You think I beg?
Or that I've got entitlement mentality?
Are you any different from Buhari zombies who think everyone opposing Buhari is corrupt?
It's a fallacious conclusion my dear. Bro, you're very far from understanding. What has Buhari got to do with this? So for any argument you have to bring Buhari into it.. Can't you have a discourse without bringing Buhari that isn't even there? No leadership clue and no physical presence but he's the only defence you've got. Shame on you. If you believe someone doing well owes you because you ain't doing well, then you are a thief.. Period! The company you abhor has done what they deem fit. They don't owe u, they have competition, if you hate them, use their competitor. Someone like you will do nothing for people you're better than but curse, insult and attack people better than u for not doing anything for u. |

Why we believe others owe us because they are doing well scares me shirtless. Even if they choose to do nothing for anybody, we can't complain.. They pay tax, the govt hound them.. So they owe nobody, they pay their bills too. I fear for our society, the youths believe those doing well owes them, that's the first ingredient for theft and kidnappings, our society looks doomed |

Awol1: So the companies elsewhere in the world that have done it for the citizens of their host country owe the citizens? It's their choice to.. People like you want to force others to give you stuffs they own. Its freewill, not debt. Because others are doing it doesn't mean they must do it. Canadian govt is giving out 4kCAD to citizens out of job per month, why didn't the US follow suite at same value? The US chose to do 1k USD. Your govt choose to do 80USD to the poor as claimed. Get over it. Nobody owe you nothing in this life, create your path |

Things are hard. Life is hard.. But why do we always expect free things from others.
What's have we given to those we are better than?
This is not compulsion, its free will. No company owe you, no artist owe you, u don't own them either
If the company, that is equally suffering under the issue chose to give or not, its at their prerogative.
When we expect things from others compulsorily, ain't that theft? |

One of the things this covid 19 has exposed in Nigeria is that we are a very poor country.
People begging poor celebrities for giveaway, begging companies for freebies, even the govt begging Tesla for what they can afford.
We are all 'beggers' in this country. Its now so bad, that after begging, we mock, insult and curse these companies for not giving us 'their' own money
Ppl don't even realize that these companies are running into massive losses, for instance the Telcos have their share prices crashed so badly that they are now rated as junk.
Its crazy.
It doesn't matter how much their services cost, how difficult the times, may God help us scale thru without begging or suffering. |

All I can see Here is that Tinubu has a lot of guys in his payroll to defend him.
AB auditing Lagos is massive conflict of interest and shouldn't happen.
States who agree to use AB usually either they genuinely believe in the firm- which is a good thing or are coerced to- some politicians once they beg for Tinubu's support during elections are told to use AB and forfeit a certain percentage for the support. |

dabossman: Okay, fair enough. However, a lot of mass enlightenment needs to be done in this regard; even for the security personnel. Period of dormancy before a number can be issued to a new user and what happens to the data of the previous user. Otherwise, someday, someone somewhere will commit a crime with a certain number, disposes it and several months later someone else gets arrested once the number becomes active again after being reissued to a new user. I doubt if our policemen will bother to cross-check the history of the said number before picking up an innocent person and asking him to produce the owner of the number. It's a jungle out here.
Which is why this case is a good precedent, though Mr. Okolie had to suffer unnecessarily. I get your point and it all fall on incompetence by the security personnel.. The dormancy period an all that is determined by the NCC |

dabossman: You do know that you can make your point without being cocky. Nobody is a reservoir of all knowledge. If someone buys a sim and registers it before selling to me, whose biometric data is then stored against the number with the telco?
I'm not interested in the politics of this matter, but as an individual who has been using the same number since 2001, yet had to register it 3 different times, I'm worried about how well telcos manage my biometric data.
Considering the fact that most people receive bank alerts on their registered numbers, would the new user start receiving these alerts too. Maybe even receive OTP's too?
Obviously this information is not as clear cut as you make it sound. OK, here's the thing.. The registration was forced by NCC under strict timelines and done in haste by several others to avoid fine.. Some were done by roadside guys that didn't get uploaded.. Long and short, the data was seriously dirty, some had entire database corrupt. Which necessitated request for red registrations.. There were instances that NCC inspect the data and discarded it for multiple reasons such as improper data capture, unclear image etc. When that happen, registration had to done again. But the case here, the sim was abandoned and the dormancy made the telco Reprovision it. |

Now, with his signature on those papers this his N500m law suit is useless. He should'nt have signed those papers. I just hope he told his lawyer this, so that he don't go embarrassing himself in the law court. Forcing someone to sign under duress invalidates the document in the court of law. Let them come and explain themselves before somebody else suffers unnecessarily. Stop spewing this ignorance in public. Don't buy sim preregistered means, don't buy a sim and start using it without registration. In this case someone registers a sim and sell it to you. In the case in question, the sim is dormant.. The telco reprovisioned it and sold. The new user registered it afresh.. Its not a preregistered sim. Its a fresh registration but sim was once used by someone else. |

How can a second individual register a pre-registered sim card without it being flagged by the telco? I just don't get it. Its been reprovisioned, you canrderegister it and the telcos have all the data. So what don't you get? If no activity on your sim and its not on the network for a given period NCC authorized them to resell it. |
