Politics / Re: Akpabio Vs Nunieh: NDDC Releases Official Statement by Niaja4real(m): 2:50pm On Jul 15, 2020

OFFICE OF THE HONOURABLE MINISTER
MINISTRY OF NIGER DELTA AFFAIRS
11th Floor, Federal Secretariat, Phase I, Shehu Shagari Way, Abuja, Nigeria.
Tel: +234 (0) 98703229

PRESS RELEASE

The attention of the Honourable Minister of the Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio, CON has been drawn to a cornucopia of false, malicious, and libellous press interviews granted by Ms. GBENE JOI NUNIEH, the erstwhile Acting Managing Director of the Interim Management Committee, of the Niger Delta Development Commission, (NDDC) in some news and social media platforms and a series of concerted vicious campaigns of calumny deviously orchestrated by her against his person ranging from allegation of corruption, sexual and workplace harassments, pipelines bombings, secret cult activities, abuse of office, amongst other lies peddled by her.

The Honourable Minister's initial attitude was to allow his lawyers and the judicial system vindicate him of the false allegations against him, but he is compelled to react to some of the wayward allegations levied against his person by Ms. Nunieh, especially the one bothering on sexual harassment.

To start with, let it be known that there is no scintilla of truth in all the allegations peddled around by Ms. Nbnieh. They are simply false! The Honourable Minister did not at any time, place or circumstance make any form of sexual advances to Ms. Nunieh, not even to put himself in a position or posture suggestive of sexual advances towards Ms. Nunieh, or any female staff of his Ministry or the NDDC.

For the records, the Honourable Minister, Senator Godswill Akpabio, CON is happily married and contented with his wife. Together they are blessed with children, four (4) of whom are young women. The Honourable Minister is an avid believer of the Affirmative Action and that was visible in the appointments he made as a two (2) term Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State between 2007 and 2015. Under his watch, he • appointed several women into various high level positions as
Chairpersons of Local Government Councils, Magistrates, Judges, Heads of Parastatals, Directors, Permanent Secretaries, and Commissioners.

He is the first Governor in Akwa Ibom State to have a female Deputy Governor, was also the first to appoint female Chief Justices of the High Court, recommended women for ministerial appointments one of whom was the Minister of Housing and Urban Development, and supported for appointment the first female Vice Chancellor of the only Federal University in the State etc. He has always championed and still champions the cause of women and young children.

Whilst the Governor of Akwa-lbom State, the Honourable Minister summoned the political will and effrontery to stop modern day slavery in his state, where young women and children were ferried away from the State to other states in Nigeria to be used for all sorts of menial chores as house maids and most suffered unimaginable unethical trade malpractices and maltreatments. He ensured that anyone caught in that trade was severely punished. He signed the Child Rights Law to protect children, especially the girl child from stigmatization and punishment by ordeal where some were executed or banished on allegation of witchcraft. The Child Rights Law also made primary and secondary education in Akwa Ibom State free and compulsory; educating the girl child was his topmost priority.

The Honourable Minister has never tfden his admiration and respect for his wife, Mrs. Ekaete Akpabio, Chi,dren and sisters, he therefore felt compelled to react to the malicious attack on his person by Ms. Nunieh bothering on allegations of sexual harassment. The Honourable Minister therefore finds the said allegation nauseating and a very cheap blackmail, for Ms. Nunieh to suggest or insinuate that he sexually harassed her, while she was the Acting Managing Director of the NDDC.

The Honourable Minister also finds it appalling that, Ms. Nunieh, never deemed it fit to report the alleged incident to the police at the earliest opportunity she had, before, during or after her tenor as the Acting Managing Director on 17th February, 2020, if indeed the allegation was true. Waiting till July 10th and 13th 2020 when the National Assembly appears to be probing some of her actions as the Acting Managing Director of the Interim Management Committee ("IMC"wink exposes her motive, especially at a time when the momentum for the Forensic Audit
Investigation of the NDDC is heating up and the truth is about to be unveiled for all to see? The critical question is who is afraid of the Forensic Audit at the NDDC? Who is Afraid of the Truth?

There is no doubt that Ms. Nunieh's attacks are both personal and sponsored. Those afraid of the truth, and who wish to bury it from seeing the light of the day, are strenuously behind Ms. Nunieh's vicious campaign of calumny.

The Honourable Minister has a mandate from Mr. President, President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR to unearth alleged looting and financial misappropriation that had gone on at the NDDC since its inception in 2001. He is committed to that mandate through the forensic audit of the NDDC and will not be deterred or distracted from that goal. The aim of this campaign of calumny is simpler get Senator Akpabio out, kill the forensic audit, and continue business as usual at the NDDC.
On the allegations of the Honourable Minister's involvement in contract racketeering, bombing of oil pipelines, corruption/diversion of funds, the Honourable Minister has stated several times and at various fora that since his assumption of office, he has only awarded three contracts till date- the appointment of the lead forepsic auditors which was approved by the Federal Executive Council the emergency procurement contract for COVID-19 intervention in the Niger Delta Area which due to its urgency had his interim approval and Presidential approval in line with the Bureau of Public Procurement Act and the award of Vehicles procurement duly approved by the Bureau of Public Procurement and the Federal Executive Council but yet to be consummated. It is noteworthy, that all these contracts went through due processes.

On her allegation that the Honourable Minister directed her to change the Dollars in the NDDC's Account; for the records, it should be noted that NDDC's Account is domiciled with the Central Bank of Nigeria. Every inflow and outflow is known and traceable. NDDC gets its revenue in Dollars which is paid directly to its Treasury Single Account (TSA) with the Central Bank of Nigeria. The Dollar is then converted to Naira by the CBN and paid into the NDDC Naira Account still domiciled with the CBN upon a written application from the NDDC. It is therefore impossible for any sum of money belonging to the NDDC with the CBN including the several figures bandied around as missing to be missing.

It is important to state, that unlike in the past where the NDDC had over three hundred (300) bank accounts in different commercial banks, that practice had since changed under the President Muhammadu Buhari's administration, which gave full effect to the application of the Treasury Single Account and the NDDC now has its accounts with the CBN. The Honourable Minister does not give verbal instructions to anybody, all instructions are in writing and in response to a request from the Commission.

On the allegation that the Honourable Minister directed Ms. Nunieh to remove Mr. Kaltungo, same is false. His track record marks him out as a totally detribalized politician and one of the best friends of Northern Nigeria. The Honourable Minister was informed by the NDDC management that over twenty three (23) top Management Staff, from various part of Nigeria including the Niger Delta region, who have evaded leave in the last ten (10) years or had the tendency to influence negatively the ongoing forensic audit were recommended for mandatory leave by the lead forensic auditors. They are still staff of the Commission currently receiving their monthly salaries and benefits.

The Honourable Minister has taken séps to instruct his lawyers to seek necessary redress in a Court of competent Jurisdiction on his behalf over the defamatory statements made by Ms. Nunieh.

On a final note, while encouraging all Nigerians to hold their leaders to account, he urges them to take their time to sift between the chaff and the substance before embarking on far reaching allegations, opinions and views.

Signed

There is absolutely no need for this long epistle okay.
You said your master wanted to wait for his lawyers & the Judicial system to exonerate him, which presupposes that he has sued Ms Joi Nunieh, so why is he recanting from his earlier stands of not joining issues with her
Beside, as an acclaim lawyer, speaking or authorising anyone to speak on his behalf in a matter that is subjudice amount to contempt of Court Ex Facie.
Better still, instead of coming to a social media space to clear himself of the alleged sexual harassment, he should do the needful by suing Ms Joi Nunieh for slander/libel,
Just my thinking though!

Politics / Re: Prophet Omale Denies Buying Property In Dubai For N57M On Behalf Of Magu by Niaja4real(m): 2:14pm On Jul 15, 2020
kidap:
Abuja-based Cleric Emmanuel Omale who was named in the money laundering investigation against suspended acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ibrahim Magu, has denied the allegations.
Omale was alleged to have served as conduit for buying a property in Dubai worth N573m on behalf of Magu'.

Apple's Bite Int'l Magazine gathered that Prophet Omale, who is also the General Overseer of Divine Hand of God Prophetic Ministries International, Abuja, said this in a pre-litigation letter addressed to the News Agency of Nigeria on Monday.

According to a letter signed by his lawyer, Chief Gordy Uche (SAN), the cleric said he indeed met Magu in Dubai earlier in the year but it was not for the purpose of purchasing a property, noting that the suspended EFCC boss had traveled to Dubai for medical reasons and he only prayed with him.

The cleric said the NAN report reeks of calumny, denigration, actuated by malice, and is calculated to ridicule and disparage him and cast a stain on his reputation; expose him to public hatred and contempt and injure him in his religious calling, as the General Overseer of Divine Hand of God Prophetic Ministries International.

The letter read in part, “We, however, wish to make the following clarifications to put the public records straight: That our client is the General Overseer of an Inter-denominational/Multi-religious Prayer Ministry.

“That our client, only visited Mr. Ibrahim Magu in a hospital in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, sometime in March 2020.

“That our client never laundered any funds whatsoever for Mr. Ibrahim Magu or for anybody whatsoever. Our client does not own any foreign bank account anywhere in the world.

“That there are no funds whatsoever traceable from Mr. Ibrahim Magu to our client’s bank accounts whatsoever neither has our client received any funds whatsoever from Mr. Ibrahim Magu. Our client has never received any funds whatsoever from anybody on behalf of Mr. Ibrahim Magu.

“That our client does not own any property in Dubai. His name was never used to purchase any property whatsoever in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, or anywhere else in any part of the world, neither has he purchased any property nor properties for Mr. Ibrahim Magu in any part of the world whatsoever.”

He subsequently asked the Federal Government-owned news agency to retract the publication which had severely injured his reputation, character, and calling.”

The cleric asked NAN to restrain itself from further defamation of his character or a libel suit of N1bn would be instituted against the agency.

NAN had on Saturday published a story citing a report issued by a Presidential panel set up to investigate the EFCC between 2015 and 2020.

The report which had been submitted to the President, Major-General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), accused Magu of being unable to account for the interest generated from cash recoveries of over N500bn.

In the report, Magu was accused of buying a property in Dubai through the Omale.

Politics / Re: FG Should Stop IPOB Before It Get Out Of Hand:- Lauretta Onochie Cries Out by Niaja4real(m): 2:04pm On Jul 15, 2020
izuswift:
Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari, Lauretta Onochie has reacted to the online activities and broadcast of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra on Facebook, says it is fast becoming online terrorism and must be stopped entirely.

However Lauretta Onochie has been in long ahead with members of IPOB over the years now as a result of her stand against Biafra referendum.

Buhari Special Adviser on Social Media who could not condole the much attacks she received from IPOB on daily basis through her social media platforms declared that very soon every IPOB online activities must stop as IPOB is fast becoming an Online Terrorist Organization.

According to her, “I may have Igbo background but that doesn’t mean i should support an agitation that will end up becoming irrelevant to us. IPOB are not serious with what they’re doing and should not be taken serious.

“Any Elder that has allowed him or herself to be tossed around by IPOB members must go to hospital for brain surgery. Nnamdi Kanu only specializes on shouting on Facebook but end up achieving nothing.

It’s obvious IPOB have shifted from live terrorism group to online terrorist Organization. What IPOB do not understand is that the Federal government can prohibit any online terrorist organization either on Facebook or any other social media platforms.

“As Special Adviser to Mr. President on Social Media, it’s high time we start looking into this very important issue and how to stop them before it gets out of hand.

“Nigerian peace remains undebatable and non negotiable. Every terrorist organization in Nigeria must be crushed like we are dealing with Boko Haram. No place for them in Nigeria.” she said

However, it could be gathered that the IPOB leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu had earlier warned Lauretta Onochie in one of his online broadcast to desist from prostitution and human trafficking and that tends to infuriate Lauretta Onochie, since then she have been hitting and slamming IPOB and their leader on any slightest opportunity.

Politics / Re: Godswill Akpabio Insist on Forensic Audit of NDDC by Niaja4real(m): 10:07am On Jul 15, 2020
Exclusive101:
The Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godswill Akpabio, on Tuesday, said the present regime was committed to repositioning the Niger Delta Development Commission despite the grumblings being experienced.

The National Assembly has been probing the finances of the intervention agency with the exercise throwing up a lot of revelations.

The exercise had also thrown up counter-allegations between the minister and a former Managing Director of the commission, Joy Nunieh.

In a meeting with journalists in Abuja on Tuesday, however, Akpabio who was asked to react to some of the accusations made against him by Nunieh said he would rather not discuss personalities but focus on the region.

The minister who promised to talk to the press at the appropriate time, said: “We are very determined to reposition the NDDC.”

The former Akwa Ibom State governor attributed the commission’s problem to what he called “years of endemic corruption.”

“The President is determined to be remembered as the President that cleaned up the place and I am committed to this,” the minister added.

He said the forensic auditors approved by the Federal Executive Council for the commission had started work with hundreds of documents made available to them and there was no going back.

The former Senate Minority Leader said the “grumblings” trailing the exercise were further confirmation that people do not like a change in the status quo.

He insisted that the forensic audit was not meant to witch-hunt but to reposition the commission.

He said as a stakeholder in the Niger Delta, he was personally not impressed with the activities of the NDDC while he was a governor and a senator.

He said that was why it remains one of his priorities after being appointed as the minister overseeing the commission to ensure that changes are made.

Akpabio said he would like to see the NDDC that will construct good roads, bridges and other infrastructure in the Niger Delta and operate from its headquarters rather than a commission that will be paying rents for offices and buying expensive cars for its officials.

He added, “l will like to see roads, bridges and other infrastructure in Niger Delta. I will like to see a region where employment opportunities abound; I will like to see an end to amnesty where ex-militants will have jobs and not be relying on stipends.

“I will like to see Niger Delta rice and water being sold. I will like to see Niger Delta specialist hospitals.

“I will like to see a commission that does not pay for hotels but has its own guest house; a commission that does not pay rent for its headquarters; a commission whose budget will cater for the people 100 per cent.

“As a minister, I am committed to these ideals but we cannot achieve them if a parastatal under me does not cooperate.”

On the alleged “missing” N40bn, the minister said, “Money could have been missing in those days when the commission has over 300 bank accounts.

“Now, there is only one account which is the Treasury Single Account domiciled with the Central Bank of Nigeria.

“So, it is not possible for somebody to go and withdraw money anyhow.”

He said since he assumed office as the minister, he had only approved two contracts for the commission. He listed the two contracts as the appointment of forensic auditors and the COVID-19 intervention by the NDCC.

“Things must change. If you plant a seed, it must first die before it germinates.

“Change is coming up for the people of Niger Delta amidst the grumbling.

“We shall target things that concern the Niger Delta and will bring progress,” the minister concluded.

Politics / Re: We Used N1.5bn To Take Care Of Ourselves As COVID-19 Palliative — NDDC MD by Niaja4real(m): 9:53am On Jul 15, 2020
OsusuBishop:
The acting Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Kemebradikumo Pondei, has admitted that the commission spent N1.5 billion for staff as ‘COVID-19 relief funds’.

He made this statement at the investigative hearing on the N40 billion corruption allegation against the commission.

The Senate had on May 5 set up a seven-man ad-hoc committee to investigate the “financial recklessness” of the Interim Management Committee (IMC) of the commission.

The lawmakers said, within the last three months, the commission has spent over N40 billion of the commission’s fund ”without recourse to established processes of funds disbursement which has opened up further suspicion among stakeholders of the Niger Delta Region.”

They also faulted the IMC’s ”arbitrary use of executive power in an alleged wrongful sacking of management staff without recourse to established civil service rules and practice with the aim of allegedly concealing the fraudulent financial recklessness they have committed.”

Mr Pondei and other delegates from the commission appeared before the committee on Thursday for the hearing.

Part of the audit report read out by the chairman of the committee, Olubunmi Adetunmbi, said N3.1 billion was spent as COVID-19 funds between October 2019 and May 2020.

In the report, the lawmaker said ”N10 million was paid to one person, N7 million to two people, N5 million to three people, 148 people took N3 million each, 157 people got N1.5 million each, 497 people got N1 million each and 464 people were paid N600,000 each.”

Another N475 million was given to the police to purchase face masks and hand sanitisers, he added.

Another N475 million was given to the police to purchase face masks and hand sanitisers, he added.

Responding to questions regarding the COVID-19 Relief Fund paid to NDDC staff, the MD said ”only N1.5 billion was used to take care of staff” despite being paid their salaries.

He explained that part of the fund was for the youth of Niger Delta.

”The youth were given palliatives to help cushion the effect of the pandemic on the people. The youth were idle and to avoid violence, they were paid,” he said.

“Five million for youths and five million for women and five million for people living with disabilities in each senatorial district,” he said.

He said ”the remaining fund was spent on staff of the commission.”

“We used it to take care of ourselves. We are NDDC, we need to take care of ourselves too,” he said.

When asked why the police was given N475 million, Mr Pondei said a request was made from ”the high command of police and the management took a look at it and approved it.”

He explained that the money ”was an intervention and the NDDC is expecting a report as to how the money was spent.”

Meanwhile, the acting deputy director, projects, Cairo Ojougboh, added that the money given to police is for nine states of the Niger Delta region.

The investigative hearing will continue on Friday, the chairman said.

The report in a section of the media that I, Rev Fr Ejike Mbaka, the Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministry Enugu has prophesied the sack of a South East Governor before the end of this year is a contumacious falsehood.

The allusions made by the mischievous author of the said report to Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State is a figment of the writer's imagination.

For the records Adoration Ministry Enugu is yet to resume after I suspended the Ministry's programme since March 2020 following the restrictions that came with the outbreak of the Covid 19 pandemic.

Since then I have not made any public prophecy of such anywhere but has been immersed in prayers for the healing of the World of the global pandemic and need not be distracted at this point.

It is a thing of concern that mischief makers, impostors and agent of darkness have continued to use my name to achieve their selfish missions in different media inspite of several warnings.

People should be careful of the wrath of God.

The ministry has taken this ugly trend seriously and shall liaise with security agencies to fish out the culprits and make them scapegoats.

GODWINLOWSKI:
Born on the 14th of July 1974 (source: wikipedia), Abubakar Shekau, the leader of the fearsome Islamic terrorist group, Boko Haram has clocked 46 years old today.

Coincidentally, he assumed the role of leader and number one man of the militant group in July 2009, Abubakar Shekau has enjoyed 11 good years of his life leading the group that has been causing Nigerians pain.

Having joined the group in 2002, after he came in contact with Mohammed Yusuf, the former leader and founder of the group, it would took Abubakar Shekau 7 years to get to the top, making it 18 years in total that he has been part of the very same group responsible for taking the lives of hundreds of thousands of Nigerians, Chadians and Cameroonians, displacing millions others.

Nicknamed “Darul Tawheed”, meaning "specialist in tawheed", which is the Islamic concept of oneness of Allah, Abubakar Mohammed Al-Sheikawi believes in the monotheistic nature of God and that anyone who accepts polytheism and western influenced education or practice must die.

Born in Yobe State, Abubakar Shekau is a Kanuri man, and also a Salafi, an Islamic doctrine that believes in keeping hold of ancient practices and stand against any form of innovation.

Bad memories come to mind when the name, Abubakar Shekau is mentioned. Seeing and knowing that a man responsible for depriving people peace, and rest of mind has just turned 46 years is painful.

A lot of innocent bloods has been shed at his command. Thousands of people have lost their homes and hundreds others have become strangers in their own backyard because of him.

I remember Inspector James and Lance Corporal Emmanuel. I remember the many soldiers and gallant men who fell while trying to protect the rest of us from this man. I remember the many others who are still alive but in danger of getting hurt because this man is somewhere there trying to hurt our country.

At his call, young brainwashed men wrap and blow themselves up with explosives, taking their lives and that of others. They think they are fighting for God, but rather they are fighting for themselves, carrying out the commands of a mere mortal who thinks that he has the power of life and death in his hands.

When others celebrate their birthdays, the world becomes happy, jubilant and excited that another circle has been completed in the age of a citizen of the world. But can we do the same for Abubakar Shekau?

In 2009, the Nigerian security forces thought he had been killed after the clash they had with Boko Haram, However, he resurfaced in a video debunking the news, showing himself fit as a fiddle. Since then, Abubakar Shekau has been reportedly killed over 4 times, but he still came out to deny every single report of his death.

May this birthday be his last. This is my wish and prayer for Abubakar Shekau and Boko Haram.

After being killed many times by the Nigerian army, he came back to celebrate 46 birthday.

Politics / Re: Akpabio Force NDDC To Pay N1bn To 4,000 Staffs As COVID19 Palliative -joy Nunieh by Niaja4real(m): 1:17pm On Jul 13, 2020
Gjrich:

Currently, there is trouble in Trouble in Nigeria's Niger-Delta Commission (NDDC), as its former Acting MD, Joy Nunieh accuses Minister Godswill Akpabio of corruption.

Joy Nunieh, who was recently sacked by the Niger Delta Minister, Godswill Akpabio, accused him of corruption, gross abuse of office by awarding 30 contracts to himself and requesting the sack of some officials who opposed his decisions in the commission.

In a video making rounds online, Dr Joy is seen telling journalists how Godswill Akpabia on the first day of resumption at the NDDC headquarters, was awarded 30 contracts running into billions of naira.

Trying to oppose him, the former governor of Akwa Ibom and now Minister, threatened to sack her if she refuses to dance to his tune.

According to her, "nobody makes any sort of payment in the Niger Delta Development Commission without Godswill Akpabio's approval.

"On the day of inauguration, he said to me in the car, 'Madam MD, if you do not do what I say, the same pen I used to sign your paper is the same I will use to remove you.

She also recounted how Akpabio manipulated her into going to Port Harcourt, Rivers State, to change the dollars in the NDDC account.

"I refused out of fear and he claimed that I have a poverty mentality for me to be afraid of money."

She continued to expose Godswill Akpabio & the scam going on inside the NDDC on how the commission paid over N1bn to just 4000 of its staff as COVID19 palliatives, while hungry Nigerians were left with nothing.

N86m was spent on overseas travels alone, from February to May, despite the lockdown.

The former Ag MD leveled the shocking allegation on Akpabio after appearing before the Senate and ad hoc committee investigating the fraud in NDDC.

Dr. Joi Nunieh, former Interim Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC has reacted to various allegations leveled against her by the Minister of Niger Delta, Sen. Godswill Akpabio in an interview on Arise TV 'This Morning Show.' Nunieh has strongly disregarded Akpabio's claims.

Dr. Joy Nunieh alleged that Akpabio tried every means to make her take a blood oath of secrecy while in office.

In her words, “Godswill Akpabio wanted me to take a blood oath of secrecy in Abuja.”

Nunieh claimed Sen. Akpabio attempted to take advantage of her as a woman to get down on her after she refused to yield to his manipulations.

She further said, “I am the only woman in Nigeria to have slapped Akpabio” – says Dr Joi Nunieh, detailing the incident when Minister Godswill Akpabio wanted to take advantage of her.”

I Slapped Akpabio For Harassing Me Sexually - Former NDDC Boss Explains

The Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio had earlier responded to allegations of corruption levelled against him by Joy Nunieh, a former Acting Managing Director of the Interim Management Committee (IMC) of the Niger Delta Development Commission, (NDDC).
Mrs Nunieh accused Akpabio of engaging in various forms of corruption in his administration of the NDDC.
She also told some newsmen after honoring the summon of the Senate ad-hoc committee, investigating NDDC on Friday that “nobody makes any payment in NDDC without Akpabio’s approval.”

She said, “When we first came, on the day of the inauguration, he (Akpabio) said to me in the car, ‘Madam MD, if you don’t do what I say, the same pen with which I used to sign your paper is the same pen I’ll use to remove you.”

Godswill Akpabio spoke out in an interview responding the allegations laid against him, he announced that the former NDDC MD had a character problem that the four husbands she had and divorced could explain.
He meanwhile, said that Nunieh was not sacked because of corruption, but because of her insubordination and lack of the prerequisite certificates to head an agency.
The minister blamed himself for having a soft spot for women, saying that the soft spot he had for them was the reason he never wanted to spite the former NDDC MD by making her educational deficiencies public.

“I don’t want to discuss her because that’s not the job of a Minister.
“The last MD you mentioned, Joy Nunieh, I wish she can go to hospital, see a doctor take some injections and relax.
“I’m not saying that there’s something wrong with her, but I’m saying there’s something wrong with her temperament. Remember she had about four other husbands that she married.
“You also need to bring all the other former husbands to the studio so that you ask them questions one after the other because it looks like character.
“They will have answers to her problem. Not a professional conduct, is she a professional?
“They will tell you about her characters because what I’m seeing here…if somebody comes up and say something on television channel…then the whole world…Nigerians love bad news and my job is to protect the citizens of the country and the administration of Mr. President.
“I must tell you that even Mr. President, President Buhari was not aware of all these things because I did not want to bother because he will be shocked,” Akpabio said

Thereafter, Joy Nunieh, on Monday declared publicly that she slapped Godswill Akpabio, for sexually harassing her.
She said: “I slapped him. He tried to come on me. I am an Ogoni woman and nobody jokes with us. I showed Akpabio that Rivers women do not tolerate nonsense.”

Politics / Re: BREAKING: Prophet Joshua Names Three Nigerians to Suffer for Orji Kalu’s Sake by Niaja4real(m): 4:22pm On Jul 12, 2020
[quote author=Showbby28 post=91637947]A Nigerian Cleric , Prophet Joshua Arogun has revealed that a major conspiracy by three influential Nigerians led to the jailing of the former Governor of Abia state and current Chief Whip of the Senate , Senator Orji Uzor Kalu.

He added that one of them is dead, the second is facing national and international embarrassment and the third will suffer worse fate

Joshua , who is the General Overseer of Light of the World International Church, made the revelations on Sunday during the church’s ministration service in Lagos

His words, “During one of our monthly intensive prayers for Nigeria in 2019, I received a shocking message on the political situations of the country. I saw three very powerful Nigerians who were conspiring heavily to make sure that a former governor from the South East was jailed. I told my wife about it and we both prayed and sought for a clearer interpretation of the revelation. I got the three names and tried my best to reach out to the three of them after I received another very clear and fearful message of the harm that would befall them if they don’t retrace their steps . But I was ignored. One of them told Pastor Emmanuel (referring to a fellow pastor in the church ) that he doesn’t believe in prophecy, our religion and the message; the second person totally ignored the message. I told them that the person they want to disgrace is a man of grace from birth and the consequences of their trial will be so heavy on them .

Speaking further , he said ” After many months in the 2019, I heard that former governor Orji Kalu was sentenced to jail . Today, one of the conspirators is dead, the second person is facing national and international embarrassment and the third person who is even here in Lagos with us is going to suffer worse fate .

“There is this thing about grace and it is given from above. Sometimes when you touch a wrong person with overflowing grace , it would backfire. They want to destroy him because of his destiny to be President. But anyone planning evil on him will suffer the same fate as others . ” Prophet Joshua said

The Popular cleric also told the congregation that his greatest duty is to reveal the message as received adding that it is up to the people involved to do the right thing.

” I have never met any of them but the message would definitely get to them. Nigerian politicians are yet to understand that it is God that gives power not humans or godfathers. If God says it is you, then it is you . Nobody can stop it . When they try to stop it they end up pushing you closer to your destiny ” He also said

THE NIGERIA DAILY recalls that Prophet Joshua was in the news in 2014 when he controversially predicted Buhari’s victory in the 2015 general election.

His words then , ” For the upcoming 2015 election, God told me that Buhari would win ; . And God told me a lot of things about Buhari. It is He that anointed him to be the president and there is no questions about that. No one can change it . The people can hate him: the people can reject him but God has ordained him, and there is something about God. When He says that you would be this, no man can change it. He does what pleases Him.

Similarly in March 1,2020, Prophet Joshua had stated that a former governor who was imprisoned and was serving his jail terms would be released and become the President of Nigeria after Buhari. Many believed he was referring to ex Governor Orji Uzor Kalu who was at the time serving his 12 years jail terms .

However, in a twist of fate and in credence to the prophesy just like that of Buhari, the Supreme Court on May 8 nullified the judgment that sentenced Kalu to 12 years imprisonment and Kalu was set free.

Please, is there any other Country, the world over that is full of wickedness, backwardness, massive killings, near total collapse of governance and complete insensitivity on the part of government to her citizens, unprecedented level of mass looting of our common patrimony by both the civil servants and political office holders, systemic corruption as perpetrated by the world most corrupt politicians
I weep for this country.

nairalandankrah:

The sum of N1.5bn was used as COVID-19 relief fund for staff of the Niger Delta Development Commission, Kemebradikumo Pondei, Acting Managing Director of the commission, said.

Pondei disclosed this at the investigative hearing on the N40bn corruption allegation against the commission.

The Senate had on May 5 set up a seven-man ad-hoc committee to investigate the financial recklessness of the Interim Management Committee of the NDDC.

The MD and other delegates from the commission appeared before the committee on Thursday for the hearing.

Kemebradikumo Pondei
The lawmakers raised concerns over the spending at the NDDC, noting that the commission spent N40bn last three months without due process.

However, Pondei when giving account of how money was spent, said staff of the agency had to be catered for, too.

He said, “We used it (N1.5bn) to take care of ourselves. We are NDDC, we need to take care of ourselves too.

Part of the audit report read out by the Chairman of the committee, Olubunmi Adetunmbi, said N3.1bn was spent as COVID-19 funds between October 2019 and May 2020.

In the report, the lawmaker said, "N10m was paid to one person, N7m to two people, N5m to three people, 148 people took N3m each, 157 people got N1.5m each, 497 people got N1m each and 464 people were paid N600,000 each.”

Another N475m was given to the police to purchase face masks and hand sanitisers, he added.

MANofMEN:
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has written a letter to the Inspector General of Police seeking actions against an Online Publisher Mr Jackson Ude .

Mr Ude who operates from his New York base had alleged that the Vice President collected N4b from Mr Ibrahim Magu , the suspended chairman of EFCC who is presently undergoing investigation.

In a letter handed over the IG this morning in Abuja by Osinbajo’s lawyer Prof Taiwo Osipitan ( SAN) Osinbajo wants Ude taken in and prosecuted for criminal defamation following a wide publication of falsehood against him on social media.

In the letter having copies of the publication attached, Osinbajo ‘humbly’ requested the IG to “investigate all the allegations against him and if the suggested investigation confirms our complaint of the falsehood of these allegations , to initiate criminal proceedings pursuant to the provisions of section 391-395 of the penal Code Act for Criminal Defamation against the said Jackson Ude.”

Sources at the police headquarters this morning informed our reporter that the IG has immediately swung into action. The legal department of the police we are told will link up with Interpol to bring back Ude from his New York base time assist the police in its investigation if he fails to honor the police invitation.

bolaayenimo:
Temidayo Akinsuyi, Lagos
Garba Shehu, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity on Tuesday said he has not been briefed on who succeeds Ibrahim Magu, suspended Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

There has been no official statement from the Presidency since Monday when Magu was arrested and brought before a presidential panel in Abuja headed by Justice Ayo Salam
There has been confusion and anxiety in the commission’s headquarters over who takes over as acting chairman.
The anxiety stems from the fact that Magu’s suspension has not been officially communicated to the Head of Operations, Mohammed Umar, who, according to the EFCC Act, is the next in command to the acting chairman, who should act in his absence.
Also there appears a jostling between Umar and the commission’s Secretary, Olanipekun Olukoyede over who replaces the suspended acting chairman.
When contacted by Daily Independent, Shehu said he has no knowledge of the development as he has not been briefed.
“ I don’t know who takes over. I have not been briefed” he said.
