With good spacing, you should have 16000 stands on an acre.

With good weeding & proper fertigation, each stand should give you 1 cob each. Most will give you 2 cobs.

Leaving the politics sorrounding the farmers - herders to one side, it's very obvious that the age long tradition of grazing cattle is no more sustainable.

Our cattles need to be kept in a more modern way, just like it is done even in smaller African countries.

In Kenya for example, farmers keep as few as 2 or 3 dairy cows intensively & it's generating income for them.

Why can't we imbibe same methods in Nigeria.

We need to push our ignorance aside & embrace these practices.
