So in the U.S, customs will stop you on the road in Houston and ask you for import papers bahhuh

Most of you have never travelled out of your immediate 1000 square metre radius, but you'll be talking trash, mtcheew undecided
Empty barrel, where have you travelled to?

Not only in The States, in any of the advanced countries you lots work hard to go, do they drive cars without documents.

You dare not ride even a motorcycle if you don't have licence not to talk of car documents.

See them, they keep praising advanced nations but ordinary import duties, they are foaming.

No wonder, most of u get repatriated to Nigeria cos it is the only country where you behave anyhow.

Make policies that will attract inflow of forex through FPIs
I say immediate solution. Will policies bring down the forex within one month.

Besides, you think with low Foreign Reserve, investors will start bringing in their dollars even with the best policies?

Also, which of the Fed Govt policies chased away investors?

Bro, the bulk of the problems lies in exportable commodities and for now, crude oil is what the nation practically depends on for her forex.

Many Nigerians really are only against corruption as long as it doesn't affect them. Truth is this is the way to go to bring sanity back into the system. Nigerians should focus on assisting the custom with ideas that will make the process effective and transparent.

People say was it not the customs that allowed it to pass through before, but the reality and truth is it is not the same custom. While the name remains the leadership is different.
The best comment so far.

All these ones asking for the head of the Customs boss are guilty of those sharp practices.
They can continue to grumble, but they have up to 12 April to update their papers, nonsense.

i expect that the action of the CG of CUSTOMS should receive condemnations from every angle, irrespective of whether what he is trying to do is right or not he should respect the rule of law and try to present his case fairly and convince the SENATE.if he refused to show up and he still goes ahead with his plan to collect such duties then the SENATE should issue a warrant of arrest because he is not above the law period.
Has The Senate invited him? Or do you invite the head of a parastatal through Newspapers or radio/TV?

he should go ahead, custom has been impounding registered cars in the south west before now, its not new, let them extend it to every other part of Nigeria, the custom duty paper is not valued in the north, there was I time i wanted to sell a car, I bragged about it having original custom paper and they said, its useless, they said they can get it for 2000 Naira and I was dumbfounded, I couldnt sell the car, because other guys had the at lower price on car stand because they do not pay duty.
The short and long of this post is that it will affect North the most and the policy is being made and implemented by a Northerner, so why the foaming?

You are the one trying to "tribalise" this thread by typing Kalu and making it bold.

When the fighting starts now you will start shouting hate hate!

We can see that you are losing it already. I am sure you still cannot believe that yorubas went about slaughtering hausas in Ife recently.

I noticed you were so scared and shaken to the marrows.

You just can't bear to see Nigeria crumbling before your very eyes, what excatly are you scared of?

You don't want the fulani to convert your father's compound to a large grazing field?

You have never condemned them here neither have you condemned the hausas that have been killing Southerners at the drop of a hat.

Go and sit down inside the gutter. cheesy

On another note, the murderer should be executed; there cannot be any other way to address this.
That is what you lots do, so stop foaming.

Now I believe this country is been run by a cabal, this is the beginning of dollar cycle! Their boys in government will bring down the price, they will buy cheap and stockpile, wait for their boys in government to stop funding and make unreasonable policy, then the price will go up, they sell! Simple easy money!! Ever wonder why the major players in this business is from a certain part of the country??
Major players are from certain parts of the country? Hmm. They started just when Bubu took over, I guess.

Anyway, since you have got the trick, why not invest accordingly? After all, information is a key to success in business and you have it, so what are you waiting for?

I STAND WITH CBN $100 A MONTH POLICY..
Nay bro! I'm a buharist to the core, check my posts.

What I'm saying, since the banks have excess of the hard currency, why not increase the withdrawal limit from $100 to at least $1k? This will ease a lot of things for the average Nigerians abroad, especially students or what do you think?

Artificial solution to a perennial problem.
We still have far more imports than exports.
how else do we get this dollars if not by export.
If the amount of dollars pumped into the parallel market is not counterbalanced by an equivalent or more amount of dollars received via importation...
I am afraid, this method will soon hit the rocks like the Naira swap deal.
Tell me about pessimism.

Nigeria has practically depended on crude exportation for her forex for a long time and that is what informed the present campaign for diversification.

But for the time being, what Nigerians want is the closing of gap between the official and the parallel market rate and the only way out is what the CBN has embarked on especially in the wake of improved price of crude oil alongside the improvement in the quantity being exported.

What is your immediate solution other than what the apex bank is doing now?

Long term solutions are being pursued and that is one of the several failures of successive past administrations.

Stop all these beer parlour analyses.

Now that makes sense because they treat their women as second class citizens. Their women need to take permission from their men before they can begin to drive a car. Saudi Arabia doesn't even permit them to drive.
You that treat your women as first class citizens, how many women governors have you produced in your places?

Have you started allowing women to participate in the sharing of their late fathers' property?

Have widows started inheriting their husband's properties?

Have widows stopped drinking the water from the washing of their husbands' corpses?

Have they stopped sleeping in the same rooms with the corpses of their late husbands to prove innocence?

Note, in Islam, females inherit their husbands'/fathers' property.

In Islam, the use of husband's name or father's for surname is the choice of the lady.

Respect for parents, especially mothers, by children is not negotiable.

Now, where is a woman treated with contempt?

If in your religion, a woman is free to do what she wants even against the consent of her husband, Islam preaches respect for husbands.

How many Presidents has Nigeria produced that are women? undecided
If the woman is equal to a man, what stops her from becoming the president? Why most she be given the opportunity by a man when she is equal to him and accordingly, can slug it out with him? If she is equal to the man, a level playing ground should be created for both.

Are you saying that you were superior to your mother who birthed, fed and took care of you from childhood till you became independent? undecided
Is it about superiority? Is it not about equality? Based on this logic, the woman is superior (not equal) but that is not the logic, stop changing it.

It is actually about who takes the greatest responsibility, not the biologically assigned role, bro.

Besides, compare married couples not mother and children.
