But the discussion is on the significance of paying the bride price as practiced today.If I have a daughter , I won't collect money before giving out in marriage,the purpose of money is to buy things, so my daughter can never be sold.
For the people that do it, good for them, but for me it's baseless and makes no sense.
They will tell you; we are not selling our daughter but they still collect money and other items.

Lovine: All the marriages joined by men are irrelevant until God joins them. Go to many homes today and see by your self what is going on, no peace and only cat and rat. They were joined by men but not God. Anything God joined will last for ever and with peace even if there are challenges, God will still see them through. Church marriages, etc are nothing until God does it.

my dear, marriage is purely physical, not spiritual. The husband and wife are the ones to involve God in their marriage. Adam and Eve were joined by God, what happened to them? Besides, God will not come down from heaven to join couples. For a marriage to work, the 2 parties involved have responsibilities. @topic, cohabiting is bad. Jesus went for a wedding at Cana where He turned water into wine. That makes me believe the importance of wedding. If you are lady and cohabiting, you are sooooo wrong. Only very few men settle down with such ladies. Let Him pay your bride price at least. As for me, take me to the altar first before i back my things to your house. And thats exactly how it happened.

very funny though.
ok, let me give a tip on how i make my favourite noodles with eggs.

step 1:
fill a kettle with about half a litre of water (depending on the size of the noodles, more noodles, more water).
allow to boil till a 100 degree celcius

step 2:
take an empty bowl,
place the noodles inside, pour the boiled water on it (make sure the water level covers the noodles),
cover the bowl with a lid or wide flat plate and allow the heat of the water to cook the noodles for about 4 minutes.

step 3:
pour the noodles with the water into a sieve so that the water can drain off the noodles,
pour the noodles into the empty bowl, (by now it will be a little bit soft, but not totally cooked),
add seasoning (noodles seasoning or any of ur choice), stir together very well
note: all of these should be done on the bowl without placing it on the fire.

step 4:
take a frying pan, place it on the fire,
pour 5-6 table spoonful of groundnut oil on it
slice half a bulb of onion, (slice fresh pepper if u like)
allow the oil to get hot (but not too hot)
pour the sliced onion into the oil and allow to fry for 3mins
pour the already seasoned noodles into the oil and allow to fry for 2mins while u stir consistently
note: u can add very little water to it so it can soften a little (but if u want it crunchy, dont add water)

step 5:
get eggs(desired no, 2,preferably)
whisk in a bowl
pour the whisked eggs into the frying noodles
allow it to fry 4 about 1min without stirring
then stir the mixture altogether

voila!!!
enjoy ur meal
