When yorugbas open up silly threads about Igbos, you don't beg them to take it easy. You aren't seen nothing yet.

I thought you will be sending this sort of message in this photograph to Hausas. They have polluted your so much loved Yorugba land with this sort of people. This should be your worry.

olaheavy: The cannibals will readily opine that because Lagos was once a Federal Capital they have the inalienable right to 'live and die' in Yorubaland. What they fail to sink into their igbotic thick skulls is that Calabar also was a former capital of Nigeria, but they don't see Yoruba folks rushing and grabbing the place, as they Igbo human eaters do in Yorubaland. Alarmingly scary, more than 100 Ekenedili Chukwu luxurious buses (full of Igbo aj'eniyan) leave the East for Yorubaland on a daily basis!
Can you go back to your jungle as you have got the attention you so much need, Shameless maggot.
We have voters registration list and we have census list. If you are not a descent of Oduduwa,, then you must be a descent of Bayajidda and Fodio and El Kanemi......but if your ancestry is untraceable....then your classification in Lagos is that of a refugee. All refugees in Yorubaland will be properly identified and tagged in our records.
Kid, you need to grow up.

You are a class B Lagosian. You are recognized and accepted. Of course, you know your limits. When push comes to shove, your ancestry will be pointed out.

Modern day Binis are almost tempted to claim Yoruba citizenship how much more those who have been assimilated in Yorubaland.

PS: You are Ibo and a troll.Try harder.

"You are a class B Lagosian" "Modern day Binis are almost tempted to claim Yoruba citizenship how much more those who have been assimilated in Yorubaland"

Common Coon, Grow Up.
Don't mind the castrated pigs here claiming Lagos this and that. As the Bini guy claimed Bini though born in Lagos, why can't this pigs claim Okitipupa, Ilesha, Egbado etc. Lagos don suffer oo.

Am a Bini Man, Born and Bred in Benin, I have lived in Owerri now in Lagos. Love the East(nice people I lived with in Owerri) as well the West (wonderful Yoruba friends) . With all experiences, Never see ANY BINI MAN tempted to claim Yoruba (just as the young Man was quick to point out He's a Bini Man though born and bred in Lagos).

Why are some people so myopic ?

Am a Nigerian and When I buy your Fathers Land and build on it, come and lay claim because you are a Class A Lagosian........you go know the difference between Pepper and Tatashe.

olaheavy: LOL! Of course, you Igbos are 'rootless' and 'cultureless' indeed. You sure don't have a clue where your ancestry was from: If you motherfvckers don't claim Isreals, some of you dogs will readily claim Ethiopia. Walahi talahi, I even heard some Igbo cannibals claim your origin was from Japan. Why do you shamwless animals go about looking for more and more territories to claim as yours? You fools claim not to be Nigerian (that you want Biafra or some sh!!t like that) but at the same time, Igbo scumbags like Afam4nothing and bashiru8 cintend that Lagos state would be divided if Nigeria disintegrated. Tell us, what do you usurping maggots really want? Oleeeeeee! Omo Igbo aj'eniyan!
Attention seeker, no one is interested in your idiotic tales here. Go back to your poverty ravaged towns and quit claiming Lagos. Shameless Yorubie.

olaheavy: As a matter of fact, the Boko Haram should be encouraged to murder more of those Igbo human eaters! I repeat, when the time is ripe (very soon) the savagery which the Igbo savages will meet in our hands will be more than what they endure now with the Hausa/Fulani's Boko Haram. I implore the Yoruba to leave the Igbo scumbags alone, for now. If possible, let's bait them into thinking they're stakeholders in Lagos state and other Yoruba territories - so as to afford them a false sense of belonging. The scavenging Igbos will not see it coming when we pounce on them and go buckwild (the Boko Haram way) on them! Yes, Igbo cannibals, it's true, you own Lagos state, you're Lagosians, you're Jews, you're the lost lambs, sorry, tribe of Isreal, you own Nigeria, you own North, West, and everywhere, you're number one. Please, build more mansions on our lands and continue investing heavily in our Yorubaland - you will come to know. Oloriburuku, aku ma moju i di, ole, jaguda, onijibiti, 419, oloorun, aj'enyan, onidoti gbogbo!

bobbydbobo: Not Sounding knowledgable or using intellectual arrogance, I'm a Historian nd this same question while in school was taken seriously nd has been answered many times by people in the society... The question of the status of Lagos nd the Question of " who are lagosians". Illd tell u the answer to that after much scholarly debate by notable people in the society... : we can not say that because some people do not share ancestral affinity with lagos that they are not Lagosians, Lagosians are those who have cut all ties to any other place, nd have no other place to go as Home or call home, these are Lagosians.
Well said, all those who claim Lagos and yet still go home for Osun festival should hide their faces in shame.
What you have in Lagos are people who come from Osun, Ekiti, Ogun etc claiming Lagos. Yet they will be quick to tell someone from Delta, Akwa Ibom etc that they are not Lagosians. Lagos has the largest concentration of fools in Nigeria. It's true.

A Lagosian is a person whose ancestral origin lies in Lagos state.
In that case only Eguns are Lagosians. Others are immigrats to Lagos.
You missed the point!

The Yoruba nature and viewpoint on life and humanity is consistent....whether its a Yoruba in Lagos, Oyo, Ondo, Ijebu or anywhere else. You can look in our own comonwealth and you see diveraity. Ibadan was a far bigger cosmopolitan city than Lagos. Ilorin was probably the first Yoruba mega city. Our accomodation and embrace of diversity is inborn. We welcome goodwill and humility, we deest and repulse arrogance and ingratitude.

Ibo is arrogance and ingratitude and you are Lagosian so long we accept and embrace you as Lagosians. constiution of Nigeria cannot make u Lagosians.....only Yoruba can make you that. If you dont conform to the customs and good behavior expectwd of omoluabi we wil expel yiu. you wil not be classed into the communoty of Lagosians.
Negro, stop flogging a dead horse. You have summarised the thread earlier and we all agreed. Even me an Igbo refugee in Lagos is a Lagosian. Stick to it and don't go round in circles looking for this and that to spill.

PStylish: Sharrap. No Yoruba is claiming Lagos indigeneship wrongly.

But just like an ibo is better placed than a yoruba anytime anywhere in ibo so is a Yoruba man forever better placed in Lagos and in other parts of the SW.

Yorubas hold elective positions in Lagos. No big deal. Such benefits are off limits to non yorubas like you especially the ibos.

As regards my town, there is an area in Ikorodu - Ijede to be precise. Our people are there. They are indigenes and land owners.

BELOW IS THE ORDER OF PRECEDENCE IN LAGOS AS REGARDS CITIZENSHIP AND THEIR GRADES:

1. Lagos indigenes - First Class (hold elective positions and the governorship position)

2. All Yorubas universe wide - 2nd Class Upper (hold major elective positions)

3. Nupes, Edos - 2nd Class Lower (hold minor/petty elective positions e.g councillorship)

4. Other tribes (Igbos, Hausa Fulani,Efik,Ibibio etc) - 3rd Class (hold one or 2 irrelevant political appointments)

An ibo man(one Metuh) ran to be a member of the Lagos State House of Assembly in the last election. He suffered the hugest loss of the election in that category - in an area that is perceived to have a huge ibo population in the state. Grand illusions at work characteristic of Igbos.

Lagos state has published a book on its history. Read it and be informed.
I have read portions of it. The Bini story was inconspicuously absent.

Don't be a revisionist or "alawomo".

Some perceived ibos have been deported to their respective states. We are gradually driving home the point. All the lands you ibos claim to own in Lagos are all on lease. They'll have to be relinquished when the time comes.

My guy, Lagos and Yoruba land relationship is too complex for your brain to comprehend. Just leave it.
Monkey, this your long epistle is very irrelevant here. You call people third class and second class in their own state and country. Fool, you are a no brainer.

All those Yorubas, Ndigbo, Binis etc you mentioned are Lagosians. End of story. Am not happy with the idle brains here who claim Lagos but find it difficult to accept others as Lagosians e.g the Binis, Ndigbo, Nupes etc.

Dudu negro claims Lagos, Desola claims Lagos, Sbeezy claims Lagos. You asked for one and I have given 3. If you ask for 30, I will give you 300.

saxywale: No mind dem jare. Jide Omoworare from ifako/ijaiye constituency came all the way from Ife to become the speaker of the Lagos State house of Assembly. He is now a Senator representing Osun East. That's the essence of the great Yoruba lineage. The guy would proudly call himself a lagosian but he is from Osun by state of origin.
That was a last option. He couldn't survive the heat in Lagos, so he has to go where the competition is less.

dayokanu: Ileke idi has always claimed Ekiti, Dapobear has always claimed Ekiti, Naijababe has always claimed Ogun and Jarus has always claimed Kwara, Sagamite has always claimed Ogun and Rhino has always been proudly Ondo, Fstranger is Osun through and through.

So who are the Yorubas who falsely claim Lagos
Minus this few you mentioned, others claim Lagos state. It is nice though for them to see pride in their towns. Probably, they are following your footsteps.
