@nethacker I survived without a car for one whole year o, infact one year and some months and I just got my car in June o, I was just lucky i had a lot of friends who had cars so they always offered to take me around, am in the dallas area, but your right though, once cannot really survive without a car here unless your in NYC or something, or u have really good friends who dotn mind offering u rides

u r 1 out of 100 dat hav friends who hv cars 2 move u to ur desire destination perhaps ur schedule is in line with theirs besides dallas is a metro area cos of d population but wat do u think would happen if u r in a city whr there's no metro n pple ain't offering u ride?

Its not advisable to move around with your 9ja passport when your just going within the states, So even if you cant get a driver's license, try and apply for a state ID which is way faster so you can use that as your form of identification pending when you get your Driver's license. And get familiar with the traffice signs, they dont joke with that here, its not like 9ja where u can drive anyhow u like and speed as u want

if u think u can survive here without car,omo na lie ooo.maybe if u stayin somwhr arnd NYC. wen i suffer small,nobody teach to go get car sharp sharp which part of TX u dey? i get some of nairaland lords in dat area,

greetings to y'all. even if u get here with your int'l drivers license,i'll advise u to get d driving manual so dat u get conversant with their traffic signs n road signals.Above all,dnt wait for too long to get your drivers license in d state u reside because if u wanna travel out of your state of residence u will hv to be moving abt wit your 9ja passport.I'm glad 9ja peeps r openin their eyes now to d truth n not hearsay.congrats to y'all coming this fall.
