Hello Everyone, On my second missionary journey, please is there anyone who has just used doctoresparati ? Heard Dr Martell and Morticone are no longer with them. Will really appreciate your response. Thanks, |
Ezemistic:@Ezemistic, still waiting for your reply. Please how much did it cost in total? Do they have a package for self paying patients? |
Ezemistic:@Ezemistic, please can you provide more details. How much did it cost in total and is there an option for self paying patients. A breakdown would really be appreciated. Am interested in a VBAC. Thanks |
Tvegas:@Tvegas, I really do not want to get into these arguments just wanted to clear the air for those intending to use them. Mellissa and Rodolfo both work in the admin section of the Clinic, Rodolfo is the Director of Admissions. Just like every other clinic in the US, there are people in charge admin and records, the doctors are also on site as well. By the way, its not a big hospital like you mentioned but a clinic and if they decide to report those not turning up, I guess its their business. Now, the signing issue might be something they might need to change going forward. But if you ask me or anyone who has been there, they are not middle men. Back to silent mode. Cheers |
Mwams:I disagree with you as well. Doctores Parati are no agent linking up patients with Del so Medical center. Those of us who have used the clinic clearly understand and know the structure. There is just one clinic Eastside women's Health center affiliated to Del sol Medical center with 2 doctors. They are not middle men, Eastside is their clinic. Its quite unfortunate that things are turning this way with the VOs. I hope they make some changes with the letter of responsibility they provide to increase their credibility with VOs. By the way, am no agent. I just needed to clear this to help others who are a bit confused about doctoresparati being middle men. |
ome240: Good morning friends.@ Ome240, I also had the same issue, passport and Visa in Maiden name, letter from Doctores Para ti in my married name. Just as labella12 has adviced, you just need your marriage certificate. No need to worry ![]() |

@ lollarojo: I bought for the exact time i would be returning. I don't think its an issue except you don't intend to let them know you are coming in to have your baby. |
solidhomes: Toslad, you are very right. I hear Houston is not as cold as other parts of the US.@solidhomes, not eaten at 3:30pm Why ![]() Hope you don't wait for them to cook before you eat, hunger will show you pepper o! (lol). Why not try locating the nearest walmart even if it means taking a taxi, buy food stuffs, come back home and cook but cook enough for others to eat. Since your husband is still around he can help you with the shopping. Abeg my sister dont go on hunger strike. |
solidhomes: You are so right about how they work and the attitude of our so-called Naija relatives living in America. It's been really really boring here. And I wish my hubby had refused when his friend (whom he last saw 13 years ago) offered me accommodation and said I should not rent an extended stay apartment. I've been here 3 weeks now and I've had to put up with all sorts of rude statements.@solidhomes, you really made me laugh. Anyway its just for a few weeks. Regarding moving around, have you tried to google public or bus routes where you are staying? I also had same issues with getting around when i arrived Elpaso (purely residential area unlike Inhouse suite which is in the center of a lot of places)and my host to the best of her knowledge didn't even know buses exist in Elpaso. Google Maps had to be my best friend searching for bus routes and i found out that there are actually buses though not frequent. It could make your journey longer, but at least far better than depending on others to move around or paying so much for cabs. I move around now mostly with the buses and its not as bad as i thought initially. You could try this and see if it works for you. |
firsttimer: Hallos everyone, how are we all preparing for the xmas? May God bless us all in Jesus name. We are doing great here in El Paso, the weather is awesome even though we are in December, the shopping has also been great, the bargain has been superb. It has been everyday shopping because the stores are walking distance from Intown suites. They are doing buy one get two free@Firsttimer, ah i didnt hear of this saturday outing o. Hope you are not forgetting me at my end ? |
My People, I got into the US on wednesday via houston. I must confess it wasn't a nice experience at immigration but am so grateful to God. At first inspection, i was asked my purpose for travel. Told the guy I had come to have my baby, he asked a few questions like Doctor's letter, how much I had etc. After this I was moved to a room for secondary inspection. I waited a while before a lady attended to me. She first of all asked the usual questions like purpose, where do you work, doctor's letter and then surprisingly she asked me to hand over my handbag. Right before me, she poured out the contents of my bag and purse and started going through every sheet of paper in my bag and purse. I really don't know if to say fortunately or unfortunately for me, I find it difficult throwing receipts or small sheets of paper away and so i had in my purse all sorts of receipts especially hospital receipts (my antenatal registration, all the tests i did during antenatal) and also my hospital card and of course all these had dates and description on them. She set aside any sheet that had to do with medical information no matter how small and my ticket and told me to go back to the general room. At that point, I asked her if it was illegal to have a child in the US, she replied that it isnt illegal but it is illegal to lie. My case was a bit dicey. I wasnt pregnant when i had my interview but i took in shortly after the interview and so it was difficult establishing i wasnt pregnant. I had also gone on the trip for which i got the visa. While i waited in the general room, I overheard her calling united airline asking for my luggages. My luggages were brought in and she asked that i open them, not touching anything in them. So she began searching my bags with her colleague thoroughly for any sheet of paper. Anything relating to medical was set aside including my Scan report, my medical report from my nigerian doctor and also his notes which he allowed me to have a photocopy. And then the calculation started, luckily the photocopied notes i took from my doctor, had my LMP (which was a few days after my interview) and also my EDD. The scan i did at 30wks also had my EDD . My antenatal registration receipt was also far from the date of the interview. All the bits of information she had all added up. I had about 9000 USD which she saw while searching and asked how much it was. When she was done with her calculation, she asked for my money and counted it. At this point, she tried to explain to me that people come with documents or information which were contradictory. one says one thing and you look here you find another that says a different thing sometimes months apart. But in my case, all the information i had on me had nothing contradictory. I spent 4 grueling hours at immigration, have promised myself this will be my last time passing through Houston. For people like me who find it difficult throwing sheets of paper away please be careful as you pack. I only realized whilst she searched my purse that i had all sorts of information regarding me in my purse, never in my wildest imagination did i think i would be searched. Most importantly, never underestimate the power of prayers. Will be heading to Elpaso soon, wish all intending travellers God's favour at POE. @Salawu5: thanks a lot. |

lollarojo: Hi house,Doctoresparati would recommend only paying the obstetric fee ($2500). The enrollment fee ($150) is non refundable but any additional payment is refundable minus bank service and transaction fee ($86). |
@ beyunce: Big congrats. Favour at work |
@ All who used doctorespati or stayed in Elpaso Please how did you send back the things you bought? by Ship or air freight? Am considering buying here in nigeria instead of being stuck with only the option of air freight which is expensive. Kindly assist a sister here Please any info or advice you have regarding this would be appreciated. Thanks |
salawu5: @ Nenih....They had no issues with Madam but with the undeclared food items we had, Madam was only asked why the Choice of El-Paso and she answered that they have a five start review and that is the only Hospital willing to take her at 29 weeks that she knows off,she was also asked for the date her Visa was issued, Kindly ensure you have the medical responsibility letter and at least sum of 9,000 USD plus Credit Card and ensure you declare all food items. Thanks Salawu5 |
salawu5: Hello Ladies and Gentlemen,@Salawu5, thanks for the heads up. Please what issues exactly did they have with Madam? If I remember clearly you did mention that your wife got her visa before she took in and following enquiries made, all that would be required of you is to prove you can pay your bills without aid. Will appreciate your reply as I also got mine before i took in and Houston is also my POE. would help me prepare for myself for any possible issue(s). Thanks |
Desertorange71: firsttimer,@Desertorange71, thanks a lot for the information. Just a quick question. Did you ship or air freight the things you bought? I intend doing all my baby's shopping while in Elpaso but i havent found a shipper yet. Please any info you have regarding this would be appreciated |
salawu5: Hello Everyone,@salawu5: Thanks for the information. Guess we have to start gathering our dollars |
Good day VO, If you were given a B1/B2 visa to attend like a wedding, off which you have gone and come back and at the time the visa was issued you werent pregnant. Can the same visa as long as its still valid be used if you desire to have your baby in the US. Is there anything that should be done in order to avoid issues at POE? Please your advice is needed. Thanks |
emispackage: My husband panicked too cos he was outside wit the husband of the lady to be deported. He said she was heavy wen they went for the interview. They didn't ask them if she was pregnant, that they just asked if they wld receive medicals wen they traveled and they said they had not decided yet. The custom guys just came out to tell him that his wife wld be deported. He wasn't even allowed to communicate wit his wife. He was just asked to go. I felt for him o! U guys need to see the relieve on my hubby's face wen I came out! Choi... it wasn't a pleasant experience. I tell u. Well God is faithful. For those going, just pray! God has neva failed.@emispackage: I can imagine how relieved you are. Thank God |
emispackage: Good day guys... just got into houston. mehn, it was hectic. Came in with my husband. He was stamped in without stress. For me, they took me into a room for questioning o. As I told the guy I was pregnant. It was a terrifying one, esp as I saw a pregnant nigerian woman they were sending back. After waiting for a while, I was asked my intentions again. And was advised to stay away from any form of Govt funding and to keep all my receipts. With wat I experienced today, I don't think going wit ur husband changes anytin o. Cos the nigerian lady was there wit her husband too. He was stamped in but was told the they wld be deporting his wife back. Good luck to all the peeps traveln soon....cheersNa wa for Houston, this calls for serious prayer and fasting for those of us that have bought our tickets. @Emispackage, thanks for sharing with us. Please what issues did they have with you considering you told the truth during your interview. Any idea of the issues they had with the other lady? Please can you give more details if you can? |
debodudu: Hello all,Chect hardeymijuh's previous posts sometime this month. She gave a detailed explanation on the cost for MIHS |
estrellaycocina: I would not worry about that nenih. I had my baby in El Paso (doctoresparati.com) and there were 9 women from Nigeria at the same time I was there... As someone else mentioned earlier, they even put us in contact with each other! We all went out to eat several times, also, we were all staying in the same hotel. As everybody else has mentioned the experience with them was grade A and Im sure you too will enjoy your stay. They go way beyond just the medical service. Good luck and say hi to Dr. Martell for me!Thanks estrellaycocina forevermine: Hello house. Pls I have an enquiry to make and it's kinda urgent, so I'd appreciateany useful response, especially from anyone who's had a similar experience. Pls is it necessary to change my maiden name(surname) to my husbands , on my international passport? Does this mean I will be issued a new passport entirely or js a modification of the datapage of my current passprt( as I have evidence of travels on my current passport, though there's no valid visa). If I do,Will this affect my visa application(eg it may nt correspond wt d name on my bank statement, if I'm using mine) .also wen applying for the baby's passport in usa, will bearing my maiden name(in d event that I dnt change d passport) affect this? Pls I need clarification on what to do pertaining this situation. Thanks a bunch.I also have a similar issue. My current passport with visa is currently in my maiden name. wondering if the baby's birth certificate and other docs would also bear my maiden name should i travel with this passport. |
@ All Anyone considering Elpaso for December ? |
doted: Hello Dancewith/All,@doted, Am also interested in any info you might have about Dallas. I contacted John Peter Smith and Parkland. Even though I never mentioned in my email that I am currently abroad, Parkland replied saying they focus only on providing care to the residents of Dallas County, Texas and wouldn't be accepting international patients at this time. John Peter Smith gave a more favourable reply, below is the agreement sent to me by JPS. Am still searching for other options, not due till Feb next year so still got a little bit of time. I understand that the Obstetrical Care Program offered by John Peter Smith Hospital includes the facility fees only and is available to self pay patients when no third party coverage is available. 2. I understand that the Obstetrical Care Program includes the following services only: a. Routine prenatal clinic visits from date of enrollment. b. Hospital charges for standard laboratory and sonograms from the date of enrollment. c. Hospital charges from emergency services in the emergency room at the time of delivery. d. Hospital charges for normal, uncomplicated delivery and post partum care up to two (2) days of hospitalization or up to four (4) day of hospitalization care for C-Section. e. Hospital charges for term nursery care for the infant(s) up to two (2) days of hospitalization or up to four (4) days of hospitalization care for C-Section. f. Hospital charges for one six-week check up after delivery for mother and infant. g. Hospital charges for materials and service which are not included in the Obstetrical Care Program shall be determined solely by John Peter Smith Hospital. 3. I understand that the following charges are NOT included in the program and that I am fully responsible for these separately billed services. a. ALL Physician fees, such as, Obstetrician, Pediatrician, Anesthesiologist, Radiologist, Pathologist and Emergency Physician. b. ALL outpatient pharmacy fees. c. Hospital charges for emergency service visits including OB Triage. d. Charges for elective procedures, ie. Alpha Feto Protein. 4. I understand that the Hospital reserves the right to cancel the Obstetrical Care Program agreement and I will be financially responsible for all charges for services rendered. The following are the situations which may result in the cancellation of the agreement: a. The total cost is not paid in full prior to the beginning of the ninth (9) month. b. The patient stays more than two (2) days for routine delivery or four (4) days for C-Section. 5. I understand that if the agreement is canceled, all payments made toward the agreement will be applied to the charges for services rendered. 6. I understand that if the agreement is canceled due to patient choice to utilize another facility, that payments made under this agreement will be applied to the normal hospital charges for services rendered up to the date of cancellation and that I am responsible for any balance remaining on the account. 7. I understand that should my financial classification change and if the amount I have paid exceeds that amount due under the new classification, the hospital will NOT refund the difference. I hereby request enrollment in the Obstetrical Care Program at John Peter Smith Hospital effective today and I understand and accept the conditions stated above. _______Routine Delivery (2 Days) $2,500 plus an additional $600.00 per additional day in the hospital _______Planned C-Section (4Days) $3,500 plus an additional $600.00 per additional day in the hospital The additional fee for an unplanned C-Section must be paid within three months after the delivery. |

Why
. Carters is doing 60% off and you earn $10 for every $50 you spend in the store. We have been going out together, having fun, helping each other and I am planning all day outing for all mothers to-be this Saturday. Will try to post pictures. Wishing everyone Merry Xmas and Happy new year in advance. One Love.
