PoliticsRe: Breaking: Former Borno Governor, Ali Modu Sheriff Defects To PDP by NextIG(m): 4:21pm On Jul 14, 2014
chukwudi44: So all this while he was in APC you did not know he was a boko haram suspect abi? Bunch of retards
My Brother Chukwu44, help me ask him very well please. When people were shouting "Modu Sheriff" is a key sponsor of BH, none of the APC chieftain or party supporters especially here on NL agreed with that accusation. They were busy misquoting Azazi's speech that "BH is PDP and vis visa". Now that the same man they protected has turned his back on them, we are being reminded of the same accusation from the same Aggrieved People's Council. The same thing happens with FFK. When he (FFK) was bashing GEJ on daily basis, they were everywhere praising him even when some of us were telling him to face his corruption charges, none of the APC supporters agreed that FFK has a case to answer in court. They did not see him as a corrupt person when he is with them. No sooner had FFK returned to PDP, his online supporters were shouting 'Crucify him, Crucify him'. Is this the type of opposition and change that Nigerian's are desiring and clamouring for? I doubt much. Shame on APC.
PoliticsRe: Nigerian Military Uncooperative, Slow To Learn –US by NextIG(m): 9:30am On Jul 14, 2014
Oh! Oh!! Oh!!! Nigerian Military slow to learn and uncooperative? Haba US, just tell us another story why for two months plus you are unable to proffer adequate solution to Chibok girls. And since you don't want the world to see you as incompetent, the blame game is now coming in. The same Nigerian Army that makes breakthroughs in many African countries through your UN Missions and our own AU and ECOWAS Missions are now refusing to cooperate? Well, we all know your plans. You are looking for any means to deploy your own troops on our own soil. But be rest assured that it will not work as long as GEJ is the one ruling. He already knew your gimmicks that's why he was reluctant in accepting your offers from the onset.

Asikolaye/Bakin Ruwa is located at the western byepass (Nnamdi Azikiwe Express Way) before Kurmin Mashi on your way to Kawo from Abuja Junction. Just immediately you pass Kabala West Junction, the next village is Bakin Ruwa (bounded with Rigasa village). Its a confirmed story though the information is still sketchy.

Christianity EtcUsing The Blood Of Jesus In Prayer by NextIG(op): 7:47am On Jan 05, 2014
Happy New Year Brethren! This question keep bothering me for a long time. I want to know why do we Christians echoed the "BLOOD OF JESUS" whenever somebody invoked it while praying instead of answering AMEN. I was told that the word "AMEN" means LET IT BE SO. In almost every congregation or, at a programme where a Christian is asked to pray, the moment he/she mentioned "The Blood Of Jesus", you'll hear almost every christian there echoing "The Blood Of Jesus" instead of "Amen". Someone should please enlightened me. Thanks.

I think you should be the one to be ashamed of yourself. Is becoming Pastor a licence to be or remain poor? What is your evidence that the Pastor is milking his congregation? For your information, this same Pastor does not need the church money for any of his needs. The three private Jets were bought by his own money and since then they've been maintained from his own pocket not the church's. Is it a crime to be blessed by God?
CrimeRe: Nigerians Accused Of Kidnap Killed In Guinea-Bissau by NextIG(m): 10:48am On Oct 09, 2013
Abagworo: Leave these foolish people who do not understand the significance of this event. They killed Nigerians who were going about their normal business and proceeded to Nigerian embassy to destroy it and instead of us to defend our people we are busy engaged in tribal fights. Nigeria needs to sanction that country or if possible destroy it to ashes. Nobody can try that against USA as a world power. We are the regional power here and should be respected.
My brother, the attitude and responses of some Nigerians towards this incedence amazes one. How on earth will someone kill your citizen based on frivolous allegation and you are celebrating that it serves him right? But here in Naija we condemned jungle justice matted on ALUU 4, we are even trying to plead on behalf of those imprisoned in foreign prisons. Well, the country (Guinea Bissau) is not taking the matter lightly my brother. They are furious with the happening and trying to apprehend and bring to justice those behind it.
CrimeRe: Nigerians Accused Of Kidnap Killed In Guinea-Bissau by NextIG(m): 11:12pm On Oct 08, 2013
Well, I've read through all the above comments. To the best of my Knowledge, it was just an allegation. The locals were complaining over the rampant cases of children being missing. Prior to this allegations, there is the notion that, Nigerians are in their country to take away or dominate their Economy. Being a Portuguese colony, they are bitter over the presence of so many Nigerians (an English colony though in the same sub_region) in their country. And you know, most of those Naija guys in Bissau are deportees or, those wishing to go to Europe by illegal means via Bissau but couldn't make it. Today, the Victim went to a particular area for his Business when those poverty stricken touts descended on this innocent man and lynched him without mercy. From there, they proceeded to the Nigerian Embassy where they destroy the windows and smashed the windscreen of a Jeep. This is all an allegation and, na one person dey kill wooo no be three as reported. The Security men (The local Police and the ECOWAS Peacekeepers) were able to restore normalcy to the city. Moreso, there is also the problem of their military men (Both retired and serving). Due to the forthcoming election (may be early next year), their military men were bent on either sabotaging the efforts of ECOWAS to restore the country to Democracy or, either make their anointed candidate win the election. Now, the presence of ECOWAS Peacekeepers is a great threat to those khaki men. They are the ones going about misinforming and instigating the locals about the presence of the Peacekeepers in their country. Hence, Naija being the Chief, her people are the target.

PoliticsRe: Okogie On 2015: Don’t Run, Jonathan, Don’t... by NextIG(m): 5:04pm On Sep 22, 2013
Ojigho: @ Next I.G. I don't need to trade words with you cause i guess you are part of the millions of Niger Deltans suffering from the "na our pikin" syndrome . If you are sincere with your self, apart from Militants in the creeks of Delta and Bayelsa States, and some other praise singers and political jobbers in the Niger Delta, which other Niger Deltans have felt the impact of GEJ as CIC in this country? I'm using the Niger Delta as a basis for my argument cause a lot of columnists and analysts argue that due to the President being from a minority ethnic group,a large portion of the larger ethnic groups do not want him to work. Excellence holds no bounds, hence ethnicity and creed shouldn't be reasons to associate with failure. When a man is just and fair, his light would shine even in the camp of his enemies. One thing a lot of us youths fail to take into cognizance is the fact that we often are just set up to argue and bicker amongst ourselves, while the action "stealing" that has no ethnic group, tradition, culture, geopolitical zone etc takes place. Till we get up,put our thinking caps on and start asking and demanding excellence from our leaders,we would continue to pick at straws arguing like fools while we are robbed blind. Youths of my great country,it's high time we wake up.
My Brother, in that I may agree with you on some points you raised (a) Excellence holds no bounds, hence ethnicity and creed shouldn't be reasons to associate with failure (b) When a man is just and fair, his light will shine even in the camp of his enemies (c) We should demand excellence from our leaders. This is wonderfully good. I actually responded to your post demanding for the achievements of GEJ in SS. All I am pointing out is, was GEJ elected to only develop SS or the whole of Nigerian state? So, whether there's developments in SS or not, as long as he has developed somewhere within the Nigerian state, he has achieved something. Has GEJ not achieved something good since his coming to power? Now, are you waiting for a government that no body will benefit from it or take advantage of the person in power to achieve his aim before you can see good in that government? May be not in this dispensation my Brother. It is a known fact that even before the election of GEJ some larger ethnic groups have vowed never to allow his government achieve anything credible and they've proved their point even though, he has achieved many things beyond their imagination. My concern here is, why will people be coming out to say GEJ should not contest in an election that he is entitled to by law? If we thought he has not perform, the best way is for those clamouring for a change or new leadership to go round the country to enlightened the populace but not to be using media and half baked information including perfect lies to discredit GEJ. Why is it that the regime change is mainly coming from the Northern elites, are they the only ones seeing the evil of this government? Lastly, for your information, I am not from Niger Delta region. I am from North Western Nigeria. I only say the truth when I see one. I am not a party to "na our own". I hate our northern leaders with a passion.
PoliticsRe: Okogie On 2015: Don’t Run, Jonathan, Don’t... by NextIG(m): 2:27pm On Sep 22, 2013
Ojigho: @thread. Please what has GEJ done for the Niger Delta for the past 6 years he has been both acting President and President? If you, @ Sincere 9gerian can't give me a detailed and comprehensive catalog of the "projects" he has personally gone out of his way to use his enormous might as the CIC and also a son of the soil to carry out to touch the lives of the Average Niger Deltan, then from this day,I'd begin to regard you as just a praise singer. I don't want to know the day and year marginalisation started in this country. All I'm saying is if there ever is a man that can remove the tears and suffering of the poor, give hope to the teeming number of unemployed graduates in the streets, rules the country with the fear of God with strict observance to the Constitution of this great country, let that man be president. I DO NOT CARE WHICH GEOPOLITICAL ZONE HE COMES FROM.
First outlined the achievement(s) of Shagari, Buhari, Babangida, Abacha and Abdulsalami to the Northern Region from 1979 to 1999 (Twenty Years), and you'll receive a catalogue of Jonathan's achievement to the SS in 4yrs. I thought a President is to work for the entire Nation and not only for where he comes from. Jonathan was not elected based on where he comes from but based on trust, that Nigerians have seen a leader who can correct and rebuilt the broken foundations of this Nation thereby returning Nigeria to its lost Glory. GEJ is actually correcting the mistakes of the past and wiping away tears from all Nigerians and in doing that, he is trying to keep away from those who have been the arch enemies of Nigeria. This same people have now gang up to labelled him as Incompetent, Tribalist, Slowpoke, Uncharismatic etc. just because the man refused to go the way they think Nigeria should be runned. Using unconstitutional means to discredit and stop Jonathan from 2015 election is what will divide Nigeria than allowing him or him winning.
PoliticsRe: Okogie On 2015: Don’t Run, Jonathan, Don’t... by NextIG(m): 7:48am On Sep 22, 2013
Sincere 9gerian: Nonsense! If not for anything, for the mere fact that Boko Haram and other DESTRUCTIVE elements said GEJ must not seek re-election, GEJ MUST now seek re-election. GEJ must go for his CONSTITUTIONALLY guaranteed second term even if it means balkanising the country. There's nothing any EVIL group, power mongers or sycophants can do about it.

Where were these evil merchants when IBB ruled for 8 years without the consent of Nigerians? Where was Boko Haram when Abacha ruled for 5 years (just about 1 year after the 8 year rule of IBB) and was about making himself civillian president before death came calling? From 1979 till 1999, we had an unbroken chain of northern head of state/president (save for the less than 1year rule of Shonekan). That is a period of about 20 solid years. Why didn't the southern part of country make the country ungovernable or create its version of Boko Haram? Nonsense!

GEJ contesting is no longer about personal ambition. It is now about showing some people that they cannot climb to power on the back of terror and blood shed. It is now about proving to some people that other parts of the country are ALSO born to rule the country.

The president of Nigeria is the president of EVERY part of Nigeria. He is not only the president of Boko Haram troubled states like Borno and Yobe. He is also the president of the relatively peaceful states like Enugu, Ebonyi, Anambra, Delta, Imo, Abia, Cross River, Lagos, Ekiti, etc. He also has responsibilities to Nigerians in those relatively peaceful states in terms of infrastructural development, job creation, health, education, etc.

As for the Boko Haram troubled states, the president has discharged his constitutional responsibilities to them, as much as possible within the limits of high insecurity in those places. Work on certain sections of Kano-Maiduguri road project has been stalled as we speak, not because of lack of funds but because of Boko Haram. Same applies to PH-Maiduguri railway project. Under GEJ govt we've seen a situation where even when govt puts money on the table for project execution, projects are stalled in north due to Boko Haram. Who then do we blame? Those funds should be diverted to address the needs of relatively peaceful parts of the country. Govt has also deployed troops and declared SOE. If those are not enough, and if the violence will not stop except GEJ steps down, then GEJ can NEVER step down. He can NEVER forgo his right to seek re-election. We'll see who gets tired of the violence.

Has anyone noticed that the Borno youths (civillian JTF) who got tired of the killings, took their own destiny in their hands and fought to push back Boko Haram, have not received ANY word of commendation or appreciation from ANY of the prominent northern leaders (political or religious)? Yeye dey smell!

Note: The WORST evil people can do after reading this post is to attack the messenger (me). I'm ready and already used to their attacks. So lets go!
My Dear Brother, may the good Lord continue to Bless you for always saying the Truth and standing by it. I've been following your posts and comments on NL, it is devoid of abuses and gutter language. May you live long.
Christianity EtcRe: How My Friend Was Brutalised By Winners Chapel Officials In Abuja by NextIG(m): 5:57pm On Sep 08, 2013
@Op, I am not going to exonorate the church from some unwanted happenings within her, but this your story lacks substance. Why did I said so?
(1) Every Winners Chapel has a designated parking lot either within the Church premises or outside the gate but, it is either fenced or well protected.
(2) Your friend made the mistake of parking near the church (outside) when he has been severally warned not to. That shows a sign of disobedience to the church leadership.
(3) Your friend lied by saying that the traffic officials will asked him not park at a particular point without showing him where to park.
(4) If your friend had been a true member of the Winners Chapel for Five years, he should by now knows where Church members, Church officials and Pastors do park their vehicles. Because each have their parking lot. Even the for the Church members, where the first service attendees will park is different from the second service.
(5) With the security situation everywhere, why must you park your car anyhow or somewhere near the church without letting the officials?
(6) If truly he has been a true member, he should know that even if the head of the unit is against him, he should have gone into the church and report him to any other Unit Head, Deacon/Deaconness, Elder(s), or any Pastor and his case would have been attended to immediately without bias. Because the leadership of the church won't take their action lightly if at all, it is true.
(7) For the number of years he has been in the Church he is still not a member of any unit group? That cast a doubt on his true membership in that Church. Because if he belongs to any unit, he would have reported the matter to his own unit head.
(cool The Bible said, if you had a grudge against your fellow brother (Christian), never you take the matter to the judge outside, rather, present it to the elders (pastors) in the church for an amicable solution, we shouldn't allowed unbelievers to settle our matters.
(9) How will you feel when you caned your child and he immediately went outside to call your neighbour when he hasn't reported it to his mother?
(10) Your friend said the head of the Police Anti Robbery Team called him aside and told him to take up the matter. Haba! When a Senior (woman) Police Officer is around and had shouted at him, he still had the audacity to call your friend aside for at least 3minutes advice? Hmmmm!
(11) Think with your mind not with the head. I know there is an onslaught of evil allegations against the Body of Christ the world over, but, the good news is, They Shall Not Prevail. The Church will Keep Marching on until the day of resurrection.
(12) Shalom! Jesus is Lord!!

And if I may ask you, where did he put a defence for the Church in his post? He said we shouldn't be quick to pass a judgement on a one sided story. Let's wait to hear from the Church side also. And when the Church eventually came up with her own side, none of you will condemn the other side. Always being happy when a matter involves the church. God will help us wooh.

Well, our Educational decay did not start from 2011, it has been there for about three decades now. And subsequent past governments have tried their best to restore its lost glory without a full success. Strikes has been embarked in the past but no body called those governments Vagabonds. GEJ will also try his own best and leave the scene for another government to continue. Calling GEJ government as Vagabond is a sign of irresponsibility from an Elder like T.D West. Though, he has never hide his dislike for GEJ since 2010 but, I thought there should be restrain in an elders' speech when he is angry. I advice the youths never to follow the path of our present elders who resort to public abuse in the name of criticism.

These Pastors putting up such grandious edifices here on earth, I wonder if they still remember that Jesus is supposed to be coming soon.

This is outrightly ridiculous..
No! He hasn't changed His mind. He will be back soon as He has promised my Brother. But before He comes back, His gospel must be preached to every creature. And as the gospel is being preached, many souls will accept Him as their Lord and Saviour. As they received Him into their lives, they must be brought to His house to be taught of all His ways (commandments). And if the number of such that are saved keep increasing by the day, there is definitely the need for a bigger and more accommodating place of worship. So, its never an outright and ridiculous activity as you've pointed out. Its a good step in the right direction.

idnoble135: I expect people to quote me but i seriously dont care! And this is my personal opinion.
Its not a surprise that many eyebrows are being raised over this. I think it would be abnormal if he(Pastor Adeboye) did not expect
this kind of reaction.
The rant on social and mass media can go on but i have the feeling that it would not stop the building.
He did not compel people to give. If he wants to expand the church, how is it your business? If you would not give, that would not stop anything being done.
I am not a redeemed member. But my concern is why everything about any church attracts this kind of attention. Knowing that the church fund is comprised of what is given by members. The figure spent by a political party for the last convention is way bigger than this and no one batted an eyelid. I think without the church, some media corporations and blog would die down.
So, every one can shout and rant as much as they want to, everyone would keep quiet when they are tired. Its a matter of next year before the church would be dedicated.
Finally, i know if most of you were alive, you would have equally blasted Solomon for spending a great deal of gold, silver, precious stones, cedar etc building a temple that took a whooping seven years to build because of its complex architectural design. You would have organized protest calling it a waste. Maybe you would have insulted him on facebook, twitter, nairaland, you name it... But God was pleased with Solomon and appeared to him right after the dedication. And there were still poor people in the land. Even Jesus said, "The poor you will always
have with you, but you will
not always have me". Mathew 26:11. Letting us know that helping the poor is important but not as kingdom and its expansion.
If this is not of God, be rest assured that it would fail. But, if this be of God, one million devils and one million Boko haram can not stop it. Acts 5:38-39.
I rest my case.
Gbam!!!!! Shikenan. He who is angry with the work of Jesus in Naija let him go and hang himself. He who is already hypertensive because the Church is gradually taking its place according to the scriptures, let him go and stand in front of Dangote's moving Truck. God bless you sir.

One thing Kemi should understand is that (if this report is truly from her), she's started her new found assignment (as Agent of Lucifer) very very late. If it were some 30years ago she might have probably succeeded but for now, she's failed. The move of the Spirit of God in Nigeria and upon His servants is soundly strong now than before. PoliticsRe: N150m Loot: Army Panel Indicts Winners Chapel by NextIG(m): 4:41pm On Aug 12, 2013
People make comments at times based on either experience or what they've been told. Let me first correct some misgivings here. If its a Tithe the Officer paid to the church, then, it wasn't a donation as the OP asserted. Tithe is never a donation to the church but a Biblical injunction to be obeyed by Christians. In some churches, members paid their tithes directly by taking it to the pastor and at times, the pastor signing a tithe booklet/card to attest that they were tithe compliant. While in other churches you only put it inside an envelope and drop it during offering collections where nobody knows the giver. And Winners happened to fall within the second category. The Pastor of the Church don't know who drop what and how much. That's why some people here are saying the Pastor should have questioned the source of his income. Moreso, time without number, Bishop Oyedepo have been hammering on ill-gotten wealth. He said "My God is not poor for you to steal and give Him". Also, "Everyone who steal even a paper from his organisation, is not worth a child of God". These are the words of Oyedepo. I want to believe, some comments here are either based on ignorance of who really Oyedepo is, or heart filled with hatred for Oyedepo/Christianity or, half baked information on the happenings in the Winners. Nobody is saying anything about the Army officer who's is the principal actor in this case but only on the Church. Well, for more understanding on Oyedepo's stand about ill-gotten wealth, get his books (Covenant Wealth, Understanding Financial Prosperity, Breaking Financial Hardship, Exploring the Riches of Redemption). May God Bless His Church.
