Food prices can't just come down. Tackle the problem from the root. Insecurity, Cost of petroleum products. And farm inputs like agro chemicals, fertilizers. You don't expect a farmer to grow crops at high cost and sell them cheap.

Our problem is shortcut attitude or witchcraft mentality.
In a pool of 1000 people, 750 are trying to do as little work as possible in exchange for all the profit in the world by selling what 250 persons are producing manually.
It should be the other way round(750 producers and 250 sellers).
When profit from sales can't sustain the selling majority, they form trade Union and cliques, then start regulating prices.

The govt too are not doing the proper thing. They are just watching producers suffer. Little effort to mechanize, insecurity, post harvest losses and senseless extortion just to mention a few. How will the defenceless masses embrace production when these things persists?
I expect the owambe FG to have beat greedy middlemen to the harvest and buy it off into store houses from where it can be resold at fairer prices into the market for Nigerians to buy. They are more concerned about looting Nigeria at a crucial time.
As long as that sector is not regulated. Forget it. The farmers are buying agro chem and other imputs at expensive rate. You don't expect their food items to get to the market cheap.

To the topic, this is traumatic for those women.
May we not be unfortunate!
Seems the bride was among those kidnapped and I read that bandits ll marry her off again.
You won't see cretins like AntiChristian CoronaVirusPro k4kenny Rashduct4luv Xpanse2020 God1000 etc to come n condemn this.
Banditry would be abolished with force. It's a shame in 2017 a gov gave them plea bargain. Now see that they v turned it to biz. No quitting cos the crime is paying them.
Sick country!

Jewessgratitud3:
Don't listen to voices from the pit of hell telling you not to marry. Prayerfully approach God with your quest for a wife and watch while you pray. Before long, you'll find her.

Where you look also matters. You can't be praying for a wife and be going to clubs or visiting hookup stand, you'll only be wasting your time. So, watch from either your office space, church or a decent family you know their background to be good.

Best of luck in your search.
You still de here? grin

Always complaining because of their laziness and short intelligence.
When you were left alone with your resources during regionalism, what did you do?
You were still backward.
Most of your ancestors then were running to Ibadan until Aguiyi Ironsi, out of jealousy brought decree 34 where everyone will give almost everything to the centre.
Just to stop the growth of those who know how to use their resources to grow themselves.

Ibadan didn't have ports, customs etc but it became the most developed place in Nigeria then and gave you most of what you use in Nigeria till date.
Shouldn't we go back to that model? Its could have been better if your comment wasn't laced with tribalism. Thank you

Fembleez1:
It sincerely is not working. My head is just thinking about what the next minimum wage will be. Say 120,000 or more than that. How many states will have the resources to pay such? It is on record that some states are still struggling to pay the present 30,000 due to expire in March. Omo! We sincerely need those at the National Assembly to decentralize many powers in the Constitution. The problem of this country, apart from thieves looting our resources, is that 1999 Constitution.

Each State needs to have its minimum wage different from what the Fed pays.
Exactly. But the politicians will do anything to making Abuja lucrative. The moment Abuja loses its relevance they will come back home. That's their greatest fear.
