I have been hustling abroad for a few years while wifey was working in Nigeria and living with children. Marriage has always been turbulent and we even almost got divorced after I travelled out. We somehow worked on our issues with the help of pastors, family and friends, and after a few years of ''roughing'' it abroad to pave way for them, I finally succeeded and my family arrived a few months ago.

I used to be hot tempered, but I have had enough time to gain insight into my inadequacies and reflect on them. I am now significantly calmer due to the determination to make my marriage better and as per ''abroad levels''. My wife on the other hand is fully taking advantage of me and the environment we find ourselves in. First thing she did on getting here was to cut of my entire family. She said she doesn't want to have anything to do with any of them anymore. She has also not been too keen to kickstart her career, as all she does is endless picture taking and editing for social media hyping. I know this might be due to the initial ''euphoria'' phase cos she is coming abroad to a big house, big car and having no limits on most things we used to manage back in Nigeria, and she thinks things are bread and butter. You would never think for a second that she is a married woman if you check her profiles on social media!

She has become even more toxic person than she ever was in Naija. Now very bossy, never backs down, always the attacker, ever ready for a fight, lazier, always on social media, communicates with me as little as possible, embarrasses me in the neighbourhood with the constant noises from our house, and finally her threats have now tripled! Madam is now so fierce that I have become the house chicken. Just within a few months of being here o! She tells me that she will show me for all the ''gra gra'' I used to do back in Nigeria. Friends advised me against bringing this woman here but I no wan hear word as per responsible family man wey I dey claim to be.

The popular threat is usually ''I will end your career''. I wasn't taking this too seriously initially, but she then started following through with the threats by constant calls to the police and other services, making spooky and baseless career ending accusations and allegations against me.

I have never been the one to first lay my hands on her, but I have spilled drinks on her before when she attacked me. My wife now gets very physical without having any element of self control, fear or restraint after the simplest argument and sometimes, she damages things out of anger. She does this so often and never hesitates to dare me to do my worst.

I discovered that she has signed up on dating sites and when I even caught her chatting about sex to a particular guy in our area, she said that it was all my fault. She did not apologise for this. She even referred to it one time after an argument that if I am convulsing like this over just a sex chat, she's waiting to see what I'd do when I see a man on top of her.

My productivity at work has declined significantly and I am now on the verge of depression. Neighbours called the police on us one time after a lot of noise from out house. She accused me of domestic violence. The police had to separate us and I was stuck at home for an extended period and could not go to work due to this. I am now being investigated for domestic violence, which is a serious crime as madam wants it and I have had to report the situation to my company! The whole thing is so messy that I am scared that I have not seen the worst yet.

I am so afraid of losing it all and returning to Nigeria broke cos I spent my last card and even racked credit card debt to bring them here hoping to pay off gradually. I still have a few years to get my citizenship and if I lose my job now, that is the end for all of us!

For now, I don't know what is going to happen to us, as this woman is so determined to cause great and irreparable damage that could ruin our lives, just to get back at me and she is being cheered on by her family and friends.

THE SITUATION IS SO MESSED UP!

Divorce has now been filed. I also recently got lucky as I was able to secure a restraining order when she messed up again and hit me daring me to do my worst. I called the police and made a proper case and she was arrested. She has been banned from the house for a month. The police advised me to talk to my lawyer and extend indefinitely if I want to. I hope to get this done ASAP. The law here does not only protect women but also protects innocent men. All you need is patience and wisdom. Thank you all for your ideas. Still several hurdles to cross but I am on the winning side for now.

20% of social media users and shoppers heve been scammed at one point or the other, either large bucks or small money & its quite painful.

Many, people dont always know what to do when you realize a page you paid for a, a service or goods is ghosting you.

No 1. screen shot all previous chats across all messaging app ( Twiitter, Instagram, Whatsapp, Facebook etc).

2. Write out the full name and account of the page or person.

3. Go to the last notification your bank send you after you do the payment ( Through mobile App or text message)

4 Copy out the transaction ID number

5. Go to any branch of the scammer bank ( The bank the scammer uses- the one you send money to).Ask to see the customer service in charge of fraud.

6. If you can, print out all those chats with the scammer ans submit it.
While you are at the bank, send an email to scammer's bank and copy CBN fraud desk (@anticorruptionunit@cbn.gov.ng) this go ginger.

7. Wetin You go expect grom this be say;
The scammer account go dey placed on hold/freeze. Meaning he/she no go fit transfer or withdraw until they visit the bank and proven guilty with your evidences.

He /She will sign waiver allowing the bank to refund You Your money.

Last night, I was chatting with a lady on whatsapp, she was telling me about how she called her boyfriend and how she was snubbed by him. So in a bid to give her possible reasons why he could have snubbed her – I surprisingly came up with 10 reasons. So I decide to share it here on Nairaland.

Okay. Reasons why a guy could possibly snub a girl (supposed girlfriend☺️). Make sure you don’t miss no 5, 8 and 9.

1. You are not the only one on his radar
He has somebody else he really likes. He probably has somebody he is hitting on. In cases like this, he will always try as much as possible to keep you in case. All of a sudden, He may eventually come back being responsible, trust me, you are the 2nd choice and if 1st choice is available again, he mayn’t hesitate. I once saw a movie, a guy was really in love with Lady X, but lady X didn’t like him. He tried all he could, He bought gifts, tried hard – it didn’t work. He eventually dated another girl, Lady Y and still didn’t give up on Lady X because he genuinely liked her– Men-as-cum.

2. He is too busy
He is busy with something, probably his work (if he has one). This doesn't affirmatively mean he has another girl but some guys don't know how to handle work pressure with talking, calling and chatting a girl regularly. This happens to me at times, but I don't snub, I'll only make my feelings known and the concerned party understands. My work requires critical thinking and has a lot of deadlines. So most time I am always thinking about beating deadlines and coming up with accurate discussions for scientific papers for my clients and once I am done working – the lovie-dovie continues.

3. He needs your help
He's going through something at the moment but nevertheless, if a guy really likes a girl, he will never hesitate to speak to his girl on the issue. I believe relationship has to do with openness. If a partner does not feel secure around you – there is a fire on the mountain – He is probably not completely soluble in your love. Some hide under the “I don’t want to bother you” umbrella, if you can successfully get him to speak, you are good to go.

4. You have offended him.
You should probably retrace your steps back to when last you were both cool and apologize for any wrongs. But if this has always been like that, this leads to no 5.

5. He doesn't like you
Maybe you were the one that asked him out, if No, he doesn't like you again. Also, there are some cases where a guy will toast a girl for fun, like just to play around, it happens mostly on WhatsApp, some girls do say yes. In this case, the guy won't eject the girl easily – but the love is not there – some guys would want to just take advantage and then clean mouth. Something similar happened to me on this year's April fool's day, I asked a friend out, I really pressed her, I told her about how I had been keeping the feeling it to myself – she said, I was late that I should have told her earlier – she tried to pacify me cos she felt broken – maybe. I had to tell her later that night that it was April fool’s day, she pretended like it was cool - bottom line, she has blocked me ever since and we were very good friends� (If she had agreed and we continued, she might end up being snubbed by me from time-to-time because there is no genuine love)

6. He is a Psycho
He is probably a psycho - psychos are always confused and they don't know what they really want. One time, they just want to talk to you, chat with you or play with you, another time, he just flips.

7. Low self-esteem
He probably has low self-esteem. Some guys feel like they are no match to their girl. Some guys feel bad because they have not been a real man for their girl, probably financially.

8. He is incapable of love.
For some guys, Love is an unattainable height – some guys are WAR – some are FIGHT – some are INDABOSKY.

9. Maybe you stalk him too much.
You probably stalk him too much. Some girls actually stalk their guys too much. Some always want to call their guys almost every hour, chat with their guy every time possible. Some guys prefer to just chat with their girl at least just once per day and they are cool. This doesn’t mean the love they have for their girl is not real. A guy can actually be in premium contact with you regularly and still cheat on you exclusively perfectly.

10. He is not mentally fit
Some girls are drama queens – some guys don’t have what it takes to contain their outburst. Some girls are virulent in nature, so most guys can’t handle the virulence – with time, some develop resistance and do not get affected by the drama again while some just chicken out by breaking up or by not giving the attention that you deserve.
