A middle aged man , a tricycle driver named Debo Oturu, was reportedly shot dead by gun men suspected to be cultists in Mushin area of Lagos State while on his way to visit his family.

The ordeal occured on Lawani Street in the area, residents in the area said he must have been mistaken for someone else ,a rival possibly because he is not base in that area and only came once in a while to visit his mum.

The deceased who is an indigene of Ose local government area, Ondo State, was shot all over his body by suspected cultists who must have mistaken him for another person ,na wa o, what a tragedy .

The matter also led to the shooting of another innocent young man who witness the multiple gunshot that killed the 25 year-old Debo Oturu . His tougue almost got him killed but managed the survice the bullet wounds .

The eye witness Bolaji Kosoko gave his version of the incident , continue reading bellow .

"It was at about 10 pm on Friday, (May 15). I was discussing with my friend and also preparing to take dinner when I heard a gunshot. I shouted, ‘which bastard is that?’ Then the gunshots increased. One of the gunmen ran after me. He shot me in the back and leg. I don’t know how I survived it; I could have died."

Kosoko said he was assisted by a friend to a nearby hospital where he received treatment, while the tricyclist died on the spot.

Cultism is one issue that should be addressed in Nigeria because the rate of killing by cultist is on the high side especially the rival war Currently happening in Benin City ,Edo state right now . It was reported that more than 30 souls has been lost in this rival war for no reason .

According to The Nation , 2 cousins of President Goodluck Ebelle Jonathan have been abducted in Bayelsa State yesterday Tuesday, May 19, 2015 by about six gunmen, the victims are Patience Egbeni and Kate Eni .

According to the report , the swift drama happened at about 8:30am at Akimpelai in the Ogbia Local Government Area of the state when six men dressesd in military camouflage stormed the area , they innitially pretended to be men of the Nigerian army before executing their mission.

A source said that the two have been preparing to welcome the President after the May 29 handover to Buhari. If they are not rescued on time i fear their dream to welcome their brother will be shattered and will never be a reality .

Meanwhile , Butswat Asinim ,who is the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), for the state, has further comfirmed the incident , he said all possible mechanism to recover them are put in place already.

They were taken away via speedboat by the 6 gun men dressed in military camouflage . They went straight to the provision stores of the victims at the riverside and abducted , took them into a waiting speedboat and rode off.

He further revealed that the matter has beeen reported to various security bodies in the state, including the marine and anti-kidnapping squad of the police, hopefully they must have been doing everything possible to recover them .
