Ekg911:20k thats 2011 The minimum wage was just increased to 19k then. The main thing here is the pay for starters is generally very low. But if you can persevere sky is your limit. Waiting for FIRS, NNPC, CBN. You will just waste your time and with time you can't even pass the interview for private school teacher. The above 3 subjects were my official subjects aside being a class master but I do teach practical chemistry, Geography (map reading), and computer as the case arises ( like the teacher being absent or in the case of map reading the teacher is not good in that aspect). I got my real job through that school. Through 2 ways. 1. It make me to always study so that i can answer all tg2e questions the students will ask me in all their respective subjects. With this when i wrote the exams for my job i was the highest scorer in the exam written by about 1600 candidates in 2014. Secondly, after passing the test i was invited to physical verification/interview. the head of that board was the secretary to the state government. who i happens to have an encounter with in that same school. I dont know the man but he recognize me funny enough eventhough i refused to succumb to his request when i was teaching in that school. i insist on doing the right thing at that time i dont even know who the man is. it was in the interview that he narrate my encounter with him. and he recommend me for the job. That was when i knew who he really is. Advice: don't ever burn bridges. you wont know who will help you in the future. This man has the power to reject me without any excuse but he even recommend me. And to date i cant recognise the face of this man |
seyz91:I started as a Mathematics/Physics/Further Mathematics teacher in a private secondary school, This plus Extra lesson to couple of my students. Thats hiw i started. Don't ever look down on any job. Start with the low one and then continue moving through better jobs. You will definitely get there |
seyz91:I am gainfully employed since 2010. Yes some jobs have low pay but one has to start from somewhere. Nothing starts from the top thats why even in nature nobody is born full grown. Work on yourself and be dedicated you will get there. But if you are waiting for ready made then unfortunately you are in real trouble |
Dedication and perseverance |
Actually it is not as bad as perceived. I believe underemployed should be the real challenge. As far as you are ready to work without any big ambitious position. One can get a job within 2 weeks or less. Especially if you are dedicated |
Sense |
owagbeba:Thats exactly what CBN ask banks to do. The only difference is they can give out physical dollars at tge moment. But with time am sure they will initiate the edollar directly into travelers account. |
Good |
Ltherman:Yes, imagine 5000 BDCs receiving $20000 each week officially thats equivalent to 10 million dollars every single week. And the main contractors are getting their letter of credit from CBN. This 10 million is just for BTA/PTA and other petty imports. Nobody will have the need to source for a million dollar from the blackmarket except if that person is a drug dealer/prostitution ring/human trafficker or money launderer. If the CBN is giving $10 million a week for petty reasons of school fees and allowances then they are ready to service customers that have genuine economically viable transactions. This policy will even help reduce crime apart from fiscal monetary stabilisation |
drealcivilceno:Yes the solution to my own belief is the current solution taken by the CBN. Talking of monopoly, all banks in Nigeria where you have account you can get your dollar at the official rate. And remember you have to justify why you need dollars officially and the issue of using multiple accounts in same or different banks does not arise as all your accounts are tied to your bvn and the CBN will be monotoring all the dollar transactions. Also the banks will not allow any sharp practice as they know they will be penalised by the cbn. When cbn penalise a bank it always means they will seize billions of naira from that bank. And definitely any bank that face this. Heads must roll among the staffs of that bank. So whoever is involved no matter how small his actions are must be sacked by the bank. Historically the policy may fall. but taking into cognisant the steps taking by the CBN it will definitely succeed just like how BVN and bank capitalisation succeed. Yes, the BDCs will attempt all they can do to kill the policy. but i dont think the banks will help them because it means more profit for the banks and the punishment by cbn they will never try it. If banks are selling dollars they can't charge above the official rate as all transactions are electronically and cbn has already directed all brancges to open a separate teller point for change only. so you cant just enter bank and hand over naira and receive dollar. you have to complete all documentation. So far this is the best policy by the cbn since bvn implementation |
The BDC's are criminals. But on another note this guy did nothing in the video. If you are analysing something you must proffer solution after stating the problem. But unfortunately he didn't proffer any other feasible solution. Imagine BDC operator gaining profit of more than 100 naira for every single dollar. How can you regulate them to stop? Money is the root of evil. And these people have enough to buy off any agency inspecting them. I believe the solution is exactly what CBN did. Whoever needs dollar should go to his bank and use his account to buy at the official rate. It will be easier for CBN and financial regulators to know who buys what currency and what he aims to do with it. Nobody will come every week claiming he needs dollars. So it can be controlled. The problem is the criminals and corrupt government employees (civil/public) that will contunue to look for dollar to keep as security. For now the BDCs' are claiming it is business as usual. But with time they will run out of foreign currency and that market will collapse. someone will think scarcity will make dollar to appreciate but look at this now anybody can access the dollar at the official rate from his personal bank. so who will leave official rate and go and pay 100+ more naira per single dollar from black market? Now people will think someone with physical dollar will not go to bank to sell his $ because it is more at the black market. but the same black market will crash because if they cant sell because everyone is buying from bank. so if they cant sell definitely they will not buy. or at least they will only buy below the official bank rate. so this will force the customer to go to the bank. Imagine 5000 BDC in 37 states. that is more than 135 BDC company in each state in Nigeria. something is definitely wrong |
Drama |
UncleJudax:No. Before you can buy from the streets. But now it has to be in your personal bvn linked account as a customer. And you dont expect to order $5000 regularly it will be a red flag |
UncleJudax:Yes but with more control as they have to provide evidence of needing the $ at every transaction. Nobody banned $ but it should be done the right way CBN and EFCC are going to monitor every single dollar transaction. We need to reduce corruption no matter how small it is |
Whoever needs Dollar should go through the legal and documented process. We Nigerians are not ready to improve. Everybody knows the BDC's are wrong and dwstroying us but we are here defending them to perpertuate their illegality against us the same customers and citizens. For now it will be business as usual because they still have dollars stashed. But with time it will be mopped up and it will no longer be business as usual |
Good development. But the report was poorly written. What is the length of the road and cost specifically? The quoted 2.5 is it compensation or construction cost? The ministry was quoted as saying the funds is for 300+ projects. So what is the actual contract we are not interested in the other parts of the road that is not in this particular contract |
Incomplete report. What is wrong with todays frontpage? All the reports are not clearly stated. GAS. Which of the gas? LPG for cooking or Diesel for power plants and generators? Pls be specific in reporting |
Politics |
Ok. Actually this is a good idea. Because it will definitely reduce the incumbency pressure. Every single politician will be for himself there will be nothing like hiding unders others influence. A state assembly candidate will be busy in his constituent so he cant help the senator candidate. Likewise governor and president. It will also reduce ballot snatching as the criminals have tobe in their respective areas they cant group and go to another location. So with less population the security and even the voters themselves can stop them. The cost of conducting election will also reduce. More suggestions if i may have my way are: 1. At every election the maximum number of candidates should not exceed 10 different candidates, preferably 5 candidate is ideal. 2. Any party that has zero house of assembly member/senator should not contest for next president/governor. 3. Any party that has no candidate in the state house of assembly should not contest for next senate/house of reps. 4. All parties should contest local government/ councillor positions. 5. Any party that contest and fails to get 20,000 valid votes in the presidential election should be barred from contesting again. they should go back and start from Chairman/councillor positions. 6. Any party that fails to garner 5000 total votes in the election should be totally scraped from the political parties. 7. In a special case where the parties that qualified to contest are not upto 5 parties. the best performing parties in the last election will be added untill the parties reach 5. Lets assume only 2 parties qualified by the above rules to contest for presidency. So INEC will check the best 3 parties in the last presidential election and add them to the already qualified 2 to make 5 parties for presidency. Likewise governorship/senate/house of reps/house of assembly. |

Fake news. NYSC will not do this as the deceassed are not yet NYSC members. If to say they already registered in their camp and then had an accident, then The management has to write such press release. But as it is they died as an average accident victim that died on the road in Abuja. The so called location of accident was in Abuja while their purposed destination was Katsina. Almost 400km distance. Also who authorised the press brief above? This is not official letter to the press |
I dont think it is advisable for judiciary to be interfering in political issues like this |
Corruption from the management of our hospitals. On another note why are the pharmaceutical companies looking for forex to procure machine and equipments to produce the drugs? Does that mean they dont have the capacity in the first place and still they went and source for the funds from the government? 40 pharma companies? Who are these companies and what is their physical addresses and drug production type and capacity? I dont think we have upto 10 standard pharmaceutical companies in Nigeria. So who are those mushroom companied trying to dupe the nation? Our problems start with us as people |
Good development The truth is every single location attacked by these criminals there are resident collaborators directing them. The day we clean up our areas of this collaborators means the days of insecurity will be over |
abraham324:Mr. Man what did you want to achieve with the above intentional blackmailing of the police force? After all you wrote above why cant you go to the court there in delta and proove all your assumptions so that you can get justice for your so called sister? You want the police to do your dirty job for you. And still you will be amongst those that will shout Police are only arresting Southern chiefs or christian chiefs. When you are dining with the same chiefs you didnt call on public to come to your rescue. But now that the milking cow is no longer accessable you are jumping from post to pillar shouting blue murder, while no single evidence shows that. You want the police to confirm your dreamy imagination and punish your so conceived enemy. Get life. if you indeed have the above proof go to court not media |
Amotolongbo:Sorry which book has ever quoted that? And mind you Abdussalam became president in 1998, but he was part of the provisional ruling council of the Army. 1996 is not very far that one will not remember |
SportsHD:Likewise he cant proove that he graduate. Atleast if he passed the previous Exams he did not pass the Exam he just wrote before posing for this picture YET |
Even USA is not fully ready for electronic collation of results. Since 2000 they always have one issue or the other on the method of transmission on every single election whereby sometimes they have to go for manual recount. Check 2000, 2004, 2008, 2012, 2016 and the recently 2020 US elections. Yes, Technology is good but remember the repercussions. Even last week Microsoft has to make a public warning to disable printer spooling application from windows software because of the recently found vulnerability detected which can be used to hack systems. This printer spooling application has been updated twice in the last 3 months and the same problem arises again. And this is from the world's biggest and most advanced operating system software. In 2010 when I was doing my service in OYO state we are the registration officers that did the data capture registration for INEC. The first few days there was this problem of fingerprint not capturing. I have experience on Linux operating system, so I was able to enter the linux core system and open the fingerprint module. i found out that the accepted percent was originally 95% i change it to 50% and it started accepting fingerprints of eligible voters. The following day before going to our respective registration points i did the same thing to three other systems of my friends/colleagues and it works perfectly. so it became normal every single day i will do it for some systems before we set out in the morning. This continues untill when the technical team of INEC came with the update, this update is nothing but they reduce the percentage from 95% to 40%. That is when the registration start moving fast. I gave the above example to show how vulnerable the INEC computer was. and imagine if the result is to be transferred what i can make the system to do. Any one that has experience on Linux or Unix system understands what i am talking about. and about 95% of servers on the internet or running Linux operating system. INEC is also running Linux system 100% . so all a single person need is the root password of the server you can do and undo, or a team of those with linux experience to enter into as many as possible systems on the election day and temper with the system. this is possible because there is no single operating system that doesn't have backdoor port it just depend on the know how of the intending hacker to find it. And if you know how to cover your track it will take years before someone notice your malicious single line of code. The only way to secure a computer 100% is to make it offline 100% which will be useless in this INEC saga |
I personally tried the app and receive response from police command in less than 5 min even though today is a public holiday. Iadvise every Nigerian to install this app for energency purposes. |
This app is from Nigerian police for automatic reporting of crimes or emergency. It needs a lot of permission but i believe in the long run the advantages of the app overwhelmingly outweighs the disadvantages. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.appcrunk.npf
