Two ways you can use are;
1. Do a fresh install of the kali Linux by creating a virtual pc in your VMware.

No need to dual boot , just use a VMware workstation or virtual box that way you can still have your windows 10 on while you work on your kali Linux. If you run into any problems let me know.
