lnnoson should step up his game.
He should do more in his quality assurance testing before releasing his vehicles into the market to avoid things like this.

NAN reports that this is the second time the agency would be rejecting Innoson’s vehicles due to either non-compliance with specifications or mechanical fault.

Gov. Udom Emmanuel has already tackled and fixed the issue of power transmission before applying for the license to distribute power in the state.

Akwa Ibom State has been generating power since 2007 from the Ibom IPP at Ikot Abasi which is managed by Ibom Power Company Ltd.

When Udom came in, he realized that the power generated by Ibom Power Company was not properly off-taken by the Transmission Company of Nigeria due to a lack of transmission infrastructure, so Udom took responsibility to construct the following power transmission infrastructure:

1. the 132/33KV and 2 X 60MVA transmission substation at Ekim, Mkpat Enin Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, which was commissioned by VP Yemi Osibanjo on Saturday, September 21, 2019.

2. A brand new 33/11KV, 2 X 15MVA substation at the Victor Attah int'l airport, Uyo to provide dedicated grid power supply to the state-owned Victor Attah International Airport with a dedicated 33kv line from Ibom Tropicana.

3. he also built a brand new 33/11KV, 2 X 15MVA injection sub-station in Gen. Edet Akpan Avenue in Uyo.

4. Governor Emmanuel also collaborated with TCN to upgrade and commissioned a 132/33KV, 1 x 60MVA transformer at Afaha Ube in Uyo.

5. He also built a dedicated 33kv line to the four points by Sheraton in Ikot Ekpene and Ibom icon hotel and golf resort at Nwaniba, Uyo.

6. He has linked several communItIes that were hitherto not linked to the national grid, and his efforts to link the remaining communities are ongoing.

All these have been completed and commissioned while the one in Oron town and the other one in Etim Ekpo LGA are ongoing.

Governor Udom Emmanuel has invested more in power than any other state governor in Nigeria today.

SmartPolician:
The entire value chain of Nigeria's energy mix (generation, transmission, and distribution) has to be unbundled for us to experience significant progress in electricity.

Unfortunately, what Ibom Utility Company plans to do is not different from what Eko Electric, EDDC, PHEDC, etc, are currently doing. Nigeria has enough distribution companies. The areas we lag behind are generation and mostly transmission.

We generate over 10k megawatts and distribute a little over 4k megawatts because we don't have the necessary transmission infrastructure. According to findings, the excess power we aren't able to evacuate leads to national grid collapse.
PoliticsRe: Akwa Ibom Become The First State To Get Approval To Distribute Electricity.. Pho by nesphil(m): 5:59pm On Jan 21, 2023
May God Almighty continue to bless our dear State Akwa Ibom with patriotic, dedicated, selfless, sincere, smart, intelligent, visionary, and hardworking leaders.

Well done Governor Udom Emmanuel, your investments in the power sector will begin to yield fruits now.

Now Ibom Utility Company Ltd can take the power generated by Ibom Power Company Ltd and distribute it to the good people of Akwa Ibom State without necessarily waiting for Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company(PHEDC) again.

Indeed, Gov. Udom Emmanuel is a silent achiever!

Now that Akwa Ibom State has broken this jinx, other states can follow suit if only they have their own state power generation company like Akwa Ibom State nnyin grin

Ilaumoh:
Breaking news:
1. The Commission has approved the application from Ibom Utility company to operate an independent electricity distribution network license which will enable Ibom Utility Company to distribute electricity in selected locations in Akwa Ibom state.
2. The Commission similarly approved the application for an amendment of the on-grid electricity generating license to enable Ibom Power Company Ltd to embed into the distribution network of Ibom utility company limited.

Seventeen passengers were crushed to death in a fatal accident involving an 18-seater bus belonging to Akwa Ibom Transport Company (AKTC).

GRASSROOT REPORTERS gathered that only one passenger survived the accident which took place last night, January 20, 2023.

The only survivor of the accident, Idorenyin Daniel, said she sat in the front seat with driver but the driver could not make it.

Eyewitnesses told our correspondent that the bus lost control and summersaulted several times.

Most of the victims of the accident had their body parts severed.

The bus was heading to Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital.

The colorful campaign also had a parade horses and camels all arrayed in beautiful attires as party faithful sang victory songs ahead of the presidential election scheduled for February 25th 2023.

Hahaha...
Look at ignorant talking.
Your comments make me know that don't anything about Akwa Ibom State.

Let me educate you man, Akwa Ibom State is one of the very few states in Nigeria that spreads development across the entire state.

Apart from Uyo, cities, and towns like; Eket, Ikot Ekpene, Oron, Ikot Abasi, Abak, Nung Udoe, Ibeno, and Etinan looks better than the towns that you have in other states.

ikot Ekpene looks better than places like Orlu, Okigwe, etc in your lmo State. grin

I can bet you that, the first day that you come to Akwa Ibom either through Aba or Umuahia, you'll mistake Ikot Ekpene for Uyo if you don't look at the signages. grin grin

So you're very wrong to say that Akwa Ibom development is concentrated on Uyo alone.

This is ikot Ekpene:

You know just like Owerri, Enugu, Port Harcourt, Uyo city was given 100% attention, especially infrastructures, all development is centered in Uyo the state capital.

But Deta has Asaba,,. Warri, Agbor,. Etc

Stop spewing trash and face the reality which is the fact that Uyo is better Asaba in all ranifications

If you go to Youtube to look for Asaba videos all you will see is not different from the one the OP uploaded here.

The infrastructure in Uyo are far more better than the ones in Asaba.

Just one building in Uyo surpasses all those mushroom buildings in Owerri
grin

Uyo is neater than Owerri.
Uyo has good, more beautiful, well-built motorable roads than Owerri.
Uyo has beautiful and more green areas than Owerri
Uyo is more peaceful, calm, relaxing, green, and serene than Owerri
Uyo has better infrastructure than Owerri
Uyo has more world-class architectural masterpieces than Owerri.
Uyo has motorable overhead bridges but Owerri has non.

When you talk of structures, I don't know what you mean by structures,
cos you know too well that Owerri doesn't have the quality of the Stadium that's in Uyo,
or can you compare any building in Owerri to the tallest building in Uyo,
or the Ibom specialist hospital to anyone in Owerri, etc huh
