As far as I'm concerned, only the founding fathers of Nigeria are great politicians. The likes of Anenih, Obasanjo, Tinubu e.t.c destroyed the legacies of our founding fathers hence I don't miss them at all; I would be happy if the likes of Tinubu, Obasanjo, Anenih e.t.c are destroyed by a miraculous sword, to save Nigeria from their dubious and selfish politicking.

So, who among our present crop of politicians do you think are with the right stead of our to re-enact the kind of politics played by our founding? fathers?

Nigeria's political history is full of politicians who in one way or the other carved a niche for themselves. While some did in controversial circumstances others did leaving with unblemished record. Right from pre-independence and post independence political atmosphere in the country, names like Herbert Macaulay, Nnamdi Azikiwe, Obafemi Awolowo, Aminu Kano, Amhadu Bello of the old generation of politicians shone like a million stars in politics and even till date, the mention of their names evoke heroic feelings. Recent political development has thrown up millennia politicians whose political charisma also impacted in one way or the other in the political terrain of Nigeria. Men like the late Okadigbo, Tinubu, Tony Anenih, a civilian Obasanjo, etc are some politicians in the real sense of the word that have carved a niche for themselves, though not only by the position they occupied, but by their astuteness or politicking in getting things done. But now these politicians are ageing and they may soon leave the terrain. My question now is who among the new and young generation of politicians in Nigeria today would assume the sagacity, power and influence some of these politicians were identified with? To my mind, only a handful of the present and young politicians appear to be in the stead to command and wield influence the way the prior men did. My mind has Governor Oshiomhole, Gov. El Rufai, Gov. Okorocha, etc. Pls drop those you have in mind.

Baseless statistics. For the period under review, nobody among my friends, family and relations, neighbors and relatives has lost a job, instead majority of the hitherto jobless ones have gotten either self employed or gainfully employed in an organization. Between last two months and now, I know of over 5 persons that have either been employed by a bank, private organization or even a government agency. Even my humble self have created a job this this month. What are we talking about? What is NBS's bases on these misleading statistics? I think this agency is one of the numerous government agencies that needs 'surgical operation'.

The post is misleading. You should have said 'diplomatic passport' so that some persons will not think it is the ordinary international passport. Moreover, it is not unusual for aids of former presidents to return their diplomatic passport and forfeit diplomatic privileges once their principal is no longer in office. Please, you guys should stop heating up the polity with posts like this.

Yea, but in any rumour, there is always elements of truth, except if EFCC in its now notorious incompetence or deliberate acts, do a shoddy job at investigation and/or prosecution.

One of the set of people allowed by President Jonathan to do anything they so wanted with public funds, while he turns blind eyes to them, no matter the public outcry. Really pissed off by the acts of these dudes.

Do you know anyone that is very humble, peaceful, unassuming, adaptive, fun, yet intelligent irrespective of their religion? Check their state of origin, they're most likely from the middlebelt! Save for a few bad eggs, most have very endearing qualities.
I grew more respect for them during the elections, I thought they were going to vote against Buhari being a Fulani man because of the way fulani herdsmen and people bully them on their lands. But surprisingly, they gave majority votes to APC even though there's also a large Christian population there. It shows they may not be phyical fighters but they can reason strategically.

The North central is the only region that hardly has militants, "freedom fighters", or whatever silly, violent, directionless, selfish, groups all other regions have.

They go about their businesses without creating drama and irritaing tantrums at the drop of a hat. Sometimes they're mistaken for "slaves" or docile people but there's a difference between being docile and wise. They're wise enough to know that fighting for their own country when they know they're not economically, socially, or politically ready to stand on their own two feet or allowing some selfish politicians to use their youths to fight "marginalization" is just NOT the way out.

The rest of us should please borrow a leaf from them. We need it urgently.

I observed two things from this post: One, PDP admits it is corrupt, 2. That Buhari is a man of integrity which is opposite of their assertion during the election campaigns.
