Hello house, is it possible to get canada work permit from Nigeria. A company over there is sponsoring all expense and you pay back once you get there. Please I need advice before I key into it. Tnanks

Don't ask stupid questions like this here.
It's a study permit, yes you MUST study or you won't get the right papers for the work that you want to work.
If you want to work not study, go for express entry.

Nigerians love UK because

(1) Same time except during winter when it changes for 1 hour. I am losing valuable relationships in Nigeria already because of the time difference. To comment on nairaland and respond to whatssap messages has become trouble for me.

In Canada, they even have evening classes

(2) You can travel to Nigeria from the UK without much planning and cost of travel is cheap. I was looking at return tickets from Toronto to Nigeria and I am seeing ridiculous prices. Those ones in Manitoba, newfoundland and co, na die dem dey.

(3) Cheap Nigerian food and UK is second home to Nigerians. You will see Nigerians everywhere you go in UK. If you are in some cities in Canada, you go know say na you and God alone.

(4) Weather, Weather, Weather ...

(5) Nigerian foods in UK are cheap.

(6) Ease of visa application

(6) Oh and the Almighty pounds. If you have ever earned in pounds, you will miss UK. Infact, Canadian dollars feels like naira to me. I was a big boy in UK but Canada don humble me

I suggested UK for people who have gotten delays and those with second class and third class. The route we take does not matter, so far they get to Canada.

For now, Canada is still the best and easiest to get PR for International students. Don't dull my people.

This is exactly the problem we have as Nigerians.I know few people I have helped draft letter and sop. For Godsakes Indians thrive and do well in Canada because they will always be there for each other,work as a group and move as a group and succeed as a group.
All these SOP writers last last go write rubbish for you as they don't know you and your situations wells to pen it down. I advice we read ,research and write our things. Las las Canada na write write write dey for school there.I rest my case!

Approval dropped down this morning for my hubby after 26 solid weeks! It can only be God.

Timeline:
SOWP Online Application
Applied: 26th February
Biometrics: 4th March
Upfront medical
Medical passed: 21st August
Passport request: 21st August
Application approval: 10th September

My study permit is expiring on the 21st November so I was still scared to update my e-family until today.

Lol Goodnews is on the way, September is the 9th month and also a month of delivery therefore our goodnews will be delivered this month in Jesus name.

Friends, if an applicant has received BVL for more than 2 weeks without any final decision update, what shiuld be the next step?

Application was made when processing week was 13weeks and the application is now13weeks old but the new processing time is 24weeks for Naija.

A lot of factors unknown to us add up to this processing time;

1. Don't forget that the VO handling your application has to also request for your spouse's information to be verified by other officers in Canada. While they wait for such response to their request, your application is put on hold.

2. As In-Canada students are also extending their stay, VOs in Canada are also very busy such that it takes them longer time to respond to their colleagues outside Canada.

3. Time spent to verify documents in Naija. They might have put in place a double verification method for bank statements as well due to the fake documents they received a couple of months ago.

Reviewing Drpak's application, it took 20weeks to get it approved. God help us.

@NellyKuch its strange that you did not get an email notification for that medical update though. Maybe it will come tomorrow. Please let me know if that happens.
