UNDERSTANDING YOU

Good day, how are you all,

sure you might be at work, or at your own office (entrepreneurs) or at wherever you choose to be, but wherever you are we have to talk about something we all need to understand and clear out..

We are talking about you and your purpose...

Some of us have already set standards for ourselves, that this is who we are, what we can do and what we can't do, how we choose to behave and represent ourselves, although sometimes we can fail miserably and act differently due to overwhelming situations we claim are out of our control, when we are just weak inwardly in real truth.

The real deal is that many of us are just acting naturally... (passives)

Which is one of the reason why we will want to solve only our own problems first and still say I give to the poor when I have....

Which is why we believe we have to do things only for ourselves first, before we can get to a higher point.. when we can just sit and solve a problem for someone and get serious cash for it..

Which is why we believe that if we believe in something we can make it.

Reacting naturally to things is not bad, but if you check out the great people of today, they didn't just react naturally, they went further, dug deeper, they did research...

Whenever they react to something, they try to understand why they reacted and this understanding creates who they are, rather than those who just say that is just me and that is how I behave

Why do you sleep at 12:00 in the night and wake by 4:00am when as an adult you are supposed to be having 6 hours of sleep at least.. you might say that is just who you are, that you are a light sleeper... Think deeper, why don't you sleep six hours and get a clearer head, why don't I sleep six hours so that I can think better and eat better..

This week, you are planning to go to work, or by Gods grace let something big come your way... you say.

Think deeper...

Why don't you sit down and create something big.... then allow God to make it bigger....

You might be thinking of how you will feed today, and you are just hungry you can't even think of others (children in somalia) feeling so hungry... You as an adult can bear that hunger, sit down and draft an idea to make you never hungry again and also this idea can feed half of Africa ... Think deeper

It is not about solving the problems we see right now... It is about solving the ones that cause the problems..

Right now you might be praying to God that if you get a 500,000 job in shell that you will serve him forever that you will be able to feed and cloth... Why don't you pray to God to give you a billion dollar idea .. so that you will be able to give other people job so that they will be able to feed, so that they will be able to live... Just because you existed...

You say you have a big idea, a passion for this or that and then you want to send it into the market...

Wait!

Because you love the idea, because you have passion for it, doesn't mean it will sell, doesn't mean I will like it, because I am different from you, in order words you have to make the product to make sense to me for me to buy it.

It is not because it makes so much sense to you. I mean you think it can't fail that is why It will sell.. Nope... It must solve one of my problems and a less laborious rate than the ones I have or you are a dreamer..

Think deeper...

All this we can do if we stop being us... and we start thinking deeper, starting reacting to things because we know them and how they work and not because I said so or because that is how you felt or because that is your mood.... if we stop thinking about ourselves alone and about everyone...

It is just like business

You want to be rich right.... you don't want to suffer, so rather than thinking of solving your own problems alone ....you can do this, create a product which over 1 billion people in Africa will have to subscribe to for $10 a month, that is $10 billion in one month...

This way you just made yourself rich by solving others problems... in other words you solved millions of peoples problems and they gave you their money as a thank you..

Is that not better than sitting in an office for shell...

Is that not better than running a boutique or hair saloon when we have over 10 shops in every 20 minutes walk...

Think deeper...

Stop looking a problem or question and giving your immediate opinion....

Look at a problem, and ask yourself, how did this problem come about... what is the problem based on... What are the 100 solutions I have

Look at the question, and ask yourself, how is the person who is asking this question feel, what led her here, negligence, what is she trying to solve

Thinking deeper not only makes you more intelligent... But it makes you worth more than gold...

You are not just flesh and blood, who eats, drinks, sleeps... you are a bulk of intelligence, who eats, drinks, sleeps... So use it

For example... a fashion designer.... and you want to bring a new style of clothes to the street....

First: you draw a line in your market... are you selling to the average citizens or the high class citizens, are you selling in a particular state or the whole country, or to a particular tribe.... after you get that into your head...

Second: You go through research, talking to your audience (the people you are selling to), use websites to find out how they react to such new style without telling them you are making it... Find out how well they react to something different and amazing... and there you have a market you can work with.

Third: you completely rehearse your idea, you are your own marketing team, everything already planned out...

Fourthly: You take your idea to investors, who will invest in your if it sounds great

Fifth: You now have capital to move your idea to the market, making sure you marketing plans contains pre advertising and pre boosting... to make your product hit the market in the biggest way possible...

Sixth: You bring up more ideas to draw and attract more people, through bonanzas and thank you for choosing us promos you will get so many more

some years later ... you sit at home and count in dollars (now you are an entrepreneur)

Now One rule you matured men and women, and teenage boys and girls break in relationships is that no matter the quarrel, the fight, the war, never ever suggest a breakup (that is when you still see a future with him/her and not when you are being pounded to death)...

Now there is the Rule of Understanding.

Understanding Boundaries

Face it no matter how you love her and she loves you, both of you will always have boundaries (how many of you have every shaved your girlfriend's pubic hair?) you see thats the example of a boundary... there are so many more and the job of both parties is to understand others boundaries and respect it... also give time for both boundaries to be open and not try to manually open them.. (it will lead to dire consequences.

Understanding Emotions...

Relationships are romantic, sweet and whatever (meaning there is a lot of emotions involved) now for all those men who they don't care about all those female drama... Sorry you have to and so goes for women... Understanding his/her emotions doesn't mean playing love and romance and buying gifts and surprising her sometimes...............

It kind of a reaction to stimuli (when you touch something hot, you immediately drop it don't you?) Thats how it is... .reacting at the right time with the right reaction to his/her emotions should be in the back of you mind..

Understand Your Position in the Relationship

Knowing your position and understanding it are two different things....
Ladies are meant to be submissive or equal depending on the relationships... Men are meant to be alpha, equal or submissive depending on the relationship, now knowing and understanding your position in a relationship would help lead to a better relationship.

Now Imagine a relationship which the lady is meant to be submissive and when they have a quarrel she hisses and walks out.... This would lead to break up and any form of disaster...

Note: Not all relationships the lady is equal to the man....

I believe your idea might just be to imitate one of the American created marvels, since Nigeria lacks that..

Because let me tell you something... Someone with a great million dollar idea will not just be looking for investors on nairaland but will go to big companies... These companies are always ready to give you more than enough as long as it is promising....

Thing is Passion alone won't build a business. Quite a number of our so called 'business consultants (who doesn't even have a business)' would want us to believe that when you have a passion for something, just jump into the market. And some of us just oblige only to get frustrated at the end because nobody want to use our 'multicoated energy-saving solar-powered house warmer' in Nigeria.

On the contrary, a marketable passion does. When ur passion is marketable...then the work is half done. I always like it when the passion goes with the market. You are sure of the sales even though it will be challenging at the beginning. And yes, the passion will keep you afloat!

Men/Women I am not asking your to be too proud, over zealous... I am asking you to be creative, not with your boring idea, but something you did more research on..

I have asked many people (adults) what do you want to be and they told me they want to be great, build big empires and make a difference..

I am like "so you were planning to be small before and you were planning to look like bolanle"

We are all planning to achieve success, great things, we all want to be the best doctors, big CEO's, or whatever we want or choose to be...

The real question is how much research have you done about it..

You want to create the most popular clothing line.. Interesting... if you don't know about how Your market (which may be Nigerians or Kenyans or Ghanaians) react to clothing lines.

You might want to create green energy... and yet you do not know how your market reacts to green energy or if they even care that the exhaust pipes of their cars is polluting the air.

What do you know about your market.. Yes you have the idea, because you sat down one day and taught someone books and you said that you want to be a lecturer, Interesting...

Do you think being a lecturer is all about just teaching (that is if you are planning to be like our fathers in the lecture field) Lecture has to do with something much more... Go and watch American teaching classes and you will get a glimpse of it.

Or you just showed your friends how to wear clothes in the right fashion and you say ooh ooh I want to be a fashion designer... So you think everyone wants you to pick for them...

If you are saying you want to be an entrepreneur and you don't know anything about Economics and Marketing and Statictics no matter the idea you wasting your time..

Because when you know your market and all other things of relevance, you wouldn't complain about the financial aspect of your business, because investors will be looking for you.. to invest in you so that they can make gain off your profitable Idea..

All ideas are profitable to the beholder, it might be to 100 people around you, but when you are talking about business you are talking about more than 1 million people or do you want to sell to your family and friends alone..

I am speaking to the open minded who wants to improve, and those who want to improve me.. .I would love for you to follow me so that you can share from the ideas I put down and also so that you share with me your idea..
