1.Don’t call someone more than twice continuously. If they don’t pick up your call, presume they have something very important at hand and call again later. 2. Never order the most expensive dish on the menu when someone is giving you a lunch/dinner. 3. Always open the door for the person coming behind you. It doesn’t matter if it is a guy or a girl, senior or junior. You don’t grow small by treating someone well in public. 4. If you take a taxi with a friend and he/she pays now, try paying for him/her next time. 5. Respect different shades of opinions and ideas. Remember what's 6 to you will appear 9 to someone facing you. Besides, second opinion is good for an alternative. 6. Never interrupt people talking. Allow them to pour it out. As they say, hear them all and filter them all. 7. If you tease someone, and they don’t seem to enjoy it, stop it and never do it again. You don’t know people’s state of mind. 8. Say “thank you” when someone is helping you. It will encourage your helper to do more. 9. Praise publicly but Criticize privately. 10. There’s almost never a reason to comment on someone’s weight. Just say, “You look fantastic.” If they want to talk about losing weight, they will; 11. When someone shows you a photo on their phone, don’t swipe left or right. You never know what’s next. 12. Treat the cleaner with the same respect as the CEO. Nobody is impressed at how rude you can treat someone below you but people will notice if you treat them with respect. 13. If a person is speaking directly to you, staring at your phone is rude. 14. Never give advice until you’re asked except on religious ground of which it’s understandable. 15. When meeting someone after a long time, unless they want to talk about it, don’t ask them their achievements and job salary. 16. Mind your business unless anything involves you directly - just stay out of it. 17. Remove your sunglasses if you are talking to anyone in the street. It is a sign of respect. Moreso, eye contact is as important as your speech. 18. Never talk about your riches in the midst of the poor. Similarly, don't talk about your children in the midst of those waiting on God. 19.After reading an educative and insightful message/chat, try and say "Thanks for the message/chat". Thanks for your time. #MSM_edited |

No doubt Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba is a special child, gifted with great music talent by the Almighty God Himself. God destined Ilerioluwa to be a light in the Nigerian music industry. He was indeed a gifted song writer and singer. Ileri knew this himself and no wonder he called himself light and chose the stage name 'MohBad' which is a street slang meaning, "I'm too good." Listening to some of his songs, made me realised how good he was, music wise and the reason his former record label might not have been happy when he left. However, MohBad’s case can be likened to someone who decided to walk in the dark and illuminate the darkness with a candle light. Such a person is expected to guard his candle light from winds and storms, otherwise the light will be out in no time. In MohBad's case, his parents and family were supposed to guild him and help preserve his 'light' but it's obvious they failed in this regard. This should be a lesson and an eye opener to everyone, that God can destine a child to be very great in life but the child needs good character, fear of God and the right association as the required catalysts for the manifestation of such great destiny. MohBad's demise which was avoidable, is very disheartening to us all and many Nigerians are seeking for justice. Therefore as we continue to clamour for justice for MohBad, we should also learn a thing or two from this painful situation so as to make the entertainment industry safe and our society better. My sincere condolences to the family and friends. |

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has revealed reason he ordered traditional rulers in Oyo to stand during the inauguration of two projects in Iseyin area of the State, last Friday. Obasanjo in a now-viral video had condemned the monarchs for failing to rise to greet the State Governor, Seyi Makinde. On reason for his outburst, Obasanjo in an interview with Premium Times said; “I arrived at the event venue with the governor,” the former president said from South Africa where he was attending the burial of politician Mangosuthu Buthelezi, who died on 9 September at 95. “As we arrived, every other person at the venue rose, but they (the monarchs) remained seated. I was surprised because I considered that a breach of protocol and disrespect for the governor. “It later became the turn of the governor to speak. As he rose, every other person at the venue, including me, stood up as demanded by protocol and in respect for the governor and his office. Again, the Obas refused to rise. They all remained seated. “I then asked people around whether that was the practice in Oyo State. I was told the Obas have always displayed disrespect for their governor. I wondered where they got that from and then decided to speak to them about it. “As far as I am concerned, there is constitution and there is culture. By our constitution, the governor is the leader of a State. Everyone must respect him no matter his or her status or age. He deserves respect no matter how young he is and protocols must be observed. “That was why I spoke to them the way I did. I wanted them to realise that it is not part of Yoruba culture to disrespect authorities. Respect begets respect and they must learn to deal with their governor with respect if they want to be respected in return. “I respect traditional rulers and even when I was President and till today, I treat them with reverence. I prostrate, bow and knee before them as necessary. “I respect our culture. But let us also know that there is a Constitution which puts a chairman as head of a local government, a governor as head of a state and a president as head of our country. Whatever we do must be in respect for that arrangement. I am saying there is culture and there is constitution. One must not disturb the other.” Source: http:///3b7f95cc230918en_ng?link=1&client=iosnews

The fact is that if Portable had comported himself and gave a decent performance, most Lawyers would have been entertained and it wouldn't have attracted so much criticisms. It's important for artistes/entertainers to learn how to perform in whatever gathering you are invited to perform. |
The Nigerian Bar Association has issued a clarification regarding singer Habeeb Okikiola's performance at their annual general conference. According to Punch, the association denies the rumors that he was paid to perform and explains the reasoning behind his presence at the event. After Portable's performance at the conference, criticism arose from netizens who believed that his presence diminished the reputation of the association. Some viewed the event as a joke and an embarrassment to the traditional conservatism associated with the legal profession. In response to these concerns, the National Publicity Secretary of the NBA, Akorede Lawal, provided an exclusive interview with reporters to shed light on the situation. He explained that his invitation to perform was due to entertainer Obi Cubana's partnership with the conference as the headline sponsor. Being a brand ambassador for Obi Cubana's product, he was selected as the guest artist to perform at the 'Unbarred concert', which traditionally concludes the conference regardless of the attendees' status. Lawal emphasized that he was not paid for his performance, as the NBA relies on sponsors to finance its events. The association collaborates with partners from various countries who take pride in supporting their initiatives and voluntarily contribute to the conference's funding. Addressing the rumors of lawyers staging a walkout during his performance, he stated that this was not the case. He clarified that the Friendship Center, where the concert was initially planned, serves as a social hub for lawyers to network and unwind. However, due to logistical considerations and to promote the sponsors' brands, the lawyers were redirected to the 'Unbarred concert' at the Velodrome of the National Stadium in Abuja. This relocation aimed to consolidate the activities and avoid simultaneous events at the Friendship Center. He expressed gratitude towards the Cubana Group for sponsoring the event, highlighting their contribution to its success. The conference, titled "Getting it Right," marked its 63rd edition and took place from August 25 to August 30, 2023. Multiple activities were organized throughout the event to enhance the experience for participants. Source: http:///sd8aaf7d230901en_ng?link=1&client=news

anuoreangel:Some people are destined for greatness through their enterprise but their behaviour is always their stumbling block. Like I used to tell people, good character is a required catalyst to destiny's manifestation. It's quite unfortunate how your strong headedness is gradually ruining your cherished business. How can the majority people here on this thread be wrong in offering you advice. Finally, my sincere advice for you is to retrace your steps before it's too late and beyond that, go for deliverance. |

FutureFocus: Iamzuna:Greed, lies and inconsistencies. And to set the record straight, the only time I ever mentioned that he would be responsible for the waybill was when I gave him the option to send the damaged headset like that since he had no money to make the refund that time, even after claiming he offered me refund and I rejected. Meanwhile, the reason I initially rejected his proposed refund was because he didn't send me the picture of the damaged headset before bringing up refund thing. Thereafter, I have been considerate and understanding with him but for his greed things wouldn't have degenerated. The facts is that those that cheat others or cut corners will always lose whatever they gain when they eventually get to the round about. Thanks for lending your voice in condemning the evil because to be silent in the face of evil is to cooperate with the evil. Even though, the issue has been laid to rest he was still lying to justify his greediness. It therefore seems to me that his leopard can never change his spots. Finally, thanks to everyone that contributed to resolving the failed transaction.

niceface:Update: Refund of N21k has now been received after 6 months. Quite unfortunate. |
FutureFocus:Why not wait for me to finish replying your post before making the refund. You used my money to purchase another headset and sold it again for profit, just the way you did with the first one and came up here with another drama. I will have to confirm the refund first because you are a pathological liar. |
FutureFocus:There was never an agreement with Futurefocus on part refund, he only pleaded and I consider his plea. See more chats screenshots below:

FutureFocus:With all sincerity, this guy Futurefocus is an unrepentant Scammer and a pathological liar. After promising to refund me and failing several times since December, 2022, I gave him several options to enable him meet up but no headway. Recently I got a flash call from him and I gave him a call back. He pleaded that he will like to make a part refund of 10k from the 21k. And that he will still try to get me another headset or he will refund the full balance. I accepted and he sent me the 10k about three days ago. The following day, he flashed my number again and when I called back he said he was at the market then and has seen another good headset that I should send him 6k immediately from the 10k he initially refunded for him to buy the replacement headset. I sent him the 6k, thereby making the new headset - 11k and he sent me the pics of d headset. And told me that this one he got has no Noise Cancellation and that it has peels on it, I decided to accept the new headset because we have been on the issue for over 6 months. He thereafter told me that we shall discuss d waybill when he gets home. The following day, I tried chatting him up about the waybill arrangements but he didn't reply. The next day again I sent him another reminder, which he later replied that he has to take his time to test the headset before sending it and that I will have to send an additional N1500, so I asked if the extra N1500 was for the waybill and he said no. Then, I asked what the extra money was for, if it's not for waybill and he said it's an additional money for the headset. Meanwhile, he didn't mention this while purchasing it at the market not until I inquired about the waybill arrangements of my items. Again, the headset is different from the first one I bought from him and wasn't of the same price. So, I told him that I can only send him money for transport to the Moto park - Any Abuja bus park around his area to arrange for the waybill. And I immediately sent him N1k yesterday night for the transport to the Moto park because he had already said it will cost about N1k to transport him to Iddo park. Only for him to change this morning and said that he has already put up the headset for sale. This guy is an unrepentant liar. Those that have successfully patronised him were just lucky to escape his greedy antics. They will see his true colour when they have any complaint about any of the item bought. He's found of inflating prices after receiving money for items, while claiming the item is worth more on e-commerce websites. I will be posting his details soon for people to be aware. Pls see our chat screenshots below to confirm the truth. I emplore you all to please go through our chats below and not to fall his victim. I have reduced the pics sizes so as not to consume much of your data. Thanks
