You obviously don't understand rule of law.
It is the duty of the accused to defend themselves by every means
at their disposal but an equally smart government will know how to
prosecute successfully.

Instead of formally charging the accused and presenting law-acceptable
evidence, the EFCC is busy seeking for order to keep accused in custody.

Even if they are remanded for a hundred years they are still innocent
without conviction.

Get this clear today, civil Justice is not about what you feel,
it is about listening to both sides and determining who is right.

But if you think , judgement should be delivered based on sentiment,
I am sorry to tell you that it won't work in a civillized society, only in
a jungle.

Because we do not want western capitalization of our industrial sector. America want to control the industrial sector. Welcome to Neo-colonialism. So America gets to dictate when we can have light or not. No way. We will rather be like this than have a repeat of Imperial control. Africans are becoming more aware. We have been suffering for 300 years. No one cared. Suddenly everyone is on our case. He should mind his business and figure out how Americans would free themselves from the current slavery they face currently from their founding industrialists' legacies.
We would rather be in darkness and quench of hunger than give America control over how and what we eat or over how we work, who works and how much we get paid. We will define our economy.

Murder is murder in any context and it is not a bailable offence. Please note that all killings are not murder. Manslaughter and second degree homicide are not murder. Those are the ones you may get bail for not murder.
Kindly quote the section of the constitution that back up your claim.

It appears you are confusing being charged with murder and being convicted
of one.

The law has no interest in keeping anyone in jail except there is a genuine reason for it
(e.g being a threat or possibility of absconding).

You cannot punish an accused for a crime he/she is yet to be convicted of.

Anybody with money traced to his account and the money belong to the govt should not be granted bail.

This one that Saraki is going to court with 400 lawyers and FBI over loots.

Meanwhile a guy stole 6 goats in the same Ilorin and was beaten to death.

Please save me the one sided fight crap l, if PDP and Jonathan have been doing 1 sided fight against corruption since they came to power at least Tinubu and co would av been jailed and finished their jail term if he was truelly a thief.
You are obviously ignorant and your mentality is only good
for the jungle.

When does transferring money from government to companies
or individuals becomes a crime ?

I am sure it is this kind of belief that is making EFCC not to have
a headway.

You can't charge someone for collecting money for a service,
you can only charge them for not delivering.

Accused murderers and armed robbers are not entitled to bail. So, Falana is only advocating we treat people accused of corruption similarly. Looking at the level of corruption in the system, I don't think it's a bad idea. We need to start fighting corruption with all seriousness and not with kid gloves.
That is not entirely true in reality,
Some armed robbery and murder suspects do get bail once
in a while.
It is all about context, you can't treat a man who killed another
while fighting the same way you treat an hired assassin , that will be injustice.

Dictatorship is far better form of government than democracy if the state wants rapid development. The problem is, it is always difficult to find a patriotic, intelligent, pragmatic, well intentioned and selfless dictator. The few countries like Singapore that have been fortunate to have dictators with these characteristics are great countries today. But the problem is, almost all dictators are selfish, corrupt, intellectually poor and self centred. The good ones are rear to find.
We all know that most dictators are self-serving megalomaniacs who play god with the lives of their citizens.

Who will want to gamble their life on the chance that the "dictator" will be benevolent ?

It is interesting to note that the singaporeans were not campaigning to have a dictator installed,
in fact lee kuan yew was democratically elected.

Since humans always have the tendency to abuse power , it turns out that the most important ingredient of a successful government is self-regulation.

Any system of government which doesn't have it will fail, but democratic system have more chance of attaining
self-regulation than others.

In circumstances like this, do you want to know the difference between this administration and the last one?

Under PMB: An investigation would be ordered and NNPC would be made to come out clean and explain the exact reason they aren't remitting funds. If their explanations don't hold water, they would be made to submit the funds.

Under GEJ: Upon hearing this story, GEJ in his unusually paranoid ways would quickly jump into defensive mode by becoming the spokesperson of NNPC. He would swiftly grant an interview where he would claim the report was generated by his political opponents to 'embarrass' his government; he would do this even before carrying out an investigation.
The same investigation that happened to the padded budget ?

Luring investors? You do not lure investors, they beg to come. Iran is not begging investors and yet many of them are lined up to invest in Iran after the sanctions has been lifted.

China did not need to lure US investors before they closed shop in the US and opened same in China. Once you put in place infrastructure and conducive corruption free business environment, foreign investors will troop in. It was corruption that drove the likes of virgin airlines, Vodafone, Siemens, etc, away.

The Nigerian business environments is too cumbersome and difficult for genuine foreign investor.
Iran had better tighten their forex or those investors will soon wreck Iran.

Bro, Do you know that passion-seasoned love is actually the rationale behind some people sticking with a partner despite the partner's many shortcomings? When you love someone passionately, infinitesimal wrongs and even mammoth wrongs are played down and overlooked. Not because the person is too fragile to walk away, but because there is a deeper part of that person that is rooted in the other party. the passion you described that fades in month is mere infatuation. when it comes to true and refined love, The passion burns like an inferno which cannot be tamed easily.
Passion is temporal , that is a fact.

Only pragmatic consideration counts for long term relationship.

One will think couples who are "in love" with each other and
have being together for years before getting married will have
the greatest stability in marriage, but that appears not to be
the case in reality.

There is a reason some countries have nuclear and chemical biological weapons in their possession but yet do not want other countries to develop the same. There is a reason why some countries are almost permanently rich and others are permanently poor. Have you ever heard or read about the WTO? They have already designed the templates that will force Africa to remain dirt poor for the next 500 years. Portfolio investors are profit seekers not "investors".

Actually, they do.

The problem is if you devalue, you would spend more in naira for imported goods. Even for goods produced locally , you would spend more in naira because most of them depend on imported raw materials. This leads to price increases and inflation.

And it won't imporve our forex earnings....it would deplete them. Even if you bring in more foreign investors....they would set up manufacturing plants that rely on imported raw materials.....and that means more forex loss.

Eventually....you would have to take loans to keep things working...and we would be back to being a debt slave.

Yes...devaluation is going on....but the CBN is applying the brakes...while hoping the government gets alternative sources of forex.

You did not have this issue in the last govt because oil prices were high...meaning forex flowed into the country.Meaning...we had enough forex to import and do business. Not anymore.
This is meaningless in the current scheme of things, FG is to borrow billions of dollars to finance budget,
a government that is afraid of debt won't do such.
But I am not surprised by your response, since all you do is rationalise every government policy even
if it is incompatible with the stance of the FG itself.

Must we devalue our naira for you guys? Must we create an avenue where you invest and syphon back into your country? Because that is all you wanted!

To invest cheap and reap bountifully only for your to develop your land. You send returns and profits back to your parent company in your various countries and pay stipends as taxes here.

You disregard out citizens and strip is of our natural resources.

You take advantage of the greediness of the youths caused by laziness and use them against their own and yet with nothing to show to the host community.

Why do we have to devalue the naira with no source of supporting the economy with industrialization that may help to replenish the depleting reserve thru exportation?

You want us to use more money indirectly to buy products that you produce while you pay less to produce it!

It's that simple!
With this kind of thinking, one will think Buhari will shut all doors to foreign investors
but he isn't doing that , probably he is not as smart as you are.

I have never come across any investor(foreign or local) whose aim is not to make profit.

What Buhari is doing can be regarded as aggressive marketing. He is aggressively putting Nigeria in the faces of all Nations he has visited and will visit and this is laudable because in many countries there are people who either know nothing about Nigeria or only know about its negative tendencies as depicted by their media because bad news sells.

One of the key instruments to development is stable and adequate power and nuclear power generation is key to this.

Nigeria aims to build two 1000MWe nuclear plants for starters and this is a great move. Those who think we are not ready for nuclear power should go and ask india why they did it when they were also thought to be "not ready".

Nuclear energy isnt the monopoly of any nation as all they can do is regulate. If Nigeria wanted to be stubborn all we have to do is go to russia and contract them to build nuclear reactors for us here and russia would gladly do so because they are open to doing that for countries who require it. Even ordinary vietnam is about to commence the cobstruction of theirs through russia so why can't we?

I APPLAUD THE PRESIDENT OF NIGERIA FOR THIS BOLD MOVE. NO NATION BECOMES GREAT WITHOUT RISKS BEING TAKEN.
You must be joking!
Imagine you own a company and your manager travels a lot instead of sitting down to run the company
as if that is not enough everywhere he goes he tell people how corrupt your company is.
Are you going to give him award for "aggressive marketing" or fire him ?
