My condolences to you. |
I think the whole boy/girl war thing on this forum is mostly something of an inside joke. I'm pointing out the obvious here but only a few Nigerian girls really think Naija guys are ugly and vice-versa. To those few who really think this way: If Nigerian women are beutiful, how are they having ugly sons? If Nigerian men are cute, how are they having ugly daughters |
I would forgive anyone that is willing to change their ways - in the future, if I feel she's the one. But at that point in time, after discovering it - NO. |
mykali:Zambia 2 Gabon 1 Cameroun 2 Tunisia 2 Thanks for using the n-guage ACON hotline. That'll be $100. |
But Gabon has less points than both Zambia and Cameroun, so they don't count in the head2head equations. It's quite likely Eurosport is mistaken. EDIT: I take this post back, I now understand why Zambia's on top. |
ow11:It makes sense this way. EUROSPORT still has Zambia on top of Group D. I actually think Cameroun is very beatable, they've conceeded 5 goals in the tournament, if we have a coach who's able to read games, we should win them. |
Angola 2010 ACON Tie-breaking criteriaGo through this 50 page document if you want |
dayokanu:There's no time for mini-leagues in this tournament though, so fair play is used and if that's tied too, they draw lots. |
RuuDie:Same thing I noticed. Using head-to-head in a tournament like this is ludicrous. Head-to-head is used in series that have home and away games, no? |
Why are the commentators saying Cameroon vs Egypt? |
Siasia would be appointed as a technical adviser, they'll keep Amodu as a figure head and call him "Chief Coach." Please don't believe me. |
I noticed it too. If he's pissed now I wonder how he'll react when Siasia kicks him out of the team all together. |
mazaje:Ha! You got me, If words from Jesus don't count then I don't have any evidence that there's a place where natural disasters don't happen. But I have lots of evidences that treasures in this world would be affected by "rusts, moths and thieves." |
You know what I'm against? Any question that has a condescending, "I just proved you wrong" tone. Especially one in a time like this. I understand the participant's point of view very much since I used to participate in these arguments a while back. But when stop and reason with yourself, what do you stand to gain? With that said, I'll go ahead and answer the question at hand. Man-made Disasters: If I rent a room to you and you refuse to keep your room clean, insects and parasites would come in and harm you. Natural Disasters: Jesus knows about natural disasters, listen when he says that treasures upon earth would get corrupted by rust. Everything reminds us that this world is not permanent. It would surely fall apart one day and that's why we need to keep our treasures where disasters of any kind never happen. |
Whenever events like this happen, a thread like this is inevitable. Whenever there's a thread like this, "Christianity vs Islam" arguments are always the biggest part of it. There's nothing as "anti-religion" as arguments about religion. |
^^^ The difference between those other questions is that they have negative connotations. "Cheaters, slut, 419, drug peddles" These word all have negative connotations. I asked "Are most Nigerians honest? |
The question doesn't stereotype in anyway. What if I said "Are most Nigerians dishonest?" See, it's a question and you should learn to stop being quick to see people's words as words against you. |
Harakiri, where's the stereotyping? I only asked a question. |
You need some sort of link to back up your claims. |
harakiri:Imagine talking to a girl and (BOOM) NEPA strikes, I know the phone service isn't all that reliable too. You know what has a lot to do with online dating? Honesty. Are most Nigerians honest? |
Nigerians abroad or Nigerians in Nigeria? I don't know what internet access is like in Nigeria, but I know NEPA is still as faithful as ever. |
tunku:I'll go out on a limb and say she's being sarcastic. She has a peculiar sense of humour. |
John 8:34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. Many people don't understand this, they defend themselves by going on at length about original sin and Adam. Wake up Christians. |
starting lineup: Enyeama, Yusuf, Echiejile, Etuhu, Yobo, Nwaneri, Mikel, Uche, Odemwingie, Obasi, Yak Yusuf Mohammed keeps his place at right back, Yak keeps his place in the attack too. Uche comes into the midfield and Etuhu is asked to play a deeper role. Echiejile is in for Taiye Taiwo. |
I should introduce something I practice, I call it Psalm Meditation. Reading the psalms so much makes me want to write my own praises and prayers in a Psalm-ish pattern. Nobody ever gets to read it so I don't have to worry about impressing anyone, I mix Yoruba and English and just write whatever comes to my mind, sometimes I just write the same thing over and over again, I sit down and just write verses to God, it helps me connect to God. And when I write, I enter a state that may be indescribable; warm and ticklish feelings fill me and I feel like I'm floating. |
sweetguy10:I'm happy for you. It shall be permanent. . it shall be permanent. What the lord has done for you shall be permanent. |
Yes, I also love Psalm 1, I recite it day and night. Blessed is the man that worketh not in the cousel of the ungodly, not standeth in the way of sinner, and [I] shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth [my] fruit in due season; my leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever I doeth shall prosper. The reason I like Psalm 73 a lot is because it reminds me of the time I spent chasing vanity and suffering when I didn't know Love. It's like the Psalmist wrote down my exact experiences, 2 But as for me, my feet had almost slipped; I had nearly lost my foothold. 3 For I envied the arrogant when I saw the prosperity of the wicked. 4 They have no struggles; their bodies are healthy and strong. 5 They are free from the burdens common to man; they are not plagued by human ills. 6 Therefore pride is their necklace; they clothe themselves with violence. 7 From their callous hearts comes iniquity; the evil conceits of their minds know no limits. 8 They scoff, and speak with malice; in their arrogance they threaten oppression. 9 Their mouths lay claim to heaven, and their tongues take possession of the earth. 10 Therefore their people turn to them and drink up waters in abundance. 11 They say, "How can God know? Does the Most High have knowledge?" 12 This is what the wicked are like— always carefree, they increase in wealth. 13 Surely in vain have I kept my heart pure; in vain have I washed my hands in innocence. 14 All day long I have been plagued; I have been punished every morning. 15 If I had said, "I will speak thus," I would have betrayed your children. 16 When I tried to understand all this, it was oppressive to me 17 till I entered the sanctuary of God; then I understood their final destiny. 18 Surely you place them on slippery ground; you cast them down to ruin. 19 How suddenly are they destroyed, completely swept away by terrors! 20 As a dream when one awakes, so when you arise, O Lord, you will despise them as fantasies. 21 When my heart was grieved and my spirit embittered, 22 I was senseless and ignorant; I was a brute beast before you. 23 Yet I am always with you; you hold me by my right hand. 24 You guide me with your counsel, and afterward you will take me into glory. 25 Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you. 26 My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. 27 Those who are far from you will perish; you destroy all who are unfaithful to you. 28 But as for me, it is good to be near God. I have made the Sovereign LORD my refuge; I will tell of all your deeds. |
Post your favorite Psalm and if you wish tell why you like it the most. I like Psalm 73:25: Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you. |
Hey Debosky, you're also right bu I never said those two factors - Malian resilience and Angolan lackadaisical defending - were exclusive of each other in any way. |
As far as I'm concerned, the comeback should not be attributed to Keshi. He had a part to play in it though, a very tiny part. The comeback is from resilence on the part of the players. No coach plans to conceed 2 penalties and go down by 4. |
I am using generator (as always) so what gives?
