the night at the sex worker's home.



While at Nothabo's house, one of the boys' parents reportedly filed a missing person report. B-Metro reported that after the police visited the sex worker's home after being told that the boys were last seen with her.



Upon being questioned, the teenagers revealed that they had hired Nothabo for her services. She was arrested and charged with having sexual intercourse with minors.



Nothabo who has been arraigned before Western Commonage Court resident magistrate Shepherd Mnjanja, was released on free bail and remanded out of custody till Tuesday January 11 for commencement of trial.
