It's a pity, staff at the Italian consulate in Lagos are so inconsistent. You won't get clear information about their processing, they won't give adequate information, and sometimes misleading information. You will hear different version of information from the lady who receives calls for them, different one via email and different one via online sometimes. I hope these people change for good.

If you intend going for an international programme which gives you international qualification ( i.e European Bachelor's degree Prog) in Italy; you don't need pre-enrolment. If you fall into this category, please signify here. It seems most students here are going to public universities which requires pre-enrolment.

Just spoke to the Italian cosulate cocerning the Italian study visa she said the application has began.. but they attend to student only on fridays..
Bro, are you sure the lady told you that application for visa has begun? I actually called the the Italian consulate and a lady spoke to me, she told me visa application begins after 10th August.

Anyway, I will urge whoever wants to apply for visa and needs concrete information not to rely on hearsay. If you aren't sure of information you get here, please contact the Italian consulate.

Not until after mid August. But if in doubt, you can visit the consulate in Lagos. You will hear from the horses' mouth.

Is there any agent who can assist with the process in Lagos?
There is no shortcut to being great in life. Please don't be vulnerable to scam. You don't need an agent to help you with the process, just follow the right steps and experiences of those who have done theirs.

I am giving you this advice because you are going to system where people don't believe in handouts and shortcuts. You can do it bro!
I wish you the very best in your endeavours.
Ciao!

How can we start applying visa after 15th of August! While over 200 people is processing this stuff. What am saying is the time frame, coz is too shot.
Don't ride on assumptions. I have learnt one special lesson in life;source for firsthand information and remain very careful before taking decisions.
If you aren't too sure of a situation, there is no harm in trying to go to the source of the information. My 2 kobo advice! grin

By the way, do you know how many pre-enrolment cases that was treated yesterday? I counted beyond 50 that was booked for. Embassies have their different ways of processing applications.
I wish everyone good luck.

I believe there is some misinformation somehow and it worth critically looking into.
Different stroke for different folks. Cases may differ, but that's the information I got from Andrea. It takes 15days to process visa application.

newacca's feedback is what everyone is awaiting grin

many have refreshed this page a ziliion times embarassed
grin I was told by Andrea that my visa application cannot be processed now. I was told that I can only apply after 15th August. School resumes mid September.
I think the embassy is trying to generalize all process as those I saw there today came for pre-enrolment, while a lady that went inside before me was also told to come and apply after 15th August.

I wish everyone of us the best of luck. smiley

There is something called poverty of the mind. It affects most of our African brothers. They have shallow minds. They think poor and want to get rich, it's practically impossible.

Wait make I ask lalasticlala whether e get answer for us. grin

AgricultureI Need Idea On Setting Up A Cattle Ranch & Supply Of Calves/goats To The Ranch. by newacca(op): 1:32pm On May 05, 2016
I just acquired some plots of land in a remote area of Abeokuta,Ogun State. The acquisition of the land came as an opportunity, and being an entrepreneur who always take opportunities up and figure out how to handle them later; I took it up.

I initially thought of developing the plots to real properties and flip them or rent them out; but while I was thinking about which of the sides I should take, something came to my mind: why can't you try animal rearing, which you have been nursing in mind for long? I like getting myself involved in challenging businesses and activities. I have never involved myself in rearing animals, so I see it as a challenge to hit the ground. grin

To cut the long story short, I prefer to set up a cattle ranch with those plots of land. I've never done it before, so I need ideas, tips and advice from good and experienced nairalanders. I would also like to know how and where I could stock the ranch with animals ( calves and goats ).
If you deal with such animals, particularly calves, please let's connect.

I would be looking forward to useful tips and advices from great minds here. Thanks in anticipation. smiley

@lalasticlala pls. show some love. smiley

Wow...wonderful thread I must say, but I don't know why I haven't stumbled on this thread long before now. I was born and bred in Abeokuta, even schooled there. I reside in Lagos for now but mostly pop in on weekends to relax am an aspiring entrepreneur with a gainful amount of experience and I will love to join this group.
I actually sat down to read all 23 pages and one thing I have noticed is that it seems the enthusiasm and participation of early starters have swindled. Not much Firepower like before as it took just three to four pages from August 2015 to Jan. 2016. @newacca I hope am wrong?
Anyways I would love to join and I should be bumping into abk this weekend too.
Thanks
Unfortunately, you are right. A lot of our members misinterpreted the idea and thought it's mainly to help them with fund. Even if you want to help people with fund, won't there be any commitment on the entrepreneur's part? Most of the members don't even have a biz plan. I encouraged them come come up with a biz plan or biz model canvass and that I'll support such individual financially to reg. the business na,e. Till date, I've never seen any member buzz me that s/he has prepared one. sad

Though I still have the dream and strength to lead the course and ppl like you can light the fire again. My contact should be in my signature. Cheers.

Hello! I am a budding entrepreneur although I stay in Lagos. But I seek admission into Funaab this year. I am 17 and I produce soaps and hair creams on a small scale. I have sights on perfumes ; germicides and insecticides and most especially a fertilizer and ethanol plant. Funaab is a school that focuses more on Agriculture so I hope to get connections with some of the students who might later grow to own farms and the likes
You are on the right track. Welcome here bro. smiley
