I believe in the saying spare the rod and spoil the child but only when its necessary.
Why would u as a parent call ur child names? Most Nigerian parents have d tendency 2 take out their frustration s on d kids like say they were asked 2 be born.
Most children that are abused usually end up with low self esteem.
As a gownup married with a kid, I still hate my parents 4 being so abusive when we were little.

I stumbled across this post in my tipsy state. Here I am with my 6 months old daughter tied 2 my back, I am in d kitchen making a pot of Oha and Banga soup, my daughter is crying and I am tired n smelly . My husband stomed out of the house some hours ago because food is not ready n I think 2 myself why are some men dis way, God pls bless my daughter with a man who will alwats try 2 make things easier 4 her. Baby still crying and stugglling 2 play with my oha leaves, and I help myself with 2 glasses of my hubby's ed wine. Finally food is ready, salty i think, baby snoring on my back and I say 2 myself God bless my mama with long life n all d good things of life. N 4 my fada? I'll pobably go visit him on sunday with a bottle of kparaga his doctor asked him 2 stay away from .

This topic is very difficult. Even though I do not support abotion,i still believe dat u have d rite 2 do whatever with uself.
I still think u r cutting shot a life that would have been. If u've ever had an abotion,most times u get 2 live with guilt of what would have been, if ur actions will make u unable 2 bear childen or stuffs like that n believe me its not funny at all. For our own sanity and well being as women I think we should be very careful cos these same men that will knock u up n expect u take care of it will be the same ones calling Muderer or Barren in the future.

Most Men do not know their roles as parents, they believe all that matters is putting food an the table. They simply do not care about any other thing. The way they treat their wives does not even help the situation.

it is not only my culture! marrying older girls such as 20 years and above is the reason why so many marraiges are in trouble. their husband will start seeking for younger tighter womanliness soon after marriage. I strongly recommend 18 years maximuim marriage age for women if you really want to enter marraige with tight womanliness and keep ur man faithful.

got married at d age of 27 and wished i waited till i turned 31. The only benefits of getting married early is just having ur kids b4 u turn 35(even though u can have babies safely at over 40 with good health care system).

Childbirth is painful but bearable. It only gets worse when ur contractions stretches for a long time but once d baby pops out u'l be jst fine.
