olaniyilukman: Nothing went backward rather politicians are degrading the man image both home and abroad that he stole Nigeria wealth but all these claims are false, it is just to make the poor masses believe that millitary is not good but I totally disagree with you, I came across a book in Library in UK and everything was detailed about how these Nigeria resources are stored abroad by Abacha regime inorder not to allow corrupt people to feed on it and I was made to understand that Abiola himself is part of system that want total destruction for Nigerians... Do research about Abiola's, Awo, Azikwe wealth, you will know where the problem is coming from... Baba, are you saying that those Abacha loot are free money from the west? I mean the ones we have been seizing from Switzerland, US, etc. The same money the family has been flexing on for decades. So Abiola, the original MKO of June 12 had bad plans for Nigeria.? Baba, I salute you o. I salute the books in library too. Even a cow knows that Abacha was a hardcore looter. Any cow can write anything in a book. Don't believe everything in a book. |

Even the military is corrupt. It's like Abacha seizing power in the 90s and people were jubilating. Little did they know that they just went 20 years backward. After some months, the honeymoon phase ended. It ended in tears.
People never learn. Your vote is your power, not destabilizing a nation. There are even terrorists hovering around that Mali. The citizens don't just have sense. |

The problem is our culture. We worship money. Get rich at all cost. Nobody bothers as to source.
I will be candid. I have no faith in Nigeria whatsoever. The future is extremely gloomy. The leaders we elect at all levels of governance is nothing short of a disaster! This government talk is stale. If you do something because you're scared of getting punished for not doing it, baba, you're a shitty person who lacks character. I didn't say you have bad character; you don't have character at all. Nigerians cast Nigeria, not just politicians. Case closed. |

Thanks to our caring leaders that made us this way. Imagine all these nonsense countries. If African countries doesn't respect us, is it Europe that will regard us? Which leaders? You people should stop blaming your leaders for everything that goes wrong. See, nobody out there gives a shìt about your leaders. They don't even know who your leaders are. Their problem is with NIGERIANS, not NIGERIAN LEADERS. I, personally, don't like Indians. I don't even know who the leaders of India are. I just find them repulsive. It has nothing to do with their leaders. Your reputation will always go ahead of you. Nigerians have a reputation of being shitty. That's why people don't like them. It has absolutely nothing to do with the leaders. Bad character is repulsive. One day, in this country, impotent men will blame their leaders. Take responsibility! |

LandMann: There is a price for everything.
Security and it's infrastructure is not free. House owners along major streets and roads should incure the cost of fixing and maintaining the cctv in their environment while government handles the aspect of making it available and accessible online...this will be in exchange for reduced house taxes or government taxes them and use the money for providing the service.
Nigerians will go to USA and spend average of $1000 monthly in taxes and Living expenditure but will want to spend $10 in Nigeria and get the same services obtainable there here in Nigeria.
You, my brother, are the one that needs to wake up and start facing reality and ways to make Nigeria work for us.
To criticize is easy but I challenge you to come up with workable solutions for our problems instead of criticising all day with zero result to show for it Once again, you're not putting things in perspective. That's sad. I have more than enough well thought out workable solutions. That confab report you just derided is filled with well thought out consensus solutions to chronic problems in Nigeria, not just what one person thinks. This country is basically in the wild west phase of development. It's not a political thing. It's a societal thing. Even the politicians are a victim of that phase, even if they're benefiting from this phase. They're not the only ones cashing out massively from it. It's a phase that every democratic society must go through. US, UK, France, etc, all went through this phase and left it (US is gradually returning to that phase). Using countries that have left that phase as a yardstick is just a sad comparison. Compare apples with apples. That confab report, if implemented, can take us out of this phase. We can shake things up without destroying what we have already built up. |

Politics › Re: Insecurity: Falae, Bode George Ask PMB To Implement 2014 National CONFAB Report by Newboss(m): 8:18am On Aug 17, 2020 |
LandMann: The confab report will not solve our security challenges.
The government needs to urgently create a national security database.
Each police station should be equipped with data collection facility, laptop and finger print scanner at the least... all connected to the national security database.
Any body residing in Nigeria should compulsory go and report and register at the nearest police station covering their area of residence... Once you change address, you must update the information at the nearest police station.
From there things can start to improve.
Then make it compulsory for all house owners along major streets and roads and highways to install at least 4 cctv outside their house facing all corners or face heavy taxes... The cctv should be accessible online as well.
Confab report that was doctored to create more political offices and positions won't solve any security challenge.
Meanwhile

If UK, Europe, Canada and USA should put this kind of Ghana law into work that anyone who wants to do retail business must pay $1million dollars before they can open, do you think even Ghanaians or any other countries can travel to someone else ground? Where did you get this information from? $1m will buy you residency in at least two different countries in Europe, and a Caribbean citizenship. That $1m talk is definitely not true. |
