They want to continue looting the commonwealth from the oil rich Niger Delta region. If Niger Delta is in Northern Nigeria, the North would have separated from the rest of Nigeria to be alone. This is the truth the likes of IBB, Atiku, Yakassai, Dikko etc wont want to be told. I am not from Niger Delta. Even if Goodluck Jonathan becomes our elected president in 2011 what will the average Ijaw man on the street gain? I sincerely believe that he should take governance to a higher level and deliver the so called democracy dividends and the whole Nigeria irrespective of geopolitical zone will vote for him. Development has no enemy at all. In 1993, MKO won convincingly the June 12 Presidential election even beating Bashir Tofa in his Kano home state. At that period in time, we have 2 parties, a Northern Muslim (IBB) was the military head of state of Nigeria, and Tofa of NRC and MKO of SDP were all Moslems. The Christians did not protest at all, but when OBJ appointed a service Chief from the Christian North (Kogi State) the religious bigots cried blue murder.

To me Nigeria should be ruled on merit. God fearing people from any tribe should rule Nigeria ad infinitum. The Bush Family in the US have ruled and are still ruling in US today, nobody cares. GJ should develop Nigeria-North and South simultaneously , fight the fat corrupt thieves masquerading as Politicians, Bureaucrats, Technocrats and Contractors and send them to jail, ensure constant power supply and security of life and properties. I know about newspaper and magazine production. The chunk of the job is really in marketing. Many Vendors associations will demand 50,000 naira as registration fee then you host them by buying food and drinks for the members before they will touch your paper/magazine or rather display it for buyers to see.In Lagos alone there more than 40 chapters of the Newspaper distributors association. A friend started publishing a paper last year but sales were very poor. To decongest his office he has to pay another paper to advertise that people should come to his office and pick all his editions free of charge. You know that Naija guys love freebies, so his office became a beehive of activities as many came to collect free Papers. Yet, magazine production is a money maker any day any time if your niche is a good one and the articles are well written and proofread.You must have a unique selling proposition (USP). Ovation and Genevieve Magazines carved a niche and they are succeeding today and the promoters are smiling to their banks daily. The cover matters a lot. The caption of each edition must be captivating. In fact, you will need a Consultant to guide you on how to go about it. N.B: Don't expect to make profit in the first 6 months of going into the business, but if you're patient and your product is good it will yield great monetary compensation in the long run. Mr B, I will suggest that you look for a financial/investment advisor here in Nigeria who will guide on where to invest your money while you continue with your biz. the invested money will be yielding what we call residual income while you focus on generating more money in your current business. Besides, the Canadian Visa you are buying with 600,000 naira is too costly. If you know how to go about it, it wont cost you up to 100,000 to get a valid Canadian business visa.Remember that it is easier to make money in Nigeria than abroad. Before you can get an investor Visa you must have proof of availability of at least $200,000. Your 1.5 million is just about $10,000. It's no money over there in the real sense.
