chukkystar:ok but do you own one?. I think its more of a fear for substandard products than tribalism. It would take some time to convince people with purchasing power to buy nigerian when trusted brands are readily available. |
You can checkout eazyerrand.com they are cheap but only in lagos now |
The problem most Nigerian ecommerce startups have when dey launch is choosing between pay on delivery model or pay before delivery model. If you choose POD you must be ready to exchange words with degenerate customers and useless courier companies, there will be many returns by the way. Pay before delivery filters all that none sense some will argue that you have less customers but I think its less unserious and dubious customers. You can try the pay half now complete payment upon delivery model. |

So you bought those original leather shoes from gidicart and you want to care for them properly after the days use. Well here are some tips (Storing) 1--Leather shoes need love and care (sounds corny) it’s the truth, The most important tip never store wet shoes, let shoes dry at their own speed and always store at room temperature to avoid material deterioration after a long day of wearing your leather shoes the first thing to do is stuff the insides with old newspaper (Punch or Guardian they only report bad news anyway) to maintain the shape, avoid wrinkles and creases and absorb some of the moisture. 2--After that clean the shoes with a soft rag before storing on the rack, store away from direct heat or cold. Heat can make leather crack and loosen the adhesives used to build it. 3--Don’t wrap in a plastic bag or poly bag for long, leather needs to breathe so as not to get disfigured, store in a soft cloth bag like the ones we get as souvenirs at owambe parties but a little lighter. 4--To keep boots or high tops from wrinkles/creases insert an empty wine bottle upside down into the boots then stand the bottle properly so that the boots are upside down this helps to keep the shape of the boots neck 5--If you are not going to be wearing the shoes in a long time say a month then put it under the bed or in your wardrobe but be sure to clean it with a rag or brush from time to time to prevent dust from discoloring the leather 6--Applying polish to your shoes before storing isn’t a bad idea if you use them often and they need to be ready on the go and all you need do is shine them with your brush. (Cleaning) 7--For suede brush off dirt with a brush, clean marks with your pencil eraser and spray with your spray polish never clean with water or wax polish. For patent leather rub with little Vaseline, kerosine might give it an unwanted odour For your normal leather shoes clean the shoes with a damp rag (not dripping wet unless you really must) and let it dry 8--Apply enough polish on the shoes and let them dry for 5-10 minutes. 9--Shine with your shoe brush to remove the excess polish 10--This last step takes some time and is for Gentlemen who need that extra shine on the Toe and heel, dip some cotton wool in water and squeeze so its damp and there isn’t any excess moisture, oya "dab" in some polish and rub the heel and toe in a circular motion. Repeat steps 9 and 10 using new cotton wool until you are satisfied. Remember if you can, try not to repeat the same pair everyday so they last longer. This was brought to you by the gidicart eCommerce Lagos team. #bynaijatogrowthenaira |

Moses simon is the only one doing it it for me no other player is adventurous efe ambrose tried it i think everybody is playing safe musa is disappointing first first touches are poor for a winger, iheanacho is a looming danger as well as odion, mikel dey suprise me (in a good way) but nigerias problem is mostly midfield no ginger ginger midfielders very slow midfielders if Egypt scores in their next counter attack it'll be bad for nigeria |
AudreyTimms give us something to wet our beaks now I feel like a junky looking for a fix ![]() You have some nice insight about guys judging from your felix character is that also from personal experience |
Mekyno:How are we going to win when our model of football is faulty at the foundation, no standard watchable league all our players are scattered in various teams in europe, not enough important friendly matches that can test the players in summary i think nigerias football future lies in players that play together often (this helps in developing a playing pattern) stephen keshi was trying in this aspect but i dont believe in oliseh too maybe as time goes on sha |
