Signs of the End Times Jesus gave the greatest list of the signs of the times that would be occurring prior to His return to the earth. The Olivet Discourse is known as the single, longest and greatest prophecy of the end of the age in the Bible and since Jesus Himself gives it, we can certainly know that it is accurate. His disciples had just come out of the temple with Christ and they had commented on the majesty of the temple, but Jesus instead turned their attention to the end time events that would occur just prior to His return. In Matthew 24:3 the disciples asked Jesus a very pointed question of “ what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age? " Many of these prophecies have already been fulfilled. In Matthew 24, Jesus gives us these signs that we are living in the last days. “Jesus answered: “ Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many" (v 4-5). There have been no shortages of fanatics claiming to be Jesus, even in the 1st Century. “Y ou will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains " (v 6- . Once more, these have been already occurring and at an ever increasing rate. The number of earthquakes and famines that follow war are growing exponentially, but a sober warning from Jesus is that He says that “ these are (only) the beginning ."Jesus continues by prophesying, “At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold " (v 10-12). Many have turned their back on God, on believing in a God, on church attendance, and have began to hate one another instead of Christ’s command to love one another and become lukewarm not only for Christ but for other people (1 Cor 13, John chapters 15-17, Rev 3:14-19). “As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 38 For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; 39 and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man" (v -37-39). |

Police in Indianapolis, capital of Indiana in the United States have launched a manhunt for the killer of a Nigerian pastor, Oluwadayomisi Epenusi. The 66 year old Nigerian was shot to death at the weekend at an apartment complex near 10th Street and I-465 on the city’s west side. Friends and neighbors said Epenusi, had only recently moved to Indiana from Nigeria where he worked as a pastor. Neighbors say they heard a series of gunshots early Saturday morning. “I heard about 15 gunshots. It was nuts,” said neighbor Kristina Teague Teague called 911, but by the time police arrived the victim had run back to his apartment and a roommate then drove the bleeding man to Eskenazi Hospital where the 66-year-old died, unable to explain to his roommate what led up to the shooting. “The roommate said when he was on the way he asked him what happened and why he got shot, but the man couldn’t say nothing because he was still in pain,” said Moshood Kafaru. Kafaru moved to the United States from Nigeria , as did the victim who worked as a pastor. “He was just a nice person who would go to work and come home and go to church. He didn’t talk to nobody. He never bothered nobody,” said Kafaru. Police don’t know for sure, but Kafaru believes the violence started as a robbery. “He was holding a purse. He refused to let it go. They thought he had money in the purse, but he didn’t want to let it go,” said Kafaru. A large group of Nigerians live in the apartment complex and those that knew Epenusi say he had been working hard to help his kids to move to the United States. “They just got a visa. That why he was working, so his family can come over here,” said Kafaru. “He was just an innocent man and it just upsets me that he’s gone just like that.” “It’s really sad because he was here sending money to his family,” said Teague. source: http://ionigeria.com/66-years-old-nigerian-pastor-epenusi-killed-us/

There are numerous Scriptures that declare sex before marriage to be a sin (Acts 15:20; 1 Corinthians 5:1; 6:13, 18; 10:8; 2 Corinthians 12:21; Galatians 5:19; Ephesians 5:3; Colossians 3:5; 1 Thessalonians 4:3; Jude 7). The Bible promotes complete abstinence before marriage. Sex between a husband and his wife is the only form of sexual relations of which God approves (Hebrews 13:4).

A pastor in Ghana is set to hold a Thanksgiving service in order to celebrate Chelsea football club after their premier league title win. This is really serious… Their fans in England have credited their performance to the tactical brilliance of Italian coach Antonio Conte and the skills of players such as Eden Hazard and N’golo Kante, they have also planned to revel in the success by participating in their title procession through the streets of London. However, their Ghanaian counterparts have come up with a novel way to celebrate the title triumph by holding a thanksgiving church service on June 4 in Accra. A flyer for the church service which comes off at the Living Streams International Church behind the La Trade Fair Centre urges all Chelsea fans to come to the venue wearing their jerseys. It also invites fans of their rivals including Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham to join them at the church service. source: http://nigeriana.org/news/african-news/ghana-pastor-chelsea-fans-ghana-hold-thanksgiving-service-celebrate-chelsea-title-win/

Mrs Ayopo Adeyemi, a dermatologist has warned women against the use of heavy makeup, saying it aggravates skin problems. Adeyemi said on Monday in Lagos that the use of heavy makeup could lead to skin irritation, allergies and even skin cancer. She said that excessive makeup was usually used by women to cover skin problems like pimples, allergies, patches, scars, dark circles, boils and wrinkles. The expert, however, warned that this could aggravate the problems if care is not taken. Adeyemi added that the harmful effects of makeup were not limited to skin related issues, but also varieties of other health challenges. “Lipsticks, Kajal sticks and eye-shadows, for example, are known to contain lead, carcinogen and neurotoxin that can affect the nervous system adversely, leading to high blood-pressure, allergies, behavioural abnormalities and even decreased rates of fertility.” She explained that some chemical preservatives used in many cosmetics were hazardous. ” Using too much product on your skin will eventually further the wrinkles, lines and spots you are attempting to conceal, and ultimately make you look older than you actually are,” she said. The dermatologist said that it was imperative that makeup enthusiasts indulge in proper cleaning regime to remove all traces of chemicals from the skin. “There are plenty of face washes, cleansers and scrubs available in the market to choose from.” She advised women to use natural facial treatments like cucumber, tomatoes, honey, eggs instead of using unsafe product source http://www.vanguardngr.com/2017/04/beware-heavy-makeup-causes-cancer/
